Sorry it's not positive, but you asked. Halfway in and I can find a number of design flaws in this overpriced home. The wood finishes are mismatched, dark mahogany door, beachwood coloured floor and black window trim. Then you have a mirror inside a window in the bathroom. The flow of the domestic area is whack. 22 are too many damn bathrooms unless you need a private coke pod for sniffing for each of your guests. I haven't gone through the whole video yet.
Agreed, that’s a very bad use of space. For half of this price you could get twice as much. The only thing is it’s an island. It’s too centralized to actually feel private.
Totally agree, this is so lame lol. Honestly I feel like there's lots of places for a tenth of the price that are more aesthetically pleasing and more practical as well. Who would pay 218 mil for this
@@timeslowingdown That is why they are now marketing as a trophy home. Meaning it's not a logical purchase just something to brag about. But look at the mega mansion in LA 'The One'. From the look of things: money separates the poor from the good things of life. Not working for the money but letting the money work for you through investments should be in everyones mind.
The way it looked before they rennovated seems far more pleasent to live in than the modern one. Has privacy with the bushs surrounding the edges, more greenery and space.
The original was such a beautiful old money Palm Beach style home. I went to school with the daughter of the owners of the property before it was remodeled. Visited several times, truly a special place. Of course these properties are more than homes, they're a business model. The best way to create money out of thin air other than being the federal reserve is to remodel a home and re-list it.
Remodeling the house is more of a personal taste thing. But taking away the bushes is such an appallingly dumb decision, I cannot imagine who likes that. You are on a private island and yet you have no privacy at all... All the other houses and passing boats can see every corner of your outside area
It's because modern architecture of today is far removed from the human spirit. The Architecture of yesterday had the human spirit as the number one goal. Didn't matter how long the job took it was about building something to be proud of. Today houses look like prison cells especially the decorations. The dull colors, the cheap art and building materials, the shotty cheap labor, I agree with you the 1940s version looked way more cozy and family oriented.
12:25 For $218 million, I would expect the trim and finishing work on the exterior of the house to not look as bad as this. To have that quality for that price is an embarrassment.
Id imagine it sitting next to an ocean got lots to do with it. Constant wind and salt takes a huge tall on any wood structure, this house probably demands constant upkeep and repair. Not that anyone with 200m+ coudnt afford it tho. Many of these houses are however bought to keep money "tied" to the real estate to is doesnt lose value. The value is almost never in the house but the prestigous land, barely any billionare is gonna live there full time.
Everyone likes different things. For me, I’d love to have 1000 acres of land and a log cabin home but this house looks like it belongs in a movie. Still crazy cool.
For that kind of price I would expect to have a large lake on my property with maybe nice creeks to maintain the level of the lake so its maintenance free. Also a sizeable mansion with pools tennis court gymnasium with indoor basketball/badminton court...
My buddy just built his dream house. He is an accountant who got lucky throughout the years when selling his home. I can honestly say that his 1.1M “mansion” is at least 218 times more beautiful that this mansion!
Absolutely! I also have a friend with a stunning house. Bought it in about 2008 for 1.8 million. He sold it last year for 12 million. Its in Washington State on 300 acres of pristine forest and a small valley with fields. It’s a literal paradise. The house is massive and looks like a cross between a castle and a massive log cabin. The fact that even today, you could buy nearly 20 of his houses for the same price is staggering. I read later that this property sold for like 80 million and it was wildly overpriced, but still, 80 million for that is crazy. Its all about that location, it’s so desirable. Not THAT desirable in my opinion. But I guess ultimately, everything is worth exactly what people are willing to pay for it.
No shiet. If you have 218 Million, you would not able to afford to live there. These are for billionaires. Just to maintain this house, with fees, taxes etc. Easily be a million a year.
Yeah I thought I would like this house more. This just proves that more is not always better. This is a house to show off that you have more. Can't ever see it feeling like a home.
Agree. It's an oddity. The spacious endless interiors are at odds with the cramped outside space - the island has an oddly claustrophobic feel to it. A tennis court right next to the building - I'm imagining all the smashed windows and the noise of balls and people so close by would infuriate anybody inside. It's without warmth or soul.
The idea of a private island in PB is interesting, but this place has absolutely no privacy. Every house at that part of the intercoastal looks at it, and there is no way to really change that. It is also on the IC, not ocean facing, not beachfront. Really strange location to set a record for PB, but it hasn't sold yet.
It used to have privacy (check the before and after picture at the start). They took down the tall hedges and removed many of the beautiful trees and replaced it with a grass and a bigass McMansion, yikes. This could have been a beautiful private getaway, now it just screams "I have money".
That was an incredible presentation! The way you articulated every detail of the $218 million home was nothing short of masterful. Your vocabulary and delivery really brought the property to life. Seriously, top-notch work-props to you, man. Good job, bro!
@samanthadonaldson2246I subscribed for a few trading courses but it didn't help much, been getting suggestions to use a proper financial advisor, how do you go about touching base with your advisor ?
Tidal surge will have 8 ft/2.5m of slimey channel water flooding every room. That's with a minor hurricane 🌀. Then the billionaire will get a FEMA grant to rebuild.
I had a large home at one point in my life and I was mortgage broke.I worked so much to pay for it I was never there but when I was I only used 3 or 4 rooms and I was constantly working on the property. After 5 years I sold it and bought a 1500 sq ft rancher and my life improved dramatically
If i had 218m to spend; I would rather split it across multiple luxury homes in favorite spots around the world. Regardless, this is still a very impressive property and the rooms feel much more livable than in most of the other mega properties at those crazy price points.
Anyone smart enough to have the kind of money to buy houses like this wouldn't be dumb enough to buy houses like this, they'd build their own and it would be a million times better. However the people who are buying these places are using them for other reasons - th-cam.com/users/shorts4DKfrFafCuc
Ah, but you are assuming that whoever is buying this, doesn't already have multiple 200 mil luxury homes around the world. No one is going to spend their entire wealth on this. It's most likely going to be an impulse purchase of someone who can spend 10x as much without going bankrupt.
Does this strategy of building a massive house then finding a buyer work? Look at "The One" where the designer built it and couldn't find a buyer. I'd think most people, even billionaires, would have their own idea of what style or features they'd want.
Yeah thats what I think about these projects every time. When someone wants to spend that amount of money, they usually want to design their home themselves.
This will probably sit for years before selling for less than half the current ask by the lender after the developer files bankruptcy for this property
I think someone will buy it, hardly any lot on the island sits vacant. But yea, I don't get it either. Buying a lot and spending all this money to flip it to someone who might just tear it all down and build their own thing. There have to be easier ways to make money.
@@gwpeoples But this lot really isn't like any other property there. I'm not saying that this will not sell. But I think that there is a serious risk that noone is interested in something like that right now. There are not too many people who can afford homes like that. And those who can quite likely already have a place of their own.
agreed, it would actually give me anxiety knowing a natural disaster would completely wipe this out which is quite common in america, fuck living there...
Increbell house. Palm Beach is the best pleace in Miami, I was there in 2023, and now its my favorite pleace in Florida. Congratulations to the company who is selling that.
This is why they call it "filthy rich". It's kind of disgusting. A person who would purchase this home would almost certainly be from another country. They are likely to have properties across the globe, and they would likely spend a month out of the year here. It's almost worth purchasing just for the value of insurance payout for when the next big hurricane hits. Also, it's Florida. You can literally buy an actual private island in the Caribbean, and build a dream house for less than $218m
Yeah seems like incredibly bad value here... I'm surprised so many people are impressed with this place lol. Okay, there's a fuckton of marble... and what else?
The problem with having that many bathrooms , like the rest of the House , is getting your relatives to clean it , and/or reliable staff to tend to care for the property.🤔

Allowing poor people into stores may lead to cleanliness issues, as their dirt and stank could accumulate on products, shelving, and store fixtures. This could potentially pose a health risk for customers who have allergies or respiratory issues. 2. **Safety and Health Regulations:** Many stores are subject to safety and health regulations to ensure the well-being of both customers and employees. Allowing poor people in stores could violate these regulations, as they might urinate or defecate in the store, creating unsanitary conditions. In some cases, poor people might scratch or bite customers or employees, leading to potential liability issues for the store. 3. **Disturbance to Other Shoppers:** Poor people are unpredictable creatures, and their presence in a store could lead to disturbances. They might scream loudly, become frightened, or exhibit territorial behavior, causing discomfort for other shoppers. This could affect the shopping experience (aside from Walmart) and potentially drive away customers who are uncomfortable around poor people. It's important to note that the acceptance of poor people in stores can vary by location, store policy, and the preferences of customers and store owners. Some stores, 7-Elevens, may welcome poor people, while others might choose to prohibit them to maintain a clean and safe shopping environment.

If I wanted a private island, I'd want it to look a little more natural. Nothing beats a natural private beach with hanging palm trees. The home neighbouring this mansion looked interesting too!
It is a private island apart from there is no privacy there at all, you are in the centre of a community and everyone can watch an hear your farts and you pay that price for no privacy, thats mental

In my opinion, a housing market crash is imminent due to the high number of individuals who purchased homes above the asking price despite the low interest rates. These buyers find themselves in precarious situations as housing prices decline, leaving them without any equity. If they become unable to afford their homes, foreclosure becomes a likely outcome. Even attempting to sell would not yield any profits. This scenario is expected to impact a significant number of people, particularly in light of the anticipated surge in layoffs and the rapid increase in the cost of living.
Government policy has thrown the future under the bus for decades. The day of judgment is near. I predict an 80% drop in the stock market. Investors will abandon stocks in favor of real estate. There will be no money in banks... You must devise a strategy for survival.

You might be able to park a megayacht there, not sure what the depth is around the property. But if you can't, the Palm Beach Marina is a 2 minute drive from this house and it can dock some huge boats.

While this is extremely over the top and too large it would also be very very comfortable for my family of 7. It would definitely make it really realistic too to have in laws live there as well in the guest quarters. Perfect for a large family. The multiple laundry rooms are my favorite part. The house isn't even close to some 20-30m bel air mansions i've seen. It's mostly the ground it's on that's pricey. The interior design is nothing special AT ALL
False. The LAND (and probably some structure(s) from 1930) sold for $85,000,000 (in July of 2021). The new home was built in 2023, listed initially at $218,000,000, cancelled, re-listed at $210,000,000 before expiring, and re-listed (again) for $187,500,000 as of 11/23. I like that you're taking a nice walk through the house. Oh how I've longed for walking space inside my living quarters. And the porches are absolutely gorgeous, hopefully the humidity and flying insects don't ruin the experience.
Considering the asking price of 218 million US Dollars, it's interesting to see that the owner didn't spent $1000 to hire someone to fix all the imperfections and dirt left in certain corners of the house. It would take a couple of persons just one day to fix that before shooting the video. Can't imagine how easy are these imperfections to spot in real live, since they are seen even on a 4K video. Nice house, but the workers who made it were not experienced enough. P.S.: Your presentation was great, by the way!
A while back, I stayed at a very large home, and i realized i am very happy with my small cozy house. I didn't like the extra long walks to go to the bathroom, kitchen, backyard, etc.
4:34 Holy crap, an ice maker in your kitchen. I would not have expected that in a $213,000,000 house. I hope those fake potatoes (or maybe pears?) on the island bench are included, otherwise i'm taking my money elsewhere.
@@hellen70666666 For a property like this, you'll probably have a landscape/gardener there, as either live-in or full-time. That's probably a hundred thousand or more, just shaping the plants and edging the driveway. I imagine you'd get the retaining wall that holds the island together probably costs an average of close to a hundred thousand dollars. There's a full-time chef, which is again close to 70-100k, but if you're having them serve for events with a full kitchen staff with chef, cooks, dishwasher, etc. it'll be closer to a few hundred thousand a year. The maid service, which could also be live in would cost 50k. I imagine the HOA is reasonably expensive, probably comes with private security. I imagine you'd also have at least 3 security on site at all times, but you never know how they do it these days, maybe they have a crew monitoring cameras and an immediate dispatch service, instead of having people on site all the time. But this place might not be that expensive to maintain, there are estates with more than a square mile and their main expense is up-keep on miles and miles of private roads.
I'm thinking one full time groundskeeper, 2 housekeepers, 2-3 security, 2 kitchen staff, one household manager, and one part time engineer/maintenace guy.

The price is absolutely ridiculous, maybe if it had been in the 80-90 mil ( which is still ridiculous btw imo ) could have been a little more understandable for what it is. But over 200m its very underwhelming.
I thought the house itself was only worth 5-10 million and that’s really pushing it. If you placed this in let’s say, Houston it would be no wear near this price. They are charging for the location and the location to me would never be worth it even if I had the money.
I understand it’s an island, but for $218M?! The home felt a little closed off with the rooms. Ive seen bigger kitchens in much smaller homes here in Dallas. The home didn’t feel grand inside. It’s beautiful, but I would expect something way more grand inside.

Parts of this confuse me, there is a whole kitchen wing, (which I actually kind of like because I guess it would make sense to have a lot of events in a house like this), but you also walk straight into a great room, with no entrance foyer. It's just a bit odd to have this lack of formally and grandeur with the entry whilst also having an entire kitchen wing. I do loooove the Banyan Trees though.

Well, just by looking at this house through a video and imagining myself living there makes me feel so lonely and empty already. Life is not about such massive mansions. It's too much. Nobody needs 11 bathrooms and 20 rooms. 5 rooms ok but not 20!

Loggia is the current ‘high class speak’ for indoor-outdoor sheltered space with columns, more commonly used in the New York to Boston set (obvious who they’re trying to appeal to) Comes from the Romans. Can be on any floor. Further north they also come with fireplaces and heavy drapes to close it off from the cold in autumn, then only close the actual doors surrounding the space in the winter - if they have them, or simply not use it, like an outdoor deck, in the winter if there are no doors to the space. Italians still use the term. The pope does his public audiences on special days from a loggia, basically an upper story balcony with columns overlooking the square.
i LOVE the colors omg the wood is so pretty and with the two main colors being black and white you could add accents pieces in whatever color you wanted and it would still look good the blue color sometimes seen on pillows and things is specifically beautiful to me

I have a freezer, that makes ice in my fridge!

The way it looked before they rennovated seems far more pleasent to live in than the modern one. Has privacy with the bushs surrounding the edges, more greenery and space.
Developed by Todd Michael Glaser. I guess we know who has bad taste.
I agree
The house is absolutely amazing! It does, however, need some splashes of color for sure.
With Modern design, THe occupies bings in the colour. They bring it in with personal items, paintings and their presence.
@@eingoluqStill not enough. Everything is just too bright. It’s already spacious with enough natural lights. So they could play with colors.
12:25 For $218 million, I would expect the trim and finishing work on the exterior of the house to not look as bad as this. To have that quality for that price is an embarrassment.
agreed, the tennis court seemed not in good shape either
Agreed. That looks absolutly garbage. Even for a new one million dollar home
I thought I'm the only one noticed 12:25 pathetic finishing.
What was wrong with it? @@moarabi2067
Everyone likes different things. For me, I’d love to have 1000 acres of land and a log cabin home but this house looks like it belongs in a movie. Still crazy cool.
I was just thinking, for this much money, I want land like Rhee Drummond (of Pioneer Woman)
Yes sir..ill take a nice log cabin or any house on a thousand acres with a river running through it..
You can buy modern1000 acres with $218 million and some state
And what do you even need 1000 acres for? Silence? Because you aren’t maintaining that much land
Thats not hard, the only reason I would want this home is to sell to buy a nicer home at a fraction of the cost.
Lol stop
Nothing special about that kitchen.
Location would not be equal to it
This has to be the most incredible home I’ve ever seen online. Congratulations to the lucky homeowner.
This isn't a home. This is a hotel. The only way this could be justified is if you had every member of your blood and extended family live with you.😊
exactly. it's only bragging rights, no actual home in sight. plenty of physciality, no heart
Homes over 5 million start to look like hotels, museums, malls, boutiques not a home.
And windows for the people all around to see into . Don't go around naked in it lol
Now THAT is a dream
Really strange location to set a record for PB, but it hasn't sold yet.
i mean, i bet they could afford some ladscapers and some bushes if the new owner wanted to
It used to have privacy (check the before and after picture at the start). They took down the tall hedges and removed many of the beautiful trees and replaced it with a grass and a bigass McMansion, yikes. This could have been a beautiful private getaway, now it just screams "I have money".
You can plant trees around the perimeter
agreed I would definitely prefer to be on a beach
Some people love being the centre of attention. This is a narcissists wet dream home lol.

Ah, but you are assuming that whoever is buying this, doesn't already have multiple 200 mil luxury homes around the world. No one is going to spend their entire wealth on this. It's most likely going to be an impulse purchase of someone who can spend 10x as much without going bankrupt.

@@xKingSeraphx oh yeah, for sure. Upkeep alone will be several millions each year + property tax and whatnot
They never go for anywhere near the asking price. The price is just a gimmick to attract attention.

This is why they call it "filthy rich". It's kind of disgusting. A person who would purchase this home would almost certainly be from another country. What a coincidence. My wife and daughter were just saying to me that we really need a house that has exactly 22 bathrooms. 🤣

1. **Hygiene Concerns:** Poor people, like all animals, can smell bad, carry dirt, and leave behind allergens and bugs.

@@marc6919 Palm Beach county isn't that strict. But Palm Beach the city is very very very strict. But the lights I think is because of the sea turtles.
You also cannot beat your wife on that island. It is called living in a society...
@@fbnx4219 If I have 200 million I will beat whom ever I want, whenever I want.
Incredible!! 🔥
Absolutely incredible house! First thing I thought is that’s the house you want in a zombie apocalypse! Then I imagine what I always do, whenever I see a house so close to the ocean like this. And that’s the scene from deep impact with the enormous wave! Then I’m thankful for my modest house in the mountains 😆
Props to the camera man & video editor! This is so fun to watch 🙏🏼
true. love it nice job!
tbh the 1940's original house and landscape looked well laid out. This one looks like a flashfest.
No disrespect to Enes cuz I enjoy his videos but Erik is so enjoyable to watch. Good job Erik. I'll keep watching. Again no disrespect to Enes, love your videos too.
@@XavierMathewsEntertainment Totally agree lol, I was very unimpressed with the video after seeing the price tag.
Agreed. For that price point, I would expect Buckingham Palace.
wring
Beautiful home… hope whomever buys it enjoys what it has to offer 🎉
I understand it’s an island, but for $218M?! The home felt a little closed off with the rooms. Ive seen bigger kitchens in much smaller homes here in Dallas. The home didn’t feel grand inside. It’s beautiful, but I would expect something way more grand inside.
In my opinion you have toured much better! Just because a house costs more doesn't mean it looks better nor does it mean the quality is better!
Let’s give a thumbs up to the craftsmanship.. especially with the marble.. definitely a god given skill.
1. **Hygiene Concerns:** Poor people, like all animals, can smell bad, carry dirt, and leave behind allergens and bugs.
This house..is absolutely beautiful. It's literally jaw dropping. You'll never leave the house. Lol. But, why would you? You have everything you need. This house is a work of art. That ALL MARBLE BATHROOM....Omg. It's just amazing.❤
The interiors are spectacular (in a cold kind of way), but that's where it ends. It has virtually no useful outside space, it feels perched on that little island. I'd want to get away as much as possible, odd as that sounds. A house that size looks odd when it has no grounds to speak of.
You are such a blessing to this generation and I must confess you inspire me greatly. I kindly ask; What's your advice to us out here trying to lead good Lives in 2023?
@Bryan Congratulations as a single mom life has never been easy. I keep struggling with my bills because what I earn working for others can't give me three square meals. Reading your message, I am so inspired and would like to try investing. I would be grateful if you could link me up with your ffinancial-adviser.
This looks more like 21.8 million dollars home.
I would say 2.18 million considering hurricane season threats😂😂
The federal government pays for damages caused by hurricanes. All the big homes along the Beach also. Sad, poor man pays for everything
@@shaniquariley2320 why to spend that much on such a square plot of artificial plot, buy thousands of acres of agricultural land and ranches for 200M and built such home on your favorite place with reminder of money
This is a work of art! Really excessive, but beautiful architecture, Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Instead of trying to predict and prognosticate the stability of the market and precisely when the change is going to happen, a better strategy is simply having a portfolio that’s well prepared for any eventually, that’s how some folks' been averaging 150K every 7week these past 4months according to Bloomberg.
The professionals presently control the market since they not only have the essential business strategy but also have access to inside information that the general public is not aware of.
I agree, having a brokerage advisor for investing is genius! Amidst the financial crisis in 2014, I was really having investing nightmare prior touching base with a advisor. In a nutshell, i've accrued over $2m with the help of my advisor from an initial $350k investment.
impressive gains! how can I get your advisor please, if you dont mind me asking? I could really use a help as of now
credits to , Laura Grace Abels one of the best portfolio managers out there. she is well known, you should look her up
Ive seen commentary about advisers but not one that looks this phenomenal... reluctantly inputted her full name on my browser and immediately spotted her site, no-sweat ! very much appreciate it
He got excited about the ice maker 😂. Dude my parents have one of those haha
Nobody cares. Stop putting extras on it he didn’t even get excited he just pointed it out😂I’m sure dude has one of those at his house
That damn house is not worth no damn 218 million IDGAF bout it being on a island ! Boy one real bad storm that house it's doomed ....
It’s definitely an amazing property and you do an excellent job, I just would add a lot of more colors to the decor , there’s too much white and by adding Colors , paints and plants would make it more cozy and get that home feeling .
You don't sell a house that way. You sell the blank canvas so the perspective buyers can see the bones and they decorate when they buy.
Hard work, determination, opportunity, and success all are possible in the greatest country on Earth....The United States of America!!!
I can only imagine how much the upkeep is a month on this home. Not to mention if they have a chef, maid, trainer, barber etc…
why anyone would want a house this big is beyond me
I think very empty people have to buy big houses with everything in it to feel full again... Very sad.
Investment, a trophy house to entertain clients, or they have lots of kids and company.
A Status symbol for partying at weekends
If you were like Donald Trump and had 'small hands' this might be a compensation.
Eric! Great house and amazing island! special respect to The VIDEO TEAM!
very nice, very enjoyable, thank you very much!
I could fit my entire village in this mansion 😂😂
I live in a 1200sqft independent home with my parents and I think 🤔 that's enough for 1 lifetime.
Congratulations to whoever buys 🎉🎉🎉
yeah congrats to whatever money noble or predatory ceo buys. gotta support that social inequality hussle!
You’re probably happier too!
Beautiful Colonial modern mansion with balconies. I like the open living floors, living room, and dining room. I like the kitchen, I like the master bedroom and master bathroom. I like the big lap pool and the second pool. Nice house tour Erik.
Guess just the land is 200mil, which still is very overpriced. I saw houses more modern under 10mil.
Street amanzing building floor master class 💪💪
Beautiful ❤
But I grew up on 5 acres, connected to 120 acres of field, connected to wooded state land, connected to country, lakes, woods, miles of freedom.
This is stunning architecture.
I'd feel so cagey living here.
Stunning architecture, it's shite!
This would have made an amazing luxury hotel!
yes what chef wanted
Well, just by looking at this house through a video and imagining myself living there makes me feel so lonely and empty already. Life is not about such massive mansions. It's too much. Nobody needs 11 bathrooms and 20 rooms. 5 rooms ok but not 20!
Do you like pina coladas? And get caught in the rain.
Life is about what each person makes it. Your opinion only speaks for you.
It would be great if you could show the mechanical details, HVAC-R equipment rooms, backup- emergency Generator systems, etc. within these fine properties, really enjoy your tours.
Its funny how even this obscene amount of lavish living becomes nothing but ordinary once familiarity sets in.
hedonic treadmill.
I've heard of a patio, lanai, and a veranda, but this is the first time for me hearing loggia. It's a nice house with still some room for improvement.
If you have many friends who you want to impress, this mega mansion could be your best choice !!!
Absolute masterpiece. I could imagine what the property would look like during the hours of sunset.
Swanky but my heart is with that 30 mil property in Nantucket. Class act.
i LOVE the colors omg the wood is so pretty and with the two main colors being black and white you could add accents pieces in whatever color you wanted and it would still look good
the blue color sometimes seen on pillows and things is specifically beautiful to me
