The Samsung G6 OLED is a good option, but I still want this glossy panel from ROG XG27AQDMG. And yes, that brightness difference is also something to consider.

Yes, I'm still using this and for the majority of the day, I use it for work without any issues. I'm already used to the text clarity and it doesn't bother me anymore

I have been waiting for months for the Asus OLEDs to come down, I have followed up on the PG27AQDM model.
The model in the review is at a better price, does anyone know why the PG27AQDM model is more expensive.

I think it's because the PG27AQDM is under the "swift" lineup which is usually more expensive than the "strix" lineup. The PG27AQDM also has some extra features like under the stand and support base illumination. But personally, I'll still get this one because of the Glossy panel.

Since mine is an early review sample, I got it directly from ROG Philippines, they said wait for the Official release on ROG website.

Updating a monitor's firmware differs from brand to brand. Does this one update through the USB upstream cable or by plugging a USB thumb drive into one of the USB ports on the monitor? Just wondering and thanks for the honest review.
This one is via the upstream USB cable. I got the file directly from ROG but they said it should be available on the website soon. The changelog is essentially to improve the display’s color accuracy which it did quite significantly

Do you find the 27inch Screen to be too big for games like Valorant? I am interested in this but i am used to 24inch monitors.
Not really, i've been using 27" since the release of Valorant but in my opinion, 27" should be the max for competitive FPS. I've used 34" ultrawide before and while it's workable, it's less than ideal because of the black borders. I've also used a 42" LG C2 OLED for valorant but that is obviously too much. haha

Lmao what’s the point? PS5 or XSX can’t run native 4K 120fps without some upscaling or checkaboarding. At most they run 1440p up to 120hz which is the hdmi 2.0 this monitor has. Stop crying

Everyone replying don’t even know that you need full HDMI 2.1 bandwidth to use 1440p, 240 Hz and 10 bit color depth without DSC. Then you can use DSR/DLDSR for example. There’s other things too so I’m not sure why people are replying with console fanboys.
