Very well made. Civilization is a razor's edge: even with the smallest of deviations we will easily fall.
Just seeing this the first time on Jan 1st 2024. As other commenters have said the camera work and cinemaphotography are fantastic. Shooting on location and using the environment for world building purposes are also excellent. Definitely get the feeling of isolation in the ruins. Although the best part was from the actress and good directing showing the last remains of humanity and still having to fight for survival. Very much enjoyed this.
This is an amazing short film. The actors and the locations were very convincing and the directing and editing was very very good! I LOVED IT!

The shot where gas mask #1 kicks open the last stall then the guy runs out of the shower behind them was amazing!
+Osthato Bulpus, I'm glad you like that scene, I think the bathroom sequence is one of my favorites. Funny story, I wrote the entire bathroom and hallway sequence in about two minutes on set. We got our location and found that bathroom so I wrote a couple scenes to include it. The chase scene was really well done, an absolute joy to watch.

The filming of this was superb. The chase sequence through windows are the best I've seen, yes that includes mainstream-media (yuck). The timing of the edits on those scenes filmed through windows during the chase, is perfect.
I did not like the story, however the filming made me wish I had the ability to film my stories on TH-cam, Apophis and others, instead of just audiobooks or speed-reading "stovies".
That filming technique of the chase scenes among the ruins! Wow, I watched that part again just to admire the timing of the edits.
It's 2023 and this is still AMAZING work, Great acting....Peace

This shit is dope. I love the usage of handheld, which is something I rarely say. But the way it's used here makes you feel more like a spectator in this world than an audience member. The lack of dialogue also nails home how far from civilization these people have become. You're a very talented filmmaker and I can't wait to see what else you have in store.

I must say, I am quite impressed. It's not often that I am found of indie short films. Great cinematography. I think the shakiness was a bit too overdone. Some panning dolly movements here and there would have really pulled the scenery together a bit more. All in all, great work. Anxious to see more!
Thank you, i agree with you that parts of the film are a little too shaky, we chose to handheld everything (originally we were going to rent a Ronin steadycam) for the shaky effect so that it felt more real (in my opinion). We have a sequel planned to film in a year. Subscribe to my page because I will have 3 new films out in the next year!
