The "3" on Steam Fresh is number of garments, not minutes.

Does anyone know if you can SEE steam or moisture through the window when the steam sanitize cycle is on?

I turned the drum light on while trying out a single towel. I could hear the water come on and off but never saw anything or noticed the window steaming up.

The manual says that the 3 is the number of garments and you can increase it or decrease it with the time increase/decrease button.

That’s a big no. Towels one of few things that need to be washed all of the time. Additionally the steam sanitary cycle on the dryer is going to use a massive amount of electricity AND *bake* in all the nasty stuff on your towel. You’re not saving anything. Just spending needless energy to end up with dirty towels that will be more difficult to wash in the future.

Flat-out wrong. Steaming saves massive amounts of electricity over washing and drying. The moisture in the towels, as long as they're otherwise clean, is easily removed by the dryer, and the steam destroys allergens, pathogens, and mold. They won't have the nice smell of fabric conditioner, but they will smell clean and be dry enough for further use. You can always use dryer sheets if you really want the smell back.

Does this have a steam feeder? If not, where does the steam come from?

You have to connect the dryer to the water supply.

Most people use spit. They'll spit in the dryer. Lmao 🤣 I'm kidding. Ya these normally have to hook up to a water line just like a freezer that creates ice. Some have a water tray instead. So you fill the container if you want steam

How does it make steam for the Steam Fresh mode, without being hooked up to water?

There should be a cold water connector on the back of a dryer with steam function. Then you'll need a steam connector kit. It should have a shorter (about 12 inch) hose, a Y connector, and another hose, usually about 6 ft. The longer hose may have an end with a bend in it. That will end up connecting to the back of the dryer. You'll unplug electrical cords, turn off the cold water faucet, then disconnect the washing machine hose from the faucet. Connect the shorter hose to the faucet, the Y connector to that, then the washer hose to the Y connector, and the other hose from the Y connector to the connector on the back of the dryer. Turn the cold water faucet back on and make sure nothing is leaking. If not, then plug the electrical cords back in. Then test to make sure it works. I highly recommend watching a video on how to do this if you're unsure.

What is the best cycle for gym towels that get heavy sweat and musty smells. Rather new towels , should i use antimicrobial or sanitizer wash cycle? I have the same W&D.

@@MattyDemello Oh, maybe that's why it didn't work for me. I noticed a few drops of water at the bottom of the drum, but it seemed like there was no real steam effect. As you mentioned, I tried to use a thin needle to unclog the nozzle at the back of the drum, and water began to trickle out. And a very small trickle continued, so I'm running the steam function again now. Do you also experience dripping water, or water at the base of the drum? My expectation would've been steam, not water.
