This was a realization of one family's dream home. It is their taste and style.
I remember when Julio Iglesias, Sylvester Stallone and Madonna all lived on the island at the same time.
Those must have been the great times! Even now the island has a pretty exclusive list of neighbors ))
The only thing that lets the property down is in fact this video, for 74million I would have expected a more professional video, the quality and voice over is aweful. Shame really

I’d keep the new house and tear down the old house. I’d build a state of the art garage for my classic car collection or a gym that is 10x better than Anatomy in Miami Beach.
They had to keep the old house because of the Miami Beach historic houses preservation laws. The old house actually was close to the water, they had to lift if off the ground and move to the back of the lot. I believe you can find a video of it on TH-cam if you type in 27 Star Island.
I strongly suspected that was the case. I wonder if they can legally gut the interior and use it for something else other than a traditional home.

$74 million, seem nothing special house. Look like regular house, I can tell $1-2 million dollars.
I understand that it can be challenging to comprehand the value, however in real estate there are three major factors that play an important role in price formation: Location, size of the property/lot and market. This property is in the most desired location, has two separate homes and a large lot and the market is still very hot. But if you are ready to pay $1-2 million I can definitely find you another property in your budget ;))
