The best part of this season was the psychological impact zoom had on Barry. He was so confident in his speed in the beginning but throughout the entire season he was absolutely devastated by their first fight and was absolutely TERRIFIED of zoom

ermac was here his story was much better written than Thawne’s. And don’t forget the badass suit, voice, lightning, and eyes which all make him look more like a monster than anything else, which they even acknowledged on the show.
The theory is that as a remnant he was loosing speed as he was ceasing to exist, like how Barry was loosing his memories the more he used his speed in flash point. Or it could just be the writing wanting her to fire that shot. There was a mini interview trailer thing, I can’t remember if it was before or after the episode, probably after since it kinda spoiled the scene. Iris actor said along the lines of inspiring or to inspire. About her usually being the damsel and the moment was that Barry was damsel, something like that.
I liked the way they ended it honestly. He turned into a mindless, monstrous demon speedster known as 'black flash'. It would've been cooler if he never unmasked and was never fully defeated, but still ended by him being taken by the speedforce.
If you look at all of the scenes in Zoom's eyes it is just white and it makes Zoom more and more intimidating and scarier, I just wish they kept him up for other seasons.
The fight scenes in this season were actually really well done and they showed Zoom's strength and power as a Speedster really well. Same with Savitar's seeming invisibility to others due to his connection with the Speed Force.
Zoom humiliated him, killed his father, compared flashes mothers death to his, broke flashes back, tricked him even when he was suspicious at the beginning of season 2, stole his speed, killed more people, created a meta army to destroy earth-1, almost succeeded in destroying the multiverse quicker than the moniter, and didn’t even teach Barry something that could be used against himself as fake Jay like RF did. Reverse flash just gives Barry the pleasure of killing him over and over and losing to Barry over and over again.

I absolutely loved the lightning streaks when they were fighting in Star Labs, similar to the Reverse Flash in the first season. By comparison, however, Savitar was a bitter disappointment. He didn't leave a single streak, he just teleported from place to place
Zoom was so cool. Something I wish they’d done is what they did in ghost rider 2 where they made Zarathos sort of glitch around. I think it would have fit Zoom really well and make him seem like even more of a demon than he already was.

I still can’t get over the fact that they added that almost spine shattering effect when Zoom knocked Barry to the floor in their first fight. If you remember you remember. It was so unnecessary and fake but damn it was still badass somehow. I mean just the fact that they added that goes to show how Zoom beat Barry into a bloody pulp harder than Reverse Flash and that’s kinda saying something.
Like Zoom was literally Reverse Flash if he didn’t hold back and if he didn’t need to create The Flash to get back home. And unfortunately we never got to see Thawne when he wasn’t holding back because every time he “didn’t hold back” the show already went down hill and honestly Thawne never did anything compared to Zoom. (Though Thawne did indeed still have his own iconic moments) It’s just that by the time Thawne was actually a “threat” Barry was already catching up to his level fast like with the fight in season 4 during crisis on earth x because they were mostly just trading blows and it’s not like Thawne destroyed Barry like how we used to saw him literally get dragged lol.
Zoom, as well as Prometheus from Arrow are my favorite CW villains. Both of them were just evil incarnate. The seasons of both shows were the best when they were the main antagonists IMO

I love that the marry Christmas in episode 9 was like the least non threatening thing zoloman has done but overall he is literally my favorite villain every in anything
Zoom is my fav villian purely because his mask is so unique it has this...well demon-y look and the lightning just going off his body is amazing, and that he actually knew what he was doing.... lookin at you rival....lookin at youuu.
Watching the first zoom fight makes me sad as this was the peak of the Flash as a TV Show. The 1st 3 seasons were great and then it went on an exponential decline
His costume doesn’t have any color, his lightning was blue which shows how cold and evil he really is, the guy really is just cool in one word

I love how the lightning is still on zoom even when he isn’t using his speed, showing he truly is beyond beating
back when the show actually had direction and good writing
I still can’t get over the fact that they added that almost spine shattering effect when Zoom knocked Barry to the floor in their first fight. If you remember you remember. It was so unnecessary and fake but damn it was still badass somehow. I mean just the fact that they added that goes to show how Zoom beat Barry into a bloody pulp harder than Reverse Flash and that’s kinda saying something.
Like Zoom was literally Reverse Flash if he didn’t hold back and if he didn’t need to create The Flash to get back home.
And unfortunately we never got to see Thawne when he wasn’t holding back because every time he “didn’t hold back” the show already went down hill and honestly Thawne never did anything compared to Zoom. (Though Thawne did indeed still have his own iconic moments)
It’s just that by the time Thawne was actually a “threat” Barry was already catching up to his level fast like with the fight in season 4 during crisis on earth x because they were mostly just trading blows and it’s not like Thawne destroyed Barry like how we used to saw him literally get dragged lol.

Zoom, as well as Prometheus from Arrow are my favorite CW villains. Both of them were just evil incarnate. The seasons of both shows were the best when they were the main antagonists IMO
