    "I had something inside of me that wanted to get important things done"

    • @Wildeheart79
      @Wildeheart79 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I'm in his same boat. I definitely have been conditioned to abuse alcohol. I'm a musician. I have played many shows and it is just a part of the game. When you are about to go out for a crowd and you get that anxiety the booze or weed helps you calm down and not think about it. It also makes you sloppy if you overdue it. Also labeling people is a terrible thing because once enough people tell you are this and that you start to believe it. I'm hibernating right now tapering off the booze and it is horrible. I'm tossing cookies almost everyday haven't eaten anything in weeks and am so depressed.
      For me it's not an addiction. I have always been so against alcohol and drugs. I just got into the wrong crowd for me. Some really good and others really bad. I never wanted any of this but if anyone is down and bad I know it's not fun but if you can afford rehab GO! Right now. Make a call. If you can't afford that go to AA or NA. You will meet friends and get a sponsor. Someone who has been off whatever substance for so long and has wisdom. You will get to go to events and not just isolate in your house until you pass away.
      That's where I'm at right now and I need to take my own advice. It's especially hard if you have a toxic home situation but that's something that any kind of treatment will help out with.
      Never be ashamed. Now is the perfect time to change. Everyone is so supportive of mental health and addiction you never know who will be willing to help you out and you also never know how long the "normal" people will be willing to help.
      But it's now or never imo. And people love to see you get better. Even your enemies. Unless they are a crazy person you'd be surprised how fixing your life will bring people back into your life. And I know I need to. I have too much wisdom that will be lost if I don't get it all together.
      Gotta think of the future generations. I don't want anyone to feel as lost as I have felt.

      I would disagree. I think he had it. It shows as he started taking drugs since age 11 and had issues with it all the way till age 30. He had managed to find a way to escape it though. Lots of people have been in the same boat, have suffered with addiction but manage to conquer it. If he were to ever get hooked again it could be the end of him. Im certain he has that "addictive gene'.

    This is a great observation! When we addicts are active users, our lives become like the movie Groundhog Day. The same thing over and over, day in and day out. The next thing we know, years have gone by and we haven’t grown at all because we’ve been walking through life anesthetized to the experiences that would help us grow mentally and spiritually.
    So glad I was finally able to put that shit away! 16 years off alcohol and 4 years off methamphetamine. Life is SO much better this way! ❤

They were our selfish little secret because we had them to ourselves in the smaller clubs. Then the rest of the world caught the sparks and fame, with all the blessings and curses. Flea has always been the most centered and it’s wonderful to see how Flea and Anthony matured and blossomed so spiritually these last few decades. Thank you Flea. I have come to the realization you say here, but a bit different... Like, if I give up cigarettes... I love them because they asphyxiate and suffocate me where I feel like dying which makes me feel alive, in a screwed up way... But I'm scared of giving them up because I'll want to breathe in and rise up every experience I have with other people, and I don't want to freak them out. But maybe I should! Like, when I read a book, I don't need to smoke. I get my feeling of the cusp between living and dying from the book I'm reading, without having to feel alive by asphyxiating myself with a cigarette. Or leaking my present into my past or future with alcohol... I've explained a lot here, and maybe you'll say I know all I should and just go do what I know, but it helps in a massive way to have someone like you to say they went through the whole shit and more. Love you man. So much love. I just worry that I'll become too hardcore for others if I curtail smoking and drinking. I will! But you are a beautiful inspiration. Thank you Flea bro.

    Good advice from another human who has experienced many lows and highs in his life....and he's right really that it is in the many amazing small moments of life that matter the most.

    Awesome dude. I get it. I get all of this. It is hard but he gets it. And the talk of ago gracefully is something I aspire to do. And loving yourself without being selfish. Amazing brother to the world right here. I pray as well. I have no regret in doing that nor do I judge but this was a perfect answer. ❤🤘🏼

    I'm always baffled about how articulate he is. Not just because he looks pretty used up, but in general.
    All about him tells me that he has lived through quite a lot and really knows what he's talking about..

      A health worker told me my brain chemical levels probably need a boost and using other things Would of been a way to cope with that amongst other things.
