  • If you saw part 1, now it's time to put theory to the test! In this Virtual Sportfish Show video we follow Paul Procter as he stalks his prey - wild brown trout.
Armed with his Mackenzie NX1 fly rod and a lifetime of experience, Paul pits himself against the wily Salmo trutta. How will he get on?

I hear the saying ‘best fisherman’ all the time, Is there really such thing? Wht makes a good angler? If someone catches 2/3/4/5 more fish than u on a lake or river are they a better fisherman ? Seems to be all about numbers now for people , think knowledge Is the key ? Match the hatch and know one can really go wrong I suppose ? Hard to know isn’t it

Good video I've caught plenty of wild trout now but it took from 10 to 20 years frustrating but in 2019 I hooked a big wild brown on a butcher fly .

I don’t think that’s a wild fish, couldn’t see any red spots and also it’s lacking white line on anal fin

Think he said it was the Eden… Carlisle angling association - The River Eden is one finest angling rivers in the country and was once famed ... We do not stock so the majority of these fish will be wild native stock ...

Thats a wild fish all day long. Caught plenty on the Eden that looks identical..

Red spots and white lines don’t mean wild or stocked, it’s simply down to genetics, you can have two fish in the same river both wild and they can look completely different.
