Fun fact: Neptuna is a girl ( in Lagoona diary she refers Neptuna as she ) also I love that she has brown eyes! As someone who has dark brown eyes I love that me and favorite character has same color eyes 💙🫧✨
A lot of fish have darker drown eyes so that’s cool !

I was put off by how different she looked when they first released stuff for g3 but she’s really grown on me. My favorite change is probably the kinda transparent cloudy leg ombré and my least fav change is no webbed fingers. I agree fangs/pointed teeth would be cool
When I saw her at first I absolutely hated it and thought it was stupid they had no reason unlike Frankie who did. But after I saw the doll she’s going to be my first one I’ll get
She is growing on me. Her designs is kinda nice in doll form ,better than the live action. Still I kinda wish her hands were also transaprent like her legs tho still better than live action Lagoona.
Neptuna to me looked like a cat and fish hybrid from the front tbh 🤣

They NEED to hire darkodark for the artwork! He does great artwork and he makes sure the artwork matches the doll.
I also wish they kept the webbed hands. Also wish they added the fangs too. Y’know, just to make her look less human.
My only problem with this doll is mainly the color palette, why is it so saturated and pastel at the same time? for me it's overwhelming, however it's a pretty well done design

I think the main overall weird thing about her is how off her artwork clothes are versus the doll. Did they not communicate? Did it change later but they decided not to update the art?
I also find it cute how they still referenced the seahorse necklace on her new shirt/hoodie :)
I feel like if someone gave me the new lagoona I wouldnt really know who it was if I hadnt seen her before. Shes pretty but Im just so used to g1 :)

I don’t really mind this Lagoona design, but I don’t think I’ll be getting any of her dolls. It makes me a bit sad that they made her completely unrecognizable as Lagoona Blue because she was my favorite as a kid. The other ghouls didn’t get this dramatic of an overhaul. Idk maybe I wouldn’t mind if she was at least still blue.
I absolutely agree. I loved the original Lagoona from the accent to her appearance. Super chill surfer ghoul. But now we have… whatever this is.
Omg I love her lagoona was my favorite from gen 1 and while this one isn’t as good I still think shes adorable my favorite from this gen is Draculaura because i think her face looks the most like gen 1 and I love her hair can’t wait to get my hands on these dolls ☺️
after seeing th doll shes 100% become my fav . shes SO cute. maybe im biased because latina, but also shes got a lot of fun stuff goin on and shed fit in with the G1 really well!

I really like this Lagoona! Similar to you, she actually might turn out to be my favorite from the basics, however a lot of the others are great seconds, such as toralei. I do agree that I wish they kept the webbed fingers, but I think a great reason why I like her is her transparent legs.. they're just SO COOL! If they bring spectra back, I hope they keep that for her too, along with her arms. For the face, I agree that the fangs would have been a GREAT edition, but they probably thought "we already have two characters with fangs".. who knows. 🤷 And I feel like the scales on her forehead are gonna be a thing to check when getting the doll, cuz with the design being intricate it might be hard to find one with perfect scales. I can't wait until these dolls are out on the shelves. (and let's hope they actually are cuz I haven't seen a single monster high creeproduction to this day) I don't really have much questions, just like maybe a comparison of all the gens bodies (or just 1 and 3 idrc), maybe a bunch of outfits swaps if you want to see what some of your fave dolls look like switched, and maybe compare her and stand her by with G3 cleo?? idk do whatever you want queen I'll watch the vid either way lol. 😅 Thx for another great video, and for showing us this doll, even if it meant you spent a lot of money on her, but hey, you get to enjoy her early! 😅😁🤗
I think the fins on her legs look much better this time around. They don't seem to be as easy to fall off as the og Lagoona tbh
To me the new lagoona makes me think if neptuna was a human like lagoona. So when I get her I'm naming her neptuna BCUZ I love the idea
It's so stupid, but it makes me SOO happy that G3 fins are facing the proper direction. Also, I really love the new shape of the leg fins
G3 is pretty, especially for someone like me who wishes Madison Fear isn't a OOAK doll. But G1's bulging eyes & pouty mouth is just too cute! 😆

I do love the Mattel kept the DC super hero girls mold file and just slightly size them to monster high size because the type of a articulation and sort of shape is the exact same

I think they didn’t do webbed hands because the new dolls come with a lot of accessories with a little ring to hold them so it would have been difficult to hold the accessories if she had webbed hands

When I get Lagoona I am removing the scales on her forehead I find them fugly

I absolutely love the box art and I will probably end up taking an airbrush to her so the ear fins are blue and the back of the leg joints aren't clear. I will most definitely redo the forehead scales...

I love/hate her. Love the outfit idea, reminds of old school orca barbie. I like how they tried to update her paint job but they should have stuck to the lagoona BLUE color scheme. 😐 The cool tone pink makes everything look cheap.

She's cute. Looks nothing like the old one, thank goodness. I was never super into the old Lagoona dolls. Her designs were always kind of meh, like every doll looked too similar except for 13 Wishes, so I welcome the changes.
i hope i manage to get her for a decent price. i'm actually planning to buy her off of ebay, because i'm not living in the us nor in canada and i'm not even sure if i'm able to get any g3 dolls in stores in my country.

My unpopularity option: my favorite out of all the characters is Abby. She’s not popular as much as the other characters but i like her. My favorite thing about her is the way she talked, i LOVED her accent it sounded Russian to me. And her abilities were awesome!💙❄️
I hated that she didn’t get the spotlight as much as the other characters. Hoping to see Abby again as a re-boot. Hopefully the company didn’t change her, i LOVED her original outfit and the way she looked.
I don’t have Abby. But I would always see her in thrift stores which I was excited to see and wanted to buy her, but unfortunately every time I saw her she was always missing parts of her…an arm, a hand..half her leg..or her hair would be completely shaved off or there would be permanent marker all over her. Ugh! 🙄
But anyway, These new dolls are ok…not a huge fan, mainly because the company is making them look more human then monster and that’s what I liked BEFORE everything was changed. But we’ll see once more dolls come out I might purchase one. 🤔
Buy a few of Abbys with different missing parts and connect them all into a one doll 😉 that's how i got my Wydowna for cheap👀
I love g1 better, since with the g3 um sorry. I do love the new outfit for Lagoona blue but her new design and color she does not look like a fresh water monster but more like a mermaid.
I could save those new Lagoona Blues outfit for my miniself to try on for size and while the mermaid like Lagoona G3 can be a customize mermaid doll with a whole new makeover. What do you think she could be for my future doll project's? A customize water lily fairy or a river sprite?

I do have to say the biggest thing I don’t like is the fact the art work doesn’t match the dolls. Similar but far different. Which is almost like false hope. Like they should have finish the doll first before the official artwork so it would actually match.
As an Australian, it is quite sad to see them change her nationality, but she is growing on me a lot. I do wish they made her an Aboriginal Australian instead since there is so little of that culture being represented in America as far as I know.
She looks more like Gigi, but I feel like it would look so much better if it was the original face sculpt, or if not, then atleast the eyes

This line seems terribly unfinished to me, like everything has been rushed and they’ve forgotten a lot of details about the characters and such so like it’s a no from me I just genuinely don’t like how it feels. Cleo and Frankie are probably the only two giving monster high to me.
