We are back with a (new mic 😂) and 5 new alternative Brompton Bags! This video gives an overview of 5 Brompton Bags not made by Brompton. Our first experience of a non-Brompton made Brompton Bag and it was way beyond our expectations! Here is an overview of the Pioneer Series by Wotancraft for Brompton and why we will be using these instead our our Brompton T-Bag in the future!

Nice bags. I have mounted a milk crate to the front with an aftermarket block and some aluminum mounting plates. This is a work in progress as I will be adding a lid so it can be un-mounted and used as a chair.

Totally agree. Personally I think thats the best thing about them as well. Plus the look of them which I think is more in keeping with the style of the Brompton overall compared to the T-Bag. 👍
It's great to see the video and audio quality has improved a lot. Also the editing and overall vibe is great. With regarda to the bags, they look nice and well made. I might check them out if and when I need new Brompton-compatible bags.

Definitely look better on the Brompton than the Brompton bags I think 👍
I would prefer the basket bag as it is both open during shopping and can easily be closed during cycling, so items don’t fall out. I’m new to the idea of Wotoncraft, so thanks for showing this.

Expensive though especially as the bag frame is an extra cost. I like the colour.
Think when I worked it out with the cost was a bit less than the Brompton bags, although like you said Kimberley, the frame is an extra. But I suppose if you have the frame already it could save a bit of money? Looking online, I know the exchange rate fluctuates, but for the Large bag and frame as an extra it would cost £130.04 compared to a similar size Brompton bag at £135 so a little bit less. If you already had the frame it would be a bit less.
Think if I had to do it again I would have brought these instead of the Brompton T-Bag just because I can change it around more. Yeah the colours are nice which I really like about them as well. 😀

Don't be concerned about putting shopping in a "T bag". Take comfort in a clear conscious.
Really good bag ideas, the Basket roll top addition is my favourite.
Added a mesh top to mine B Basket, and side popper tabs to keep it closed when empty. Now will add a roll top, greater capacity and weather protection.

Definitely agree that I have no concerns carrying shopping in the t-bag from shops. The only thing that concerns me about the t-bag when shopping is putting the shopping in before I paid for it. So using it as a shopping basket when shopping. I prefer the basket bag for putting shopping in when going around the shop as it is easier to put things in and take them out to pay as well. Plus like you said, with the cover built in to this one it is great for any weather. Not sure if the Brompton basket bag has that feature?
I find it mad how wonton Croft manage to get a modern fabric like cordura look nice and classy like waxed cotton with a nice patina
Really like all of the bags from them that I have tried. Wish I had known about them before, as think in terms of style and look they are better than the Brompton ones. Not used my metro bag since I had these 👍

Great video. Do you know if I can use the basket bag with existing brompton bag frame I already own. Meaning can I simply swipe out the bags without having to purchase a new frame? Thanks.
The frames will swap out. Just need to make sure it’s the same dimensions though but the measurements are on the Wotancraft website. They are the same size frames though 👍
Love the large expandable bag... where from I can get the bag? I am in Europe... when I click the link on your video it directed me to taiwan site and USD prices....
for the expandable bag do you think its good to use a commuting bag to fit spare clothes, spare tube? is the expandable bag in your review the 12L bag?
Not sure the size but it would definitely be good for some clothes and a tube. I currently have a first aid kit, toolkit, tube, foldable rucksack and keep my lights in it when I fold the Brompton up so quite big. It is shower proof, so might be worth putting any clothes in a bag but think it would work all right.
great walkthrough and demo! is there a way to fit the stem bag while using a brompton quadlock on the M/H handlbars?
Thanks. I think the straps would fit either side of the quad lock as they are adjustable so think it would work, although I don’t have the quad lock so couldn’t say for definite unfortunately

@@mdkhoi28 I hadn't considered that but thats a great idea! I have just had a look and if you have a light with a clip on it you can slide it through the military style strap, so yes you can do that and think I will do it on mine so thanks for the idea! 👍

Thanks and glad you enjoyed it! Just got a new camera, which is the DJI Osmo Pocket which has been great for this video. Much easier than the last set up I had and much more stable when on the bike. Plus it is now 4k which makes a big difference as well! 👍

@@TM-vg4mx This DJI wouldn't be good for that then as it is not waterproof. However I think I might be getting an Insta 360 delivered sometime next week and plan to do a behind the scenes video on it which might be interesting for you? Think the insta 360 would be good as waterproof and lots of mounting options as well.

Hi for the Pioneer bag may i ask did you get M or the L version of it?
I think mine is the medium version, which is big enough for my laptop and things for work. Don’t use any other bag on a daily basis. Worth checking the size though to make sure it is big enough to fit everything in for you 👍😀
Are you from the UK? The bags are all in usd etc so is there a uk store to purchase them from?
Hi, yes I am in the UK but I don’t think there is a store you can buy from here. You order them and they deliver to the UK. You would need to take the exchange rate into account though 👍

Hi Nora. Thanks for asking! I am literally uploading a new video tomorrow. Haven't uploaded anything for a while due to waiting on the Brompton getting fixed! Only just got it back since the last video due to waiting for spares from Brompton. ☹
these days even though the bags are nice they are expensive. Not as a rip from Brompton but still too high for most people IMHO.
I think if you are only buying one bag to use everyday, and use the Brompton regularly then it is worth the money, as sometimes cheaper ones break and rip easily, so end up buying another one which costs the same as buying a more expensive one to start with. Definatley find these Wotancraft ones very good. Use it everyday to work all year round and not had any problems. But if you don't use the Brompton daily, or only occasionally, it is probably not investing in a more expensive bag, as a cheaper alternative will last due to not being used as much 👍

Sorry bit no normal person can aford a wotancraft bag, not even the basket bag because it is already 129$ +89$ for the frame
Last time I checked it worked out to be the same if not cheaper than an official Brompton bag, although I know the exchange rates have changed recently 👍
Why don't you mention prices of things you review. You spend so much energy making videos but you do not tell us the important thing is the price of these bags
One of the main reasons Ray is that the price changes of products all of the time. What I always do instead is add the links in the description so it is really easy for everyone to check out the cost by clicking the link. That way you always have the up to date cost, as someone may watch this video one year from now and the cost will probably be significantly different 👍
@@CycleEveryday i know the prices change but if you give a price down then we get an idea of the price then i can decide to go on the website link or not. If the prices changes that is not your responsibility. You are only informing of the current prices at the time of this video. If you reviewing products then you must mention prices otherwise your review will be incomplete. I only click on product description if the prices are within my budget
