This review was not just for people who don't have an issue eating "dirty" keto but also to inform those who want to eat "clean" or that have wheat/gluten sensitivities. I also felt it was important, given the number of comments I read in other videos about how this bread "will spike your insulin and knock you out of ketosis", that I share how this impacted my blood glucose readings. I'm not dogmatic about keto and I respect people's right to eat this stuff or avoid it. I have no vested interest either way.
Steve you look a bit like Ryan Secrest in this video. You can take that as a compliment by my standards. I have not got to try the Aldis bread yet but if the one here has it I guess sooner or later I will try it. I saw on line this bread SOLO have you seen that yet? They have hotdog buns and loaf bread and I believe hamburger buns and some other stuff. You can get it in packages of loaf bread and a few other things. Maybe you could check that out and see what you think. Thanks for the review on that bread. I believe I have seen they have two different kinds of loaf bread at Aldis. Well thanks again.
Hi Steve! Thank you for reading the ingredients to us, and sharing your blood glucose tests... good to know... I have experienced that vital wheat gluten, as a base for low carb homemade bread, like Deidre’s, makes my knees ache! But this has the gluten in the middle of the list... so I am going to find it and try it... thank you Steve! 😃👍🏻
Yeah sadly gluten makes me break out on my arms and legs so weird it didn’t start happening till 2006 so you saved me from worrying about trying that bread. But I learned about lupine flour thanks to you and “the keto kitchen” and I make the keto connect reworked bread loaf with lupine flour to counteract a little bitterness I use everything but the bagel seasoning. The Textures is amazing
Hey Guys, I work at Aldi and I have a few tips for getting yourselves some keto bread. We stock our shelves before the store opens, we have not been getting a lot of this Keto bread in ...so your best bet is to shop early. Tuesday and Thursday seem to be a little less busy. Hope this helps.
I make my own sandwich, 1 tbsp coconut flour. 2 tbsp ground flaxseed. 1 tbsp butter. 1 egg. 1/2 tsp baking powder. Mix it all together in a croc dish big enough to spread out in the thickness of a sandwich. Then microwave it for 2 minutes. This has a couple of net carbs and tastes nice, much better than almond flour.
Appreciate that you didn’t drag out the blood testing part. People think they need to show the whole process (to prove legitimacy) but it gets sooo boring! We trust you. Thanks for giving us the results succinctly. :) I had similar BG results with this product and I enjoy it occasionally. Keep mine in the freezer. I look forward to your future videos on how else to use it!
You're the freakin man dude! I'm a diabetic and I really appreciate you really experimenting with the bread. You're not just trying to sell the taste for views like other channels. Honesty is really appreciated. Ty
Just for reference, here are my blood glucose readings from the Aldi's bread: Prior to eating: 84 30 minutes after eating: 99 60 minutes after eating: 94 120 minutes after eating: 91 Based on the Keto Mojo article I reference in the description, I only briefly went from "optimal" to just into "good". Your mileage may vary, but it sure didn't impact me much.
Great vid. So.. meat is mildly insulinogenic so maybe those ham slices could have gave that bread an even bigger “spike” (if one cld even call it that). Maybe slight raise is more appropriate. But I get it, one would typically have an actual sandwich w/ this bread, not just the bread alone. As a “ketovore”, constant Ketosis isn’t my goal. Being 95% carnivore (keto are my cheat meals), I leave ketosis once or twice a day. It’s more about insulin spikes. Meat has a very mild & short insulin raise, unlike carbs of course where they’ll spike, last a long time, & mess w/ hormones. Also, have you ever tried Joseph’s pita & lavish breads? They are really low carb, keto friendly. I make a killer cheese quesadilla out of their lavish bread and it takes 5 mins so I’m not cooking all day.
Joseph's lavash is 6 carbs per ½ piece not per piece. You really need the whole thing to do a decent roll up. So that makes it 12 carbs. So not so low carb if you sticking to 20 net carbs a day.
I just got my hands on this bread as well. I haven't had bread in almost a year so i really don't miss it. I actually like this bread and ive made grilled turkey and cheese sandwiches. Taste fine to me.
As a type two diabetes, I will not complain. I’m tired of eating just vegetables and meat. This would be a god sent if it does not raise my blood sugar significantly
Legendary Foods makes Keto pop tarts. I found them online. Look on UTube for Keto Connect videos or Kristi Davis videos , they have videos explaining which keto packaged products they prefer.
I tried this yesterday. We made a grilled cheese and ham sandwich out of it. I don't recall a significant raise in glucose. This is 12g of carbs but every one of those is fiber. I also didn't just eat that. I had a salad to go with it.
You can reverse your T2D by maintaining a Keto diet. I use a bread maker and make my own bread that has only 2.2 carbs per slice. It’s the taste and texture of bread you used to eat.
I have been using it for a few months now and really enjoy it. I have been missing toast with an omelet and it great with sugar-free jelly. Not bad as a sandwich too. Been keto 1 year today and have lost 80 lbs. Enjoy your Channel
I have not found a sugar free jelly that doesn't have multidextrin or dextrose in..those two are higher on the glycolic index than sugar....what Kind of jelly do you use?
@@adriennesmart8094 I don't think so, I'm more at a maintenance step right now. It's nice to have opinions. I only have 2-3 slices a week and some weeks none at all.
I just ordered that bread from aldis and not having bread in over 5yrs it was heaven to have a grilled cheese sandwich,I can never make a good bread substitute but I have this now, thanks for doing the review, your my idol
I actually found some the other day so I picked up a few loaves. I liked it for the most part. The convenience of it, the macros, and the close taste won me over on it.... goes great with his pimento cheese and egg salad recipe... just saying
This is such a great alternative for my husband and I. Just nice every once in a while to have some. I also love to take the ends, cube them, toss them in olive oil and Italian seasoning and baking for croutons for our salads for some crunch! Thanks for the review!
I'm definitely going to try this bread! Thank you!!Mission, Guerrero and La Banderita Zero Carb tortillas have SAVED me. When I start losing it, I lightly char one on the burner and add a slice of muenster cheese and I'm back in control. I will definitely try this Aldi bread. Thanks for such a thorough review!
I am so excited - I finally found Aldi's zero net carb bread in my local Aldi's! One of the first things I did after bringing my loaf home and opening it was to process the heels into bread crumbs, and this evening I made breaded eggplant. The bread crumbs exceeded my expectations. It fried well without falling off in the pan and burning on the bottom of the pan like other low carb products I've bought. It has a firmer "bite" than regular bread crumbs, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It also didn't soak up the oil - I used 1/4 cup of oil to shallow fry 10 eggplant rounds and still had most of the oil left when I was done. I'm pretty sure these are going to work really well with salmon patties. Gonna make some this evening. My husband will be so happy. Thanks for your great videos and honest opinions.
I’ve been playing around with a breadcrumb recipe from one of my viewers. It’s 3 parts Aldi breadcrumbs, 1 part crushed pork rinds, and 1/3 part almond powder. I make my almond powder by drying out the pulp from when I make almond milk, then running it through a spice grinder (coffee grinder).
I just found this channel today.... Ive been a yoyo low carb dieter for years... FIrst after my son was born in 2011. I went from 240 to 180 lbs in 90 days. Of course it went back on almost as easy. Its been between 185-225 ever since. I watched all of your transformation videos, and was SHOCKED at the parallels in our stories. Same height, same weight, same habits, same across the board. Tonight, I hit up aldi and found this bread. I bought 2 loaves. First thing I made tonight was grilled cheese sammich. HOLY SHIZ... Ive tried every type of bread on the planet and this is amazing. The texture was great, the taste was as close to legit bread as ive ever tasted. Wish they made bagels and buns. I am a bread junkie. IN fact I always promise to make a bread and butter diet, because I could eat that for life. THanks for this video, and your journey. Ill check back with you near the end of summer when Im at my goal weight. Youve also given me the motivation to take my journey further than the past. I always figured my ideal weight was 175, I too am 5'9". I am pretty broad shouldered and carry a lot of muscle, so 155 may be aggressive, but I think i realize now that 175 might just be goal #1. THank you sir. From one state over in Iowa. Thank you
I use this bread almost every day and like it toasted and grilled cheese. It satisfies my bread craving-I have thrown out every other keto bread I have brought.
I just found it in stock at my Aldi last week. I bought two loaves. They have a four loaf limit. Put one in the freezer right away. I tried it and pretty much felt just like you did about it. I’m going to have to try it as a grilled cheese sandwich and French toast too, as I think these would work. For the life of me, I do not see why people spend $15 a loaf on EBay for this bread.
Little pro tip for you. When planning on making French Toast, set the bread out to dry. Then when you dip the bread in the eggs it'll absorb better and not be spongey when cooked.
Steve, thanks for helping to clarify the range of glucose change that is considered a spike. That was very helpful, I had tried to track that down on my own and gave up. Appreciate your videos and the information you share!!
I had been looking for this bread at different ALDI locations in my area for months. Finally got my hands on some and bought 4 loaves. Keeping 3 in the freezer and 1 in the fridge. Can’t wait to have avocado toast and fried eggs on top!
I have been able to get the Aldi zero carb bread for a while now. I didn't eat it at first because I was staying clean keto but I caved in during quarantine. I agree with your review of taste and texture. I really find it pretty tasteless. I did cinnamon toast, French toast and some PB&J (sliced strawberries for J) but I didn't even think about grilled cheese!😲 Definitely going to do that soon - cut in triangles, of course!! 😉. I didn't check my blood glucose when eating it and I had other dirty keto stuff for about a month during quarantine and for that month I didn't lose any weight, even with IF, and I had 25 lbs more to go to my goal weight. When I got much more "clean" I started losing weight again, so just a warning for folks about getting too "dirty".
Couldn't agree more, I was eating the Aldi zero carb bread pretty much daily for a month and gained weight, one week without the bread and I lost weight. I sure was loving those BLT's, egg salad and chicken salad sandwiches :) Once I reach my goal I will splurge every now and then when I get a sandwich craving.
Steve -- great review!!! 👏 .... Loved the blood test as well as the grill cheese taste test. I found this Aldi bread 🍞 like a month ago & as a Keto follower I'm enjoying it too. Kudos to your great videos & keep up the great work!
Unfortunately I cannot do gluten but I have a bread machine recipies that utilizes gluten and oat fiber that I make bread for andy. It's a lot like the real thing in texture..he likes it. Currently making your tortilla recipies for the second time. Doubling the recipies both times. I use my pancake griddle instead of two fry pans.. they are awesome! Also just made more cookies with salted caramel from perfect keto. This will be the 4th time I've made them double the recipie. Your recipies so rock! Thanks steve!
Steve - after going a year without any bread this was manna from heaven!!! Even though it does not have much of a taste on its own - it is a GREAT vehicle for sandwiches, etc. and I am LOVING IT!!!! I would really like to know your thoughts on the Keto ice cream that ALDI sells also!
Thank you for the great video! I tried the Aldi "red bag" white bread, and it was very mediocre, though to me, is fine for slathering some peanut butter on it for a snack. Then I bought the "orange bag" multi seed" bread, and was very happy with it. It is also zero net carbs, and has more flavor than the white "red bag" keto bread, which tasted kind of like cardboard to me. I'm from Austria, so i grew up eating pumpernickel, rye, and other more hearty breads. I was never a fan of white "cotton" bread. I have been checking out the recipes for making keto bread, and I believe I would rather buy this bread for $4.00 a loaf, then go through all the time and trouble of making bread. I had 2 "club" sandwiches for breakfast (because the bread is smaller pieces, and zero net carbs), and it is great to find a bread that will not spike my blood sugar, and actually tastes pretty decent. It also does make a pretty good grilled cheese, though I fried mine in a pan with a little butter, old school style, instead of toasting it. When it comes down to it, adding some good meat, cheese, or bacon is surely going to make this bread taste even better....Peace!
You kinda won me over with the, "Right now, just imagine I'm eating that French toast." Priceless. I'm still not going to eat the Aldi's keto bread, but I'd buy a used car from you, any day.
We have had both the wheat and multigrain bread in my area of NC for over 6 months. It does make Keto easier for me because it satisfies the "crunch". I also like the Multigrain over the Wheat. Less cardboard taste. Also slightly more moist. Great with almond butter at breakfast.
Shared this video with my husband who is eating this bread. He agreed with everything you had to say about the bread. Only thing we didn't try was the cheese sandwiches. Which we intend to try. Thanks for the review.
I have been eating low carb for over 16 years. I am so excited about your review. I wondered how it impacted one’s blood sugar and it’s exciting to see it had minimal effect. I guess after not eating real bread for 16 years this stuff taste perfect to me! Love it! BTW: it freezes great!
My 88 year old mom will love this . She has diabetes and she won’t stop eating bread so this is a good option for her . I prefer clean keto but I would have a grilled cheese sandwich with my mom . That’s what I miss .
So I recently discovered your channel. I have become a fan, but after seeing the Cap shirt and the Boba Fett Lock Screen, I’m 100% in. Thanks for the info.
I"m glad you kind of got "won over" from eating this bread over the course of your video --- because it is BY FAR the best keto bread out there. Especially when compared to the $10 "pound cake" consistency keto bread I've had over the past few years. We stumbled across this bread by accident, and have never looked back. Thanks for the review.
I was excited to find the Aldi bread. The price is probably going to be a deal breaker for my at 3.99 here in Atlanta. I really liked it. It reminds me of homemade bread. It does seem like it needs a little salt but salted butter takes care of that. Thanks for doing this video. I’m looking forward to a toasted cheese sandwich.
Being from WI, I always chuckle when people say Aldis vs Aldi. Similar to when people say Chipolte vs Chipotle. Keep up the great videos! I liked the bread. It is fine for what it is.
Zero Carb Bread makes awesome garlic bread cubes (croutons) to use on a salad or in soup. Just cube, fry in butter with garlic powder and/or Italian seasonings (or your own choice of seasonings) until toasty brown. Yummy!
The secret is to eat it with very moist spreads or runny eggs. It has wheat and soy, so ...desperate times call for desperate measures. Dry as *F* and mostly sawdusty.
Both breads are awesome.. I just picked 2 loafs tonight.. It's a little dirty but it does the job and tastes great on a sandwhich! plus they had a whole bunch of crackers etc with 0 carbs.. I welcome that even though it's not pure yet.
I really like this bread. Even at $3.50, it’s cheaper than a lot of other keto breads. Just like you, I also have to throw it in the fridge to keep it from spoiling. Nice tip with the breadcrumbs. I also save the ends to make individual pizzas. Quite good.
My hubby is a type 2 diabetic and 3 months ago his hba1c was greater than 14 and his diet was terrible. We found this “bread” and along with cutting the carbs and doing intermittent fasting his hgba1c was 8.9 a couple of days ago. We use this for a hamburger and it doesn’t seem to affect his blood sugar. Thank you for the review. And yes a grilled cheese definitely needs to be cut in triangles. LOL
I use L'oven Fresh Keto Friendly Wheat Bread. I freeze it mainly because it takes a week or so to us a loaf. Good for toast, grilled ham and cheese. Do not know if freezing and toasting is any additional benefit.😊😊
The packaging and the bread look different from the bread I buy at Aldi’s in the Chicagoland area - I love it! Un-toasted it’s a little chewy but it’s fine - toasted is better! One day I had a sandwich with regular bread and had that dreaded bloated feeling I get from eating carbs - for dinner I had the exact same sandwich with the keto bread and I felt great - it’s helped me drop 14 lbs and I’m just thrilled about this bread! I’m not keto but very low carb - the only thing that helps me. Great review 👍🏻
Without reading any of the postings… my personal take- --this is a deal changer! As a bariatric post-op (20 years), this bread doesn’t cause me sugar issues or “dumping.” They offer both white & wheat versions at my local Aldi (always in stock). It is more than sufficient for a keto dieter looking for bread without guilt. I use it to lower overall daily sugar load for myself, family and grandkids. I use it to make French Toast, p&j (for the kids), and “keto custard” in a hole in the air fryer. I love the white bread in grilled cheese sandwiches (I use Mayo, not butter on the bread) and open faced with tuna fish or chicken salad. The cost per loaf is so worth it since I don’t have to make bread any longer.
Thanks so much for an in-depth review of this bread. I heard the blood sugar spike thing, I’m diabetic so thats important to me. I will grab a loaf of this and toast it a little and put my tuna fish on it with lettuce greens and a slice of jersey beefsteak tomato. Yum! Thank you so much, eating tuna fish, chicken or egg salad without bread is disappointing!
I picked up a loaf today - glad for your review. Now I won't have unrealistic expectations when I try it. I also picked up Aldi's zero carb parmesan jalapeno crackers. Those are really good - better than I expected. I like your reviews of food- if you don't like something, you say so in a nice way. Thank you for your videos.
Great video. I like the methodology you use and that you make the disclaimer that the results are really only valid for you. Until I discovered this bread, I missed the TEXTURE of bread (and toast). While I missed the flavor, I discovered (after eating some) that it was really the texture of bread. In addition, most of the bread "substitutes" I've tried on keto weren't flavor satisfying, except for Fat Head bread. Even psyllium breads that I make at home had a slightly odd mouth feel (thought they were really tasty). But, I love the toasted crunch that this bread brings back. While I still miss the flavor of artisan loaves of bread, this Aldi bread really delivers on the texture front. I get the flavor from whatever I slather it with! Thanks for your work.
Love this information, we do not have Aldi's where i live but i have started making some keto bread recipies and they are delicious. After not having bread for over 9 months it has been really nice and it is yummy! I also have a bagel recipie i love and i do not know if i would have survived keto without my Chaffles, that was definitely a game changer for me and they are very versatile from bread too pizza too desserts. Seriously though, i could just listen to you talk, bonus is i also learn things too, what could be better!!! :)
Great review with an honest evaluation. I think too many people get compulsive crazy about keto so I appreciate your measured approach without being a fanatic about it. You also don’t push dozens of supplements on people to keep them in “clean” keto.....checking your blood glucose levels 10 times a day to avoid “dirty” keto, etc..... thanks for the honest review. By the way, you sound like Orson Wells!
The best thing about this bread is that it lets you be normal. I can grill out with my family and just have a burger on a "bun" like a normal human. And as long as it helps me keep my sanity as I try to lose another 60lbs; I couldn't care less if it spikes my blood sugar a little bit more than a meal without it.
My wife and I have been able to get l’oven bread without much difficulty for some time now. I am a serious Italian bread snob......as in, if it’s not Italian bread it’s just not bread (probably why I need to be on a diet, right?). Anyway, I completely agree with your review. Everything you said is spot on. It’s good, not great...and don’t over toast it. Butter and other condiments help, but doesn’t save it completely. I greatly prefer the multi-seed version over the wheat version. With all that said, l’oven bread is like a gift from the gods when on a keto diet.
I think aldi’s bread is pretty good, haven’t tried it French toast style...grill sandwich’s are my fav and I’ve made breadcrumbs with it as well. Thanks for the review
The allulose maple syrup is really good. It's the only Keto friendly syrup I've found that that I like. It's kinda pricey but I figure I don't eat french toast and pancakes that much on keto.
i tried this bread today...good stuff! its dense and tastes like wheat bread to me. l wont eat a ton of it but to sop up egg yolks at breakfast once in a while it will be fine. thanks for the heads up on this item!
I eat this bread regularly, but I don’t test my blood sugar (tho I probably should). I don’t feel a spike which I normally do so I hope it’s fine for me. Also the multigrain tastes MUCH better in my opinion. And definitely toasted with butter, grilled cheese type sandwich is the best
When I feel like having a "sandwich" type of meal, I just make plenty of my flavored chaffels, which I can whip up fast and then store the rest in my fridge or freezer. As far as making any kind of "bread" crumb....I like using the pork rinds which have done GREAT. But good review Steve...I know I'll NEVER see that zero bread in my area any time soon, but I'm not sad about it :)
This review was both for people who don't have an issue eating "dirty" but also to inform those who want to eat "clean". I'm not dogmatic about it and I respect people's right to eat it or avoid it. Honestly, I need to do a bulk chaffle day so that I can have them on hand instead of this stuff.
@@laurietatum2763 I have one FAVORITE recipe that has worked for me, and I can't remember where I got this recipe from, I just printed it off and have used it ever since: The name of the recipe is called White Bread Chaffels and when I make this I 6X times this recipe so I can make at least 10 chaffels, but this is just the original recipe: To bowl, add 3 TB egg whites, 1tsp mayo, pinch of salt, 1TB softened cream cheese, 1/2 tsp baking powder, a pinch of your choice sweetner, 2TB almond flour and this is optional but I personally add it myself; 1/2tsp phsyllium husk and 1/2 tsp water. Just mix everything well and cook in waffle iron....I make so many I use my big waffle iron...DASH No-Drip Belgian Waffle Maker, which I bought after Steve demonstrated it when he first bought it...and I LOVE it whenever I make any of my chaffels. And too I usually will add onion/garlic/italian seasoning to my chaffel mix...depending on what I feel like having. I use these chaffels for all kinds of sandwiches and even breakfast sandwiches!
Chaffle ‘bread’ is the way to go 😎.... so many ways you can make it and with the new mini griddle they sell now you can make a decent bun-like chaffle bread 😀👍
I get this bread and like it but it is full of such bad ingredients. But I didn’t find it to be too bad compared to other keto breads I’ve tried. There is a new Nero bread at walk art that is very similar. “...a little bit of dirt on it”. Love that. Your voice is fantastic and engaging.
I’m just so thrilled to actually have bread just in time for fresh from my garden tomato sandwiches! And zero carb too! I love it for grilled cheese too.
The cheese raises my glucose but not a spike. The meat I read labels to know the sugar, molasses honey or any other sugar. Overall I really think for me is a go. Thank your honest review.
Hey Steve, funny I was going to message about french toast when half way through you did :) (Love french toast) miss it. So looking forward to trying this (if I can find it at my ALDis)
Thank you for this review. There is an Aldi right across the street from our Apt. complex. I have been wanting to try it and now I will. Always enjoy your reviews.
Great review as usual Steve, Tx 4 all the different ways of preparing it... Gonna see if Aldi's has it now and give it a shot and I'll let U no how it effects my blood sugar and how it tastes.
I really like it. I dont eat it every day but I could,,lol. I need to purchase a keto mojo machine. But I can kind of tell if my blood sugar spikes i think. But better safe than sorry. The wheat has me a little concerned. But thanks!
I’ve been on edge about this bread finally for my hands on one but was wondering what it would do. Watching your results kind of helped to put my mind at ease so thank you
I absolutely LOVE this bread. I checked my ketones a few time after eating 2 slices and it didn’t affect my ketones at all. Yay!! I get the wheat and it’s not egg en as strong as regular wheat bread. I totally disagree with his review even though I love him lol. I toast it (put butter on it first then toast or broil if you want it not as dry which I don’t even think it’s dry) and I put an egg, turkey bacon and avacado on it! With a dash of hot sauce lol. Almost 8 weeks in it was a much needed relief!! Really revamped my keto game!!
wish i could say the same. i guess people with high insulin resistance get impacted the most. those that are not diabetic would see the most benefit since their body would respond to the carbs instantly, thus avoiding a spike.
no ,no, no, NEVER refrigerate bread...put in freezer and take out what you need. thanks for this review...i was wondering about this bread. probably wouldnt eat often, bc the ingredients-- it is filled with processed foods but cant wait to try french toast!
Thanks for this test, as my other half is diabetic and I will consider to eat this, even being a diabetic or/and doing keto. Thanks for such a useful test demonstration!!!! Dan xx

Congrats on the weight loss! 🙂👍
Ooohhh... multi grain!!! Yeahhhhh
I'm down 20 myself, this bread helped a lot. I do like it toasted or grilled much better than plain.
It’s an awesome bread for me... I eat it with my hamburgers, tuna and whatever else... I won’t eat any other bread
I love it. I find that when I toast it on the stove in the skillet with butter....yummy. Grill cheese, panini, sandwiches, oh my.
Not sure if anyone has ever told you this, but you need to be in radio. You could sell sand in the desert with that voice.

He reminded me of Dan Patrick as soon as the video started, so it was interesting to see your comment here. lol
Or do TV commercials !
Yep, you have "that voice".

Based on the Keto Mojo article I reference in the description, I only briefly went from "optimal" to just into "good".
@@banparlous2552 I have not. Where do you find it?
Serious Keto they sell them at Walmart in the normal bread aisle (which is one reason most keto/low carb people haven’t seen it).
@@banparlous2552 Hey! "Ketovore"! I made that word up. You stole it.
@@pattiearehart118 Full-blown Keto isn't always the best choice for everyone with Diabetes.
It doesn't matter, you will never find this bread in an Aldi store.
OMG, I actually love this. It's the closet the closest to bread. I love it. Love your video.
I have been using it for a few months now and really enjoy it. I have been missing toast with an omelet and it great with sugar-free jelly. Not bad as a sandwich too. Been keto 1 year today and have lost 80 lbs. Enjoy your Channel
Did this bread make you gain weight. Thanks
Well done
I have not found a sugar free jelly that doesn't have multidextrin or dextrose in..those two are higher on the glycolic index than sugar....what Kind of jelly do you use?
Congrats to your success Mike!
This does work really nice for a grilled cheese.
So far, this bread is the closest to bread feeling/tasting of keto breads I’ve tried. 😊
Even compared to cloud bread? (I haven’t tried any Keto breads yet.)
JP M I do not like cloud bread.
Ann Gregory Oh! You are the first person I’ve heard say that. What is it that you don’t like about it?
JP M The texture. I like chaffles better, but with that being said, I don’t eat much bread anyway. It’s a once in a while for me.
Ann Gregory Ah! Well, I do appreciate your honesty!
It is THE best low carb bread out there! I even used it for turkey day stuffing
In my opinion, the multi grain tastes better than the wheat
Wtf .... are you serious $15;?
Mine has been sitting on my counter for seven weeks now and it hasn’t gone bad so you don’t even need to freeze it
I use the orange loaf. Made French toast with it last night and it was 🔥 🔥
Our Aldo one per family
Little pro tip for you. When planning on making French Toast, set the bread out to dry. Then when you dip the bread in the eggs it'll absorb better and not be spongey when cooked.
Awesome tip. Thanks!
You are such a CHARACTER!😃👍 This was a really good review. Thank you.
I appreciate your honesty, as always. Now my mouth is watering for a grilled cheese with pepperoni!
I’ve been missing my grilled cheese and tomato soup...
Never thought of that combo before I'll try it thanks.
Eww pepperoni
Rhonda Hancock Oh, you wicked woman! You had to mention BLTs and now I’m craving them! LOL 😉
Mona S. 😂
@@rhondahancock1208 Yep, that's my plan too. Now I know how "dirty" I can be and maintain weight.
Thank you for this. I was wondering if this would stall weight loss. So essentially I should probably wait. But I'm glad it's an option!
I started using this bread as soon as my Aldi's had it in stock. I REALLY love this bread!
I'm glad you're getting some mileage of of them. 😀
I found this review VERY helpful. Found your personality and delivery very refreshing. Thanks for the review!
Glad it was helpful!
Ann Kaufmann I did not know they have ice cream. Thanks for the tip
It's pretty high carb compared to the Rebel and Enlightened brands.
Love the bread and the Keto ice cream.
Ann Kaufmann Costco have Keto Ice cream bars that are truly awesome!
tobywinter1 I love the mint chocolate keto icecream
I love that bread best I’ve tried so far. Thank you for the review.
You kinda won me over with the,
"Right now, just imagine I'm eating that French toast."
Priceless.
I'm still not going to eat the Aldi's keto bread, but
I'd buy a used car from you, any day.
Today is the first you’ve popped up as a notification for me in ages ! Thanks for the review ! I love the Joseph’s Lavish for tuna rolls and subs.
We have had both the wheat and multigrain bread in my area of NC for over 6 months. It does make Keto easier for me because it satisfies the "crunch". I also like the Multigrain over the Wheat. Less cardboard taste. Also slightly more moist. Great with almond butter at breakfast.
I like the multigrain better as well.
I got some . I like the multi seed. They say it will be standard at Aldi in October .
I prefer the multi seed as well
I like the multi seed and when i put butter and salt on it, it is the bomb!!!
Salt is the answer for me!
Shared this video with my husband who is eating this bread. He agreed with everything you had to say about the bread. Only thing we didn't try was the cheese sandwiches. Which we intend to try. Thanks for the review.
This bread is not selling in singapore
I like the bread. Can’t expect perfection, it is keto after all. Great for sandwiches and toast!!!
I just purchased a Keto-Mojo G+ monitor (does both BG and Ketones) so I can start monitoring to see what works and what doesn't...
I a big believer that everyone needs to make their own choices. I just provide info.
If the bread doesn't knock you out of Ketosis how is it dirty? It's just a word that changes your diet?
I’m just happy to have “bread” again. Thank you!
Couldn’t agree more. Tried keto bread last year that was gross, tasteless cake like stuff. This L’Oven stuff is the bomb!
🤣🤣🤣 pound cake keto bread.... smh.... yep, your description nailed it!
bertnelly2003 I always buy two loaves when I go to aldi. I keep one in the freezer.
And the price isn’t bad! Especially for the convenience and taste.
I love this bread! I eat it with scrambled eggs, air fryer sandwiches and with sugar-free jelly. It meets all my expectations of being a great bread!
Wisdom and laughter all in one, thanks Steve
I use it in meatloaf haven't tried grilled cheese, will do soon. Thanks
Yes! Salted butter works.
What’s missing is salt! I sprinkle a little salt on it. Makes a lot of difference.
Yummy!
Spot on taste's like cardboard but still beats egg bread! Eagerly awaiting a bread recipe from you Great review.
Get the seeded one and slightly toast it in toaster. Way better
The secret is to eat it with very moist spreads or runny eggs. It has wheat and soy, so ...desperate times call for desperate measures. Dry as *F* and mostly sawdusty.
Yeah, I'd rather eat lettuce wraps for sandwiches and mug for grilled cheese
I have tried this more than once and @ $4.00 a pop I just can not do it a 4th time . Thank you for sharing ❤️
I use it from time to time, never toast it, just warm it. Then I sprinkled pink Himalayan salt & 🧈 🧂that way it taste way better.
Quite good.
I keep mine in freezer and pull out what I need. I love the seeded one lightly toasted!! Yum

And yes a grilled cheese definitely needs to be cut in triangles. LOL
All breads spike my blood sugar. So, no breads for me. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks very much for helping us to find out the right thing for our sugar control levels, So grateful. God Bless you
Grilled cheese sandwiches always taste better when cut in triangles. Don't ask me why 🤣
There has to be a scientific explanation. 😀
Grilled cheese sandwiches always taste better with BACON!!!

Good review. I watched the whole thing. When I get down to the weight I want to achieve, I'll try it out.

As a bariatric post-op (20 years), this bread doesn’t cause me sugar issues or “dumping.”
They offer both white & wheat versions at my local Aldi (always in stock).
I’ll have to get some of those crackers. Thanks for the heads up. 👍🏻
You are my favorite Keto channel. I love your voice, your reviews, recipes and your T-shirts!!! lol.
Thanks so much 😊
Thx for doing the review! I can't have gluten so this saved me a trip to Aldi. Really appreciate it!!!!!
I really like your lessons and reviews. I don't know how I have never seen you until yesterday. I have been learning about Keto since 2018.
Glad to have you here.
That's the first I've heard the Orson Welles comment. I could only dream to have a voice like that. Thanks.
There’s definitely something to be said for that. It can be hard feeling like the odd one out in a family of non-keto people.
The occasional treat with the bread would be ok for the majority of people.
Dude. Just found you this morning. You're like a deadpan SNL Chris Hansen....good on ya. I'm getting this bread.
Why don't you have a seat over there. 😉
....slowly puts the chips back in the cupboard...."Uhhh....ok."
Jean what is your recipe for chaffels
@@laurietatum2763 I have one FAVORITE recipe that has worked for me, and I can't remember where I got this recipe from, I just printed it off and have used it ever since: The name of the recipe is called White Bread Chaffels and when I make this I 6X times this recipe so I can make at least 10 chaffels, but this is just the original recipe:
To bowl, add 3 TB egg whites, 1tsp mayo, pinch of salt, 1TB softened cream cheese, 1/2 tsp baking powder, a pinch of your choice sweetner, 2TB almond flour and this is optional but I personally add it myself; 1/2tsp phsyllium husk and 1/2 tsp water.
Have you tried Julian's Bakery Bread from on line? I believe it's clean. I'm ordering some today. It's expensive but may be worth it.
Thank you. 😊
Several stores put it in a random area away from regular bread... so look carefully!
Thank you for this review. There is an Aldi right across the street from our Apt. complex. I have been wanting to try it and now I will. Always enjoy your reviews.
You are so welcome!
Thanks!love this type of info.
I'm making homemade cheesypuffs with it. I like your reenactment lol..Thank you for this video. God bless
no ,no, no, NEVER refrigerate bread...put in freezer and take out what you need. thanks for this review...i was wondering about this bread. probably wouldnt eat often, bc the ingredients-- it is filled with processed foods but cant wait to try french toast!
Thank you sooo much for this! Aldi bread is now my go to for bread!
Did not knock me out of keto. Never went for more than 2 slices, though.
Thanks for this test, as my other half is diabetic and I will consider to eat this, even being a diabetic or/and doing keto. Thanks for such a useful test demonstration!!!! Dan xx
All you need to do is pan fry the bread in Irish butter to make this bread MUCH better. And you can’t use too much butter.
I really like these thorough reviews. Much appreciated. 👍
I love this bread makes Keto a lot easier
