I was just about to praise the 13 Wishes game for swapping characters to deal with the water terrain because Frankie canonically can’t swim, but then I burst out laughing seeing Cleo just straight up teleport lmao But it’s probably through the use of an amulet since her family owns 10,000 artefacts, chances are one of them teleports you.
Fun fact: In the DS version of *Thirteen Wishes,* Lagoona can swim, but Frankie, Cleo, Draculaura, Clawdeen, and Abbey can't. I don't really understand why Draculaura/Clawdeen can't, since they're a werewolf and vampire, respectively, but I do get why Cleo and Frankie can't. Abbey too, to some extent, since she has cryokinesis and stuff. Just a fun fact if you didn't know that.

Good long hair physics in games are actually really uncommon. It's alot simpler to give a ponytail or braid decent physics than it is long hair. Mortal Kombat 2011 is a great example: Sonya and Jade have ponytails, and their hair is less stiff than Kitana and Sindel's who have their hair down. In alot of older games especially, the hair was super stiff even if it was down, so I reckon they all had ponytails so they could have some hair physics without having to put in a ton of resources. Just about the only game I can think of with really good hair physics is Alice Madness Returns.

Same! I actually rebooted it just the other day and got bored after about half an hour and decided to come here to get a summary. I was genuinely shocked at how much of the game was just running around this massive school and doing random tasks and the majority of the game is just dialogue😭 Sad that I couldn’t enjoy it now, but man I loved it so much when I was younger, I lost count of how many times me and my friends played it
New Ghoul in School was one of my absolute FAVORITES. I had the game on my 3DS as a kid, and I could not stop replaying it. I remember trying to unlock all the clothing and locker codes, and I don't even like 100% games. But for some reason, I just couldn't put the game down. It felt like I was literally in the movies, and it was just such a great experience overall. Awesome video!!
In Skulltimate Rollermaze that "spin move" that the characters do is an attack for the people behind you so if you're in first place you can do that and knock the person behind you out of second if they're getting too close there's also a back camera you can press to see if your attack landed

As mentioned in some of these comments, G3 has an official game Skulltimate Secrets. It features similar gameplay to New Ghoul in School, but strangely, some of the features from NGIS are absent. Such as being able to swim in water including a swimming pool because the game counts as out of bounds if you enter the water area, less character customizable options as you can’t choose certain monsters, and also while the game does let you do many things around its general I would have to say that its length is shorter than NGIS
Something I just realized is the song you used at 27:40. It's even funnier when you've played P4 and since Whisp is a shadow, it's even more ironic with Howleen being the one we have to save. for the non persona fans to understand: shadows in the persona games are the enemies, and in P4/P5 once you're done with a dungeon/palace you have to fight the shadow version of the ruler/owner and in this case we fight Whisp who is of course a shadow
the ghoul spirit game always made me so mad because i could never cut clawdeens hair right and cleo wins, like i was running around doing everything for everyone and she wins 😭
I wish there were more games made the way New Ghoul in School was made. Like in general, the school felt very immersive, you got to interact with so many of the characters, it had multiple references to episodes, and you got to create the character to your liking. The storyline didn't feel rushed or forced and while the tasks were repetitive, they constantly FELT like they were something new each time. Open world RPGs need to take note
I played Ghoul Spirit and it was unbelievable fun to me as a young teen, hope I can play it again one day because I enjoyed it greatly… god, nostalgia truly has my heart in a tight headlock

I LOVED catacomb adventures, especially the Lagoona one as a kid. The ghoul spirit for Wii thing frustrated me SO much as a kid. I replayed THREE times trying different online recommendations (I got upset so my mom looked up guides to see how to fill the ghoul meter all the way). My parents and I loved the roller skating game tho and played together a lot since it was basically Mario kart with slightly different gimmicks.
I would be so heartbroken and jealous as a kid if Cleo got Scream Queen instead of me, you have no idea 💀 the Wii version was the beginning of many villain arcs I believe...

Honestly the only reason I'd personally get Ghoul Spirit for my DS is because for some unexplained reason I really like Mr. Where (despite him barely ever doing anything in the entire franchise) and I try to find as much content of him as I can find
watching you play the flash games unlocked SO MANY memories- the monster high flash games i could play for HOURSSS and then when i got a DS i would play the monster high games on it, i had them all 100% lol
oh man, i remember playing New Ghoul in School on my dads Laptop! it was so addicting, I played it almost everyday until I finished the story. Later on I wanted to play it on my PC, but it wasn't available on Steam anymore so I had to download it off some sketchy website that got me virus xDD at least now I have a 3DS I can play it on instead haha

My special interest since I was 8 in 2010 has been Monster High and most of the Flash Games were actually based on the plots of the webisodes instead of anything from the 3D animated movies (G1) which might be why they were more random to you, assuming you haven’t seen or known about the Webisodes as much. They’re all still up on Monster High’s youtube channel but they were all uploaded from 2010~2015 in case you were interested. The webisodes also used to have a dedicated page on the old monster high website which is where a lot of kids watched them originally-even though now that I’m older I know it was just thir TH-cam videos embedded onto their website lol

The 13 wishes game was my childhood. Granted I was about 6 I spent all of my time trying to beat it which was for a whole year. I'm so glad that I now know that it wasnt just a fever dream.

dude i might just have bad memory, but i do not remember ghoul spirit having the fashion mini-games at the end of character's stories. it was literally just fetch quests the entire time. i played it on 3ds, so it makes sense that they would cut out mini-games like that. it would've been WAY more fun with them tho, i think it only took me like an hour to beat the game.
I have “new ghoul in school” on my old 3DS, and I love it, I’ve replayed it so many times and there’s a couple secrets you can find to get the collectibles. I’ve finished the story multiple times but I always fail to get all the collectibles, which is what I always try to do. Unfortunately, I think some collectibles are in the vending machines, and after the student council fixes everything, I don’t think you can get them again 😭
I was able to get all of the collectibles in my playthrough, you don't need the vending machines but you do have to unlock all of the lockers! it can be hard to find some of the codes, I ended up using a guide personally!
If there were a monster high game featuring invisibilly and deuce more Id be so happy, I love them both and they arent features much and as a newer fan it sucks when i dont see my favorites in stuff more

I LOVED catacomb adventures, especially the Lagoona one as a kid. The ghoul spirit for Wii thing frustrated me SO much as a kid. I replayed THREE times trying different online recommendations (I got upset so my mom looked up guides to see how to fill the ghoul meter all the way). My parents and I loved the roller skating game tho and played together a lot since it was basically Mario kart with slightly different gimmicks.
I would be so heartbroken and jealous as a kid if Cleo got Scream Queen instead of me, you have no idea 💀 the Wii version was the beginning of many villain arcs I believe...
Woah the Wii versions of the games look so much different than the DS ones. I remember getting 13 wishes on DS when it came out and had to look up DS gameplay after watching this to make sure my memory wasn't fucked
yeah it's so crazy how different some of them are! honestly, I haven't played it but the 13 wishes DS version seems better gameplay wise.

The DS version is honestly the better one. The Wii one is so... lifeless and empty.
I didn't even know about half of these. But it is interesting that they gave Lagoona a new outfit in 13 wishes! It would've made a good doll with a bit more details
Honestly the only reason I'd personally get Ghoul Spirit for my DS is because for some unexplained reason I really like Mr. Where (despite him barely ever doing anything in the entire franchise) and I try to find as much content of him as I can find

oh man, i remember playing New Ghoul in School on my dads Laptop! it was so addicting, I played it almost everyday until I finished the story. Later on I wanted to play it on my PC, but it wasn't available on Steam anymore so I had to download it off some sketchy website that got me virus xDD at least now I have a 3DS I can play it on instead haha

I LOVE YOU WITH MY WHOLE SOUL, when I was a little bit younger, and when my dear grandama was still here, in her tv (modern), she would watch with me videos from youtube of the New Ghoul in School game, while I was doing a littlke dough with smashed soda cookies and water (it was and is still yummy ok?), and actually finally knowing the games name (as a kid I wanted to play it for some reason), now i'll go buy some soda cookies packages and watch the same videos I watched, since it was like a serie, even tho I won't be able to watch it with my grandma, i'll always think she will be with me while watching that.., oh!, same with 13 wishes game but I would play that with my older cousin

My special interest since I was 8 in 2010 has been Monster High and most of the Flash Games were actually based on the plots of the webisodes instead of anything from the 3D animated movies (G1) which might be why they were more random to you, assuming you haven’t seen or known about the Webisodes as much. They’re all still up on Monster High’s youtube channel but they were all uploaded from 2010~2015 in case you were interested. The webisodes also used to have a dedicated page on the old monster high website which is where a lot of kids watched them originally-even though now that I’m older I know it was just thir TH-cam videos embedded onto their website lol
I have been watching the webisodes since playing all the games and it was cool recognizing some of the plots!

The 13 wishes game was my childhood. Granted I was about 6 I spent all of my time trying to beat it which was for a whole year. I'm so glad that I now know that it wasnt just a fever dream.

dude i might just have bad memory, but i do not remember ghoul spirit having the fashion mini-games at the end of character's stories. it was literally just fetch quests the entire time. i played it on 3ds, so it makes sense that they would cut out mini-games like that. it would've been WAY more fun with them tho, i think it only took me like an hour to beat the game.
I have “new ghoul in school” on my old 3DS, and I love it, I’ve replayed it so many times and there’s a couple secrets you can find to get the collectibles. I’ve finished the story multiple times but I always fail to get all the collectibles, which is what I always try to do. Unfortunately, I think some collectibles are in the vending machines, and after the student council fixes everything, I don’t think you can get them again 😭
I was able to get all of the collectibles in my playthrough, you don't need the vending machines but you do have to unlock all of the lockers! it can be hard to find some of the codes, I ended up using a guide personally!
