I'm still amazed to this day no one has ever picked up on the odd casting of Gary Busy playing a Greek. Ha ha. But yeah, he sold me with his love of processed food. "Utah, get me two!!" 🌭🌭✌
Gary Busey is kinda considered a major odd-ball these days, but if you want to see him at his best, you guys should watch him in The Buddy Holly Story. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his portrayal of Buddy Holly.

I too especially love that scene and the above mentioned lines, and also the fun Bodhi is making of Warchilds (in the movie) real name "Lufton Pittman" . However each scene in the movie more or less has some special things when you study and analyze them.
Patrick was my childhood hero, and Keanu is one of my fave guys out there. The two together on their prime beauty, in an awesome action movie jumping planes, alongside the cool cat Gary Busey, in the early 90s. I cant ask for more! Patrick was like Matthew McConaughey. He could dance, fight, do romance, drama, comedy, all of it. He got that good vibe and charm in everything he did, which is the same for Keanu. Perfect duo! RIP ma guy! Gone like the wind, and too soon! RIP Tom Sizemore too.
The 80s and early 90s were the best! Cheesy action movies understood exactly what they were and didn't pretend to be anything more serious. Young Bruce Willis, young Keanu, young Tom Hanks, young Kevin Costner, prime Arnold Swarzenegger, peak Patrick Swayze, prime Meg Ryan, pre-implosion Sharon Stone, pre-insane Tom Cruise, peak John Hughes as a director, James Cameron when he actually made more than one movie every decade. Just an awesome era.
5 years before Point Break, Reeves and Swayze were both in a movie called Youngblood. One of the best hockey movies ever made. The main characters were Rob Lowe and Patrick Swayze. Keanu had a smaller role as a French Canadian goalie
Definitely a great movie. The song "She's Like the Wind" that Swayze co-wrote and was a huge hit in Dirty Dancing was written in 84 and was rejected for Grandview USA and he also submitted it for Youngbloods, but I guess that worked out alright for Dirty Dancing, heh.
Big time facts 💯 It's still one of the all time greats. Keanu gets a lot of negative blowback because people think he acts this way all the time but it couldn't be further from the truth. And both him and Swayze nailed their roles. It's beyond awesome.
I was a kid when this movie came out. Having grown up in Southern California in the LA beach communities, this movie always hits home of how beach life felt back then, the neon colors, the long hair, the “duuude” lingo was all real. It’s also cool to see how life was in the early 90s, before cell phones and internet took over a handful of years later.
Johnny wouldn't have been able to go undercover now. The internet would make it far too easy to find out what happened after his football and law school. Somebody somewhere would have posted about their nephew or whatever joining the FBI.
As an old school surfer back in the 90's in Florida, this movie was playing at almost every surfing beach party i was at. Awesome movie, awesome reaction, and as always Popcorn In Bed is awesome. SURF'S UP !!! 😎
That was funny when you guys said Swayze looked like Hemsworth, it made me wonder if you guys rememberd that Tony Stark's nick name for Thor was Point Break for the same reason.
Patrick Swayze in this was so utterly impressive to me as a kid. Just so damn cool! I wanted to be him so bad. But we were also in a landlocked region, so all I could do was wear the gnarliest surf gear I could find at the mall. Jams shorts. OP shirts. I was fly!😂
Point Break always hits close to home for me. Growing up I surfed those same beaches, and this movie nails those 80s/90s LA beach vibes perfectly. It really was like that at areas like Rincon, County Line, and Leo Carillo/Malibu. Btw, Gary Busey was one of the OG surfer actors in LA just before these times. Check him and Jan-Michael Vincent out in Big Wednesday when you get the chance!
They left the ending to this ambiguous, and after seeing this in the theater i was wishing for a sequel. Such a fun movie, and Swayze and Reeves had incredible on screen chemistry. RIP Patrick.
All those tons of water of the massive wave squeezed Bohdi's body to death by breaking neck, his rib cage, and his spine. Fact: a 10 feet tall wave weighs 410 tons = 840,000 pounds = 168 Ford F-150 pickup trucks (!)
@@jrobertlysaght IMO The Fast & the furious has way more in common with "No Mans Land" with Charlie Sheen - *very* similar story to the first ones, but more serious(and not terrible, like F&F), and focusing on Porsches.
@@hughjorg4008 It's not as simple as that, people have survived falls on massive waves. eg: Niccolo Porcella. Many or most of the worst injuries seem to be when they're slammed into coral underwater. Albeit nobody thought the ending was ambiguous when the movie came out.
One of the greatest movies of all time!!! Imagine being 11 years old and this movie was just coming out in theaters. I was 11 when it came out. Great Times. A lot of good actors in this movie including Anthony from the RHCP. Fun Fact: The beach at the end wasn’t really Australia it was the state of Oregon.
Strangely, the guy that says "its death on a stick out there" is actually an aussie actor but then the cops on the beach are clearly american actors with terrible aussie accents hahaha. Bizarre...
I love this movie too. Mostly I love the action and entertainment in this film. The cast of actors also great in this movie. You don't see enough truly thrilling movies like this anymore.
YES!!! One of my favorite Keanu Reeves movies! I saw this on TV when I was 4-5 years old. RIP, Patrick Swayze, he's surfing with God now. Before Keanu Reeves was cast as Johnny Utah, Tom Cruise, Matthew Broderick, Charlie Sheen, and Johnny Depp were considered for the character. Val Kilmer wad considered for the role of Bohdi before Patrick Swayze was cast. Ridley Scott was considered to direct the film, but dropped out in order to direct THELMA AND LOUISE. Kathryn Bigelow, James Cameron's wife at the time, was hired after producers were impressed by her action movie Blue Steel with Jamie Lee Curtis. There is a remake of the movie that was released in 2015, but it was not well received by Critics or fans of the original.
To add to your trivia: Patrick Swayze learned how to surf and skydive to do his own stunts for this movie because he wanted people to see his face in the stunts.
This is the in my all time top 10. I know it very well and watched it so many times. Amazing movie. Johnny knows Bodhi is not doing it because he's a bad person, so he acknowledged it by letting him go as a sign of respect. It was man against society and Johnny throws the badge away.
Keanu is probably the most humanitarian celebrity to exist. He's such a nice guy. He once met a family at an airport that was stranded because their connecting flight had been cancelled, so he rented a car and drove them home.
This movie was a staple of my childhood! One of my funniest memories (in retrospective) is my older sister awkwardly trying to explain why Keanu's character couldn't shoot Swayze 😂
@@Mike-mj8oj Why? It seems like there are A LOT of people (especially men) doing considerable harm to people (especially children of late) and they all claim to be followers of the religion you follow. Actions speak louder than religious texts. It also speaks volumes when people express a desire for others to join their religion (or suggest life has no purpose or the person’s actions have no value without a specific religion) but delete their comment when challenged with facts. Here’s a hint: you do not need to promote YOUR religion every chance you get. Just live your life & let others live theirs. If they want to find religion, it’s not that hard.
I love this movie, , so glad you watched it. It's a classic and the director Kathryn Bigelow went on to win an Oscar for The Hurt Locker. She's an incredible director who does action and tension very well. Keanu and Patrick are just amazing here.
I watched this movie when I was an employee at a movie theater. I was 16 years old. It made me want to jump out of a plane. I finally did when I was 32. It’s one of my favorite movies!
Not only is this movie tons of fun, it's also great time capsule. This was part an era of Hollywood where many young stars were doing some high octane, action films. Movies like Days of Thunder, Broken Arrow with Christian Slater and John Travolta. The Chase and Terminal Velocity, with Charlie Cheen. Bad Boys with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Give any of these a go...
Fun Fact: Tone, one of the surfers that attacks Johnny when he is rinsing off at the beach shower was played by the front man for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Anthony Kiedis
Strange that you think Patrick and keanu are from different eras. They were actually in another movie together 5 years earlier in 86 called Youngblood. Set and filmed in Canada. It’s a good movie about a young ice hockey player played by Rob Lowe . it would actually be an interesting movie for the two of you to react to seeing as your Canadian and seem to enjoy sports movies. Keanu is barely in it but Patrick has a big enough part.
For another 80’s classic react to “ROMANCING THE STONE” starring Michael Douglas, Danny Devito & Kathleen Turner. Action, Adventure, comedy & Romance in this one!
The boys are great. I love them. But let's shout out the ladies too. Kathyrn Bigelow made a gorgeous, really fun movie. I was always a fan and so happy for her when she later won her Best Director Oscar for The Hurt Locker. And for a few years there, my girl Lori Petty was having the most fun in the movies. Surfing with the cool guys, playing baseball with the greatest girls, freeing killer whales, being Tank Girl. She was such a blast to watch. Glad you guys liked it, and so glad Carly was on board for it.
One of the best chase scenes filmed. Some of this movie went right over peoples heads when it came out which is weird because its not an overly complex movie. Also lead singer of The Red Hot Chili Peppers Anthony Kiedis plays "Tone" one of the surfers that gang up on Johnny the "That would be a waste of time." line is hilarious because thats the peak of his acting range. Also his name being Tone is neat because he's a musician.
Patrick Swayze‘s character and Keanu Reeves is our kindred spirits, they are soulmates. Their bond is stronger than Kiana‘s bond with any other character in the film, no one understands him better than Swayze. The reason why Kiana lets him go is not only because he loves him, but also because he shares in his love for the wave, for life. Swayze teaches Keanu the important lesson that life should not be structured, it should not be robotic and predictable, life should be lived to the furthest rather than survived. At no point in the film does Swayze go to far, he only kills one person in the whole film and it’s out of self-defense. Everyone else who gets killed is killed by someone else, someone who doesn’t share in Swayze‘s loathing for violence. It is sad that Kiana‘s partner died, but it was not Swayze‘s fault. It’s tragic, but that’s why Keanu doesn’t want revenge, and doesn’t hate him for it, because if it was Swayze who showed up behind him, he would not of shot. It’s a beautiful film that chooses to explore humanity in such a beautiful way, and really look at these two characters and focus on their bond, rather than giving us a typical action plot. The fact that instead of having some tent scene where they try to kill him on the plane, instead Swayze tries to drive home to lesson, that this is what matters, living on the edge, try new things, pushing ourselves beyond our breaking point, he takes him skydiving to help him remember the life he has for surfing. He could’ve killed him, they could’ve beat him up and threatened him, but instead he tries to help him see his point of you. And at the end of the film, Keanu does, that’s why he quits.
Only, you don't arm up to rob banks unless you are ready to kill. Furthermore, one can easily debate that Bodhi has a psychological change in mindset when he orders the vault to get hit because the whole point to the robberies being quick is to offset any possibility of a police shootout whilst ensuring that they can keep the crime spree alive. He also draws on the undercover cop first knowing his magnum would do the killing first.
@@joepermenter7228 Absolutely right. Bodhi is still a sociopath at the end of the day because there's no way to be a "moral" criminal. He was deluding himself all the way through until the very end when he blamed "bad luck" for all of the deaths that were the direct result of his criminality.
@@williamjpellas0314 I'm not entirely saying that his moral crusade is completely misplaced, I just know there is two sides to every coin and when the situation came to a boil he had no obvious escape route and righteous indignation or not he was in fact still on a crime spree armed for the inevitable.
@@joepermenter7228 "....righteous indignation or not he was in fact still on a crime spree armed for the inevitable". Yes. For all of his blather, he was still a criminal at the root of it all.
Personally I don't think the age matters much, there's a bunch of excellent movies that are considerably older. Many of the best action movies are also from the 80s & 90s. Good movies tend to stay good movies, regardless of age. Naturally some seem cheesy now, but they were also pretty cheesy(often intentionally) when they came out, much like many new movies aren't going to be looked back on fondly. For the oldest movie(so far) I personally found very good, I'd recommend the dark comedy "Kind hearts and coronets" from 1949.
@@DoubleMonoLR It depends on the movie. In that genre, they tend to age especially poorly. I watched the first couple Lethal Weapon films recently and they haven't held up nearly as well. I'm not just referring to content, but also the filmmaking techniques at play. Bigelow's shot composition and direction of action remains relevant and kinetic in a way few action films of that year would.
@@monovision566 This is how I feel about many of William Friedkin's and Peter Bogdanovich's films. Many of them feel like they were made today which is insane and a testament to their vision and talent.
I think Utah was just content in knowing that Bodhi knew that he was caught, that someone had finally beaten him, but at the same time, Utah felt like he owed it to Bodhi to let him die in those waves since he was the one that changed his perspective on life. Bodhi might've gotten lost along the way, but the wisdom he passed on to Utah was real, hence why when Bodhi asked if he was still surfing, Utah answered "Everyday" because his entire life was on a new path now. It's also why he tossed his badge into the surf, because he stopped being a Federal Agent the moment his partner got killed. He just needed to finish the job he and his partner started before he could truly be "finished." My head canon is that he and Tyler ended up running some surf shop together.
Keanu Reeves is older than one would think. He was great in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure in 1989, which I think was the same year as Dirty Dancing.
Haven't seen if anyone else mentioned this yet, but "the girl" (surf shop owner) is Lori Petty. She played Kit in "A League Of Their Own" as Gena Davis's sister and also stars in the post apocalyptic film "Tank Girl." She's also been in "Cadillac Man" among other films.
⚠️ Don't miss GARY BUSEY in THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY. All the actors played the instruments and sang in the movie. Gary Buesy was Nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Roll for this movie. He had to lose 47 lbs for the movie roll because Buddy was a very thin young man. An Amazing proformace. Don't miss it. Enjoy 😉
Amazing movie in so many ways! One of the classics. Story, characters and action just CLICKS! The running chase scene is one of the coolest scenes I’ve ever seen. Your reactions approves this as a classic. Thank you!
Great movie! I'm 52 now but I started surfing at age 5. Watching this and seeing those big waves excite me about the ocean. I've been dragged many times and nearly drowned, it freaks you out for a bit but you can't resist big waves once you're hooked. Great reaction, I can't believe someone thought you were mother and daughter..lol. It's obvious you're both sisters
Another good Patrick Swayze movie to watch is "Road House". I also Know Lori Petty, who played "Tyler" from another movie called "A League of Their Own." I would like to suggest that you both watch both of these movies.
One of my favorite movies ever. Both Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze were great in this one. I saw this when it originally came out in theaters(I was 20 years old). I took a hard pass on watching the remake just because it would not be the same without Keanu and Swayze. I also love the films from this director, Kathryn Bigelow., ever since I saw her first film, Near Dark, a vampire movie. Makes me want to watch this movie right now.
Ah glad y’all are visiting this lovely gem. When Keanu was still becoming John Wick and his first action film really. Swayze is great in this as well. I also recommend Road House from 1989 with Patrick. A very self aware action film:) Kathleen Bigelow’s direction of Point Break is amazing:)
I recommend the similarly named 1997 film "Grosse Pointe Blank" starring John Cusack. You can see Lori Petty star in "Tank Girl" from 1995. It also has Naomi Watts, Ice-T and Malcolm McDowell.
I love this movie!!! I always thought the bank robbing was part of a rush they got, plus it funded their surfing. I loved the sky diving, as well. And, the end, with long-haired Keanu! He just had to finish the job, let Bodhi know he found him and be done with all the rules. That last part where the music jumps in and he throws his badge into the ocean, love it!
SO GLAD YOU WACHED THIS!!! ❤this is my most favourite film ever, seriously influenced my life. 🙂 now remember the story line because if you ever watch fast and furious, you know where they got the story from.
14:03 - Keanu Reeves' "Surfer voice" is basically his "Ted" voice from "Bill And Ted's" Excellent Adventure and Bogus Journey. Two must watch comedy movies, if you haven't already. 😆
This is Gary Busey's best acting performance in my opinion. Before his motorcycle accident a couple years prior to this movie, he was supposed to have been the next rising star. So it is fitting to have him in this movie with Keanu Reeves, also rising start at the time.
I'm 10 days late to this video and I can't check 1,700 comments so sorry if I repeat anything, but... - This movie (and especially the ending) is hammy as heck but I love it, watching him go out for that last wave has me holding back tears no matter how dumb the scene is. - On a non-related note, in 2016 in the UK there was a vote to name a new scientific research ship. The winning option was 'Boaty McBoatface'. In the end they named it the 'RRS Sir David Attenborough' but they gave the name Boaty McBoatface to one of its submersibles instead. So "did you think his name was Boaty?" was extra entertaining 😂
There are several types of breaks in surfing including *Beach Break*, *Reef Break*, and *Point Break*, each is defined on where the wave "breaks" on landfall. Point Breaks are the most popular because of the traveling pipeline (letting surfers ride the wave longer), and unlike the others they are very unidirectional.
Keanu doing his Surfer Voice in this movie was pretty much the last time Keanu brought back out His famous Iconic Character Ted Logan's way of talking from Bill & Ted...well at least until doing the recent 3rd Bill & Ted movie
You should really explore more of Kathryn Bigelow's films...... This was early on and really great, as was Near Dark, but from Strange Days onward she was doing exceptional work. Zero Dark Thirty and The Hurt locker being her two most famous films.
This movie is all about feeling conflicted, happy, excited and sad. It has wild west robber vibes. This plot was so successful, it was used again for the movie "Fast and the Furious". Glad you liked it.
I caught this on VHS in the early 90s in high school. I never heard of it but I think my friends were recommending it. Was blown away by the foot chase scene and the parachute jumps. I guess the surfing didn't make quite the same impact, LOL.
I've been skydiving for 40 years and this is still the best jump scene I know of even though it's totally unrealistic mainly because you can't hear anything because there's so much wind
Unrealistic AF! 188 jumps here, and, yeah, the scene is cool, but laughable! Gear up on the climb to altitude, five minutes of freefall, making it to the formation on his very first jump ever, talking to each other in freefall, pulling at 1000 feet, and having to do a water landing without any training?! 😂😂😂😂 Blue skies!
Swayze did all the skydiving scenes himself. I read somewhere that he did 55 jumps in total just for the movie. Of course it's gonna be unrealistic timewise.
@@skyscribe Out of curiosity, how much time do you typically have in free fall before you have to pull your parachute? Also, I'm kinda curious as to how high the plane usually takes you up before you jump out.
*Another great Swayze movie is "Youngblood" with Rob Lowe from '86 *Keanu is also in this movie . Good storyline centering around ice hockey and of course a nice romance story
11:23 Fun fact: Carly mentions Chris Hemswoth when she sees Bodhi. In Avengers 1, Tony Stark taps Thor in the arm and says “you have a mean swing there, Point Break”.
I've always liked this action thriller, my VHS tape wore out watching it so much. RHCP fans might notice the guy who says, that would be a waste of time and shoots his foot is Anthony Kiedis the lead singer of the band.
Regarding your comments about Patrick Swayze's pointed toes and grace while sky diving (good eye!) he actually studied ballet. My sister is a professional ballet dancer and she had the good fortune to meet him once when he came to the ballet company she danced for. She said he was extremely friendly and had a very kind soul.
Two of the Presidents, Nathaniel and Grommet aren't actors; they're professional surfers. I think they did an amazing job!! The final scene was actually filmed on the Oregon coast. 👍🏽
Bodhi went for the *vault* because that was their last bank robbery. The FBI had their names, and they can't keep robbing banks and surfing waves in America. Bodhi need enough money for the gang to live in Mexico or elsewhere for the rest of their lives.

When this movie came out I was in my mid teens and from an area that's incredibly popular with surfing in the UK (the British surfing comedy film 'Blue Juice' was filmed nearby). Naturally, this movie was The Movie to see in my school year. It was so popular that instead of an end-of-GCSEs Prom, our school year wanted to have a beach party instead. It didn't happen of course - the school's safeguarding would've had a heart attack!
This movie, just like "Gleaming The Cube" had done 2 years before with Skate, was a trendsetter here where I live in North of Spain. Almost all my friends started surfing because of this movie.

Yep. Less than six years later the internet came along in 1997 and that was the beginning of the end of America.
Isn't surfing culture still there? Just uploaded to TikTok?

That was funny when you guys said Swayze looked like Hemsworth, it made me wonder if you guys rememberd that Tony Stark's nick name for Thor was Point Break for the same reason.
Yes he says you got a nice swing point break. I caught that reference, makes me wonder how many others did.
@@MarkDemeo Yes, and it was used again on Thor: Ragnarok as the code word Tony installed for Thor so he could get access to the Quinjet.

Patrick Swayze in this was so utterly impressive to me as a kid. Just so damn cool! I wanted to be him so bad. But we were also in a landlocked region, so all I could do was wear the gnarliest surf gear I could find at the mall. Jams shorts. OP shirts. I was fly!😂
Watch Patrick Swayze again in Red Dawn & Roadhouse.
Don’t forget The Outsiders. Especially paired with Red Dawn with several actors in common
@@peterreist2882 The cast of The Outsiders is pure gold.
Good call. Both awesome movies.
All 3 great movies

I never took it as ambiguous. Bodhi be dead.
Well, you kinda got sequels. I mean we're all the way up to Fast and Furious 10 now.
It's a GREAT movie and a classic. But it's by no means one of the greatest movies.
Strangely, the guy that says "its death on a stick out there" is actually an aussie actor but then the cops on the beach are clearly american actors with terrible aussie accents hahaha. Bizarre...

*favorite
The original Fast and the Furious is also a "remake" of this movie (with street racing instead of surfing lol.)
To add to your trivia: Patrick Swayze learned how to surf and skydive to do his own stunts for this movie because he wanted people to see his face in the stunts.
Dang. Kilmer would’ve been an epic Bodhi. Not that Swayze wasn’t. Swayze def looked perfect. But, Kilmer is the more skilled actor, imo.
Keanu's niceness is as much of a meme as Chuck Norris' toughness these days.

@@ChrisReise Hey, Chuck's memes are true as well! lol
This movie was a staple of my childhood! One of my funniest memories (in retrospective) is my older sister awkwardly trying to explain why Keanu's character couldn't shoot Swayze 😂
Keanu Reeves is known as the nicest guy in Hollywood. That's from people in Hollywood, so that's saying a lot.
This is true. Cena is also known having that title too
And Kurt Russel, it's about humility.
They're both very humble.
@@PercyLeon1 I really liked Cena til he did that cringefest apology to China. I still do, but not as much as I once did.
I remember going to the premier of Fast & the Furious & about 30 minutes in realized it was simply Point Break, taken to the streets.
It has nothing on Point Break tbh.
Tyler was played by the great Lori Petty. She was the younger sister in 'A league of their own' and of course 'Tank Girl'.
The rest of the gang is the rest of the band
@madpaduk lol😂😂😂
That's why he overacts in every scene.
Speaking of the range of Keanu Reeves,I believe his role in "The gift", with Cate Blanchett and Hillary Swank, is like no other.
This is one of my all time favorite movies. Great reaction, thank you.
For another 80’s classic react to “ROMANCING THE STONE” starring Michael Douglas, Danny Devito & Kathleen Turner. Action, Adventure, comedy & Romance in this one!
Excellent suggestion, it's a great movie too.
Lori Petty, Tyler in this movie, played Kit in "A League of Their Own".
One of the best Swayze performances and the breakthrough of Reeves as an action movie actor.
No, her husband did..
Ha. I thought that guy looked like AK. The Chili Peppers were in that movie Tough Guys in ‘86, too. Remember that one? Ha.
Kiedis is Tone Deaf.
Agent Dietz, the undercover detective who complains about the botched raid, is Tom Sizemore.
and let´s not forget Lori Petty, daughter of Tom Petty!
I dunno, he could scream pretty good
Patrick Swayze‘s character and Keanu Reeves is our kindred spirits, they are soulmates.

I was 4, my grandma took me to see this in the theater. It was epic
Kathryn Bigelow is such an incredible director. This movie holds up absurdly well for its age.
The first woman to win an Oscar for Best Director for The Hurt Locker

Glad you two enjoyed the movie. Its always a pleasure watching your reactions.
I think Utah was just content in knowing that Bodhi knew that he was caught, that someone had finally beaten him,
but at the same time, Utah felt like he owed it to Bodhi to let him die in those waves since he was the one that changed his perspective on life. He just needed to finish the job he and his partner started before he could truly be "finished."
My head canon is that he and Tyler ended up running some surf shop together.
👍🏻
They are a bit older now, but they are still running that surf shop together. They have 4 kids all grown now and all of them hit the waves every day.
Nice analysis Sully! Love it.

Kathryn Bigelow has always been a great director. You should also watch Strange Days, which she did right after this one, it's brilliant.
Keanu Reeves is older than one would think. He was great in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure in 1989, which I think was the same year as Dirty Dancing.
Close. Dirty Dancing was '87. But it was only 2yrs though.
Enjoy 😉

I took a hard pass on watching the remake just because it would not be the same without Keanu and Swayze. I also love the films from this director, Kathryn Bigelow., ever since I saw her first film, Near Dark, a vampire movie. Makes me want to watch this movie right now.
