    dude, I was thinking about checking my valves on my crf450x yesterday,.... I went to bed last night and had a dream that you randomly showed up at my house and checked my valves and somehow you done it in like 5 minutes and then we randomly bought some beer and got super drunk lmao.

    Spot on my friend..some vloggers here on TH-cam are using Automotive Diesel specific engine oils in both engine and gearbox on the CRF 450 which is not even proper bike oil probably to save a few dollars...But when something blows from wrong oil use,im sure they will spend hundreds more to fix..oil is cheap..engines and gearboxes are not.

    Nice video! I always wish that you guys shared torque values in these. I'm doing my first oil change soon, and appreciate the info. Cheers!

    This video is better than the other ones I watched. Isn’t there two drain plugs close to each other ???

    I always learn something new when watching your vids. I agree torques are great, but i've lots of ppl over torque with the wrench, so be careful with that.

    1 Question 1 comment - is it possible to ruin an engine by overfilling with oil? Also I noticed you didn't mention to run the bike to heat up the oil to let it drain easier :)

  • @briansmobile1

    I really like V-force reeds and an FMF pipe for that bike.

    YES, Be sure to tighten the drain plug or your are going to have 'Broken Motor'!!
    I guess he finally saw all the oil dripping out near the end of the video.... LOL

  • @spelunkerd
    @spelunkerd 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes, for sure. When oil level is too high it creates froth, froth that rises up to areas that should be dry (like the PCV valve). Also, with froth comes bubbles of air that are very compressible. When the frothy oil goes through a pump the compressible air interferes with the pump's ability to move fluid and so the pump is inefficient, not delivering as much volume as it otherwise would. So if you overfill, remove oil and try again.

    i personally run rotella T 15w40 in my crf450r in both sides and never run it for more than 10 hours. i wouldnt let it get as dirty as you did its a performance motor and oils relatively cheap

    is it ok/safe/smart to run HP4S in both sides of my 02' honda crf450r, or what would you recommend for my transmission side.. guy at Honda told me I was good to use but I feel like they want your engine to break (more breakdowns equals more parts)

    • @SlammedBeretta
      @SlammedBeretta 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes its fine to run it in both tranny and engine side! For your tranny side i'd run belray gearsaver thumper or pro honda transmission oil

    As long a the oil is not 'energy conserving' you can use it with a wet clutch. Motorcycle specific oil is a big waste of money.

    +briansmobile1, love the video and apprecaite the time people like you take to make videos, jus have a quick question, What does it mean when my oil comes out really really milky looking. and also that hose u were talking about spits fluid out the pcv vavle is that hose usually plugged at the bottom

    • @briansmobile1
      @briansmobile1  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +D-Block Milky is an indicator that water or coolant is getting into the engine. This could be rain, river crossing too deep or a head gasket or power washer. Some breather hoses have a small filter on the end.

    • @fmfjake8940
      @fmfjake8940 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      milky coolant is what he said or in some cases a bad water pump seal and oil seal on the back side of the water pump seal. super easy fix
