If it's possible do a part two where Sam has been at the colony for a while and verity shows up and they say hi as old friends then the rest of the gang from this one show up and start a fight and Sam and verity have to make a choice of run for it and survive or stay and help the colony and risk their lives(just a thought) if you can do that it would be awesome

Unfortunately I won't ever be able to make the sequel, as I shot this during an internship while I was in Hawaii with these actors / actresses. If you want I can send you the script and you can read it! It's about 6 pages long.
at Barnaby - there is a way to wash cloths with out electricity and a washing machine. I seen a way to wash cloths this way when i was in County Jail. Also there was alot of green plants in this so there is some water source perhaps lots of rain. Just take a small children's swimming pool and let it fill up with rain water then put your cloths in it and manually scrub them out by hand. its not too " Movie Immersion breaking " to see clean cloths in the post apocalyptic. in early Apocalypse say the first 5 years like this is set, you might get alot of clean cloths still but if its 50 or more years after the nuclear war you see less and less clean cloths and more and more dirty cloths.
Awesome short film but there are a few issues 1. The audio is a bit cut off and muffled at times, making it very distracting. Although everything was still understandable, it takes away from the plot a little bit 2. The actors don't look like they've been out alone for a very long time. Not enough wear on them, their gear, their clothes, etc. It as well takes away from the plot of her being in a post-apoctalyptic world for the last 4 years 3. Although the plot was very good, some parts were too weak. It would pull more into the story if you had strengthened them I'm assuming this was a budget film, which I (and my friends) are starting to attempt to do. Altogether I really liked how this played out and liked it, just a few tips for the future. Also, you did a great job of color grading/color correcting and getting a variety of shots. Keep it up!

Some parts in this make me cringe on the inside- I promise I'm my worst critic. I know I can do so much better now. Like you said, my strengths were more in visuals, pacing, and color grading. And I needed to improve in sound, writing, and direction. But hey, that's what filmmaking is! Trial and error, learning and persevering. Keep making films no matter how back they suck! Hopefully I can get another short film out this year or the next of much higher quality :)
Just a bit of encouragement: If you don't cringe at your old work, that means you haven't progressed at all and are still settling on just okay, not the best. Keep it up! ;D

This would've been a good full length movie to watch. Movies about Apocalyptic tend to draw my attention, as it gets into the middle of the film it becomes interesting.
Sam is too weak for post-apocalyptic survival. The noise she made when she came upon the camp. Please make a post-apocalyptic short film where rhe female protagonist actually kick butt and doesn't whine and cry. The leader would never survive with that attitude towards members of the group. Still. Love the background music and costumes. 👏👏👏👏👍
Good job, there are some tweaks I would make to the costume and acting but overall it was a fun film. I really like the moments where we stay on the main character's face when she is not speaking, her thoughts come across without dialogue which I really enjoyed. What camera did you shoot on?

Camera work A++, OUT UFCKING STANDING !!!! Acting was pretty darn good as well, but as others have mentioned, i'd strive for better audio quality next time. Great work !!!!!
This was an enjoyable short amateur film. I thought the acting was mediocre and the costume designs were “ok.” I liked it nonetheless and hope to see more from you!

Depending on the nature of the apocalypse, clothes could be found in abandoned homes and stores, etc., with no survivors in a particular area. Also, you CAN wash clothes without electricity. It is crude and rough, but it can be done. Finally, survivalists are currently PLANNING NOW for this type of scenario. So, with a little imagination, this is not an unfeasible situation, even in real life. Alas, though, this is not real life. It is entertainment, which always requires a bit of imagination.
Enjoyed the short. Is shows how different people react in a given stiuation. One chose to be cruel the other showed violence is not the answer to the problems created by a cataclysm. Which would side would you choose?? Thanks.. :)

If she really had survived that long, which I doubt such a useless wimp could, then she would not have hesitated to sink the knife into the gang leader. Well filmed, but get a decent writer.
Bill Fox appreciate the comment ! I wrote and directed this film over 2 years ago... It was only the 3rd short film I wrote, and it was while I was in film school. And I agree it has its flaws, especially in some of the writing. But the point of the story is this seemingly confident girl whose made it a few years surviving the apocalypse on her own, all the while not ever 'confronting' another person. So once she confronts this gang, you the viewer sees how unprepared she was for this gang confrontation. You could say that her weakness and lack of experience was exposed, proving herself a coward. I actually wrote a sequel where her character developed and she was stronger because of this experience, but I never had the chance to shoot it.
First of all, Tim, I like this video. However, my comment is to critique for improvements. An apocalyptic future, it’s been done. This story has a good vibe, yet let me make some pointers.... with the narration of the main character...... “since the world ended,” (several years ago), shouldn’t things be dirty as hell?...in the scene where the girl meets up with the “warrior chicks”, I’m thinking their clothes should be a mess, as rancid as hell? Just saying....
Next time ,have her off the mouthy gang leader first, then you have realistic skills. Anyway just my input ,very good ,keep up the creative flow ,and passion .Thanks ,Advanced Knowledge ,San Diego
All actors in all of these films have been in salons in the past month maximum. Have makeup artists putting couple spots of fake dirt to make it look like they are survivors

shot beautifully, great angles to keep it interesting and the lighting was clear, the only problem the audio was extremely inconsistent.

This is one of the better written apocalyptic shorts that I've seen oh, not that it doesn't have issues, but most are understandable.
