There's another version called Drift away live. The version used to labeled as the Stones with John Lennon. Could it be that John's on backing vocals and guitar?
Yeah what a shame, I read somewhere why they didn't keep it but I can't find the article. I think they chose not to put it on the album because someone else had just released it before. Still the best version of that song IMO.
