Agreed, I've always found Kiedis a mix of boring and annoying. Often love what Flea does and Frusciante had some cool stuff as a guitar player (I mean in BSSM era), but Kiedis' style just always bored me. And after BSSM they kinda just devolved into mediocre songwriters whereas before they had a cool funk kinda sound. Now they do that same Scar Tissue type song over and over again. They got rich and they got lazy and their writing got too flaccid for any sock to hide.

I love John Frusciant, his a pretty soulful guitar player that can create a lot of beautiful textures with his gear, but if I have to pick a side on this, I'm 100% with Patton here.
Anthony kiedis has the flattest voice in all of music history, he has no vibrato & no vocal control! Patton has a full, clean voice & has a crazy big octave range. Patton has excellent vibrato & great control & his voice just sounds more appealing all around!
