I wouldn't automatically recognize this guy if I walked by him. People forget about one guy on TV. It's the legal battle and registry that ruin him. It limits all your life opportunities forever.

This show will pass in time but the legal records are there forever. That means no job, renting a home, etc forever. Being on TV isn't what's screwing him.

Damn Chris Hansen is a genius. He builds a "trust" with these guys and it is almost as if they are upset that they let Chris down. Chris positions himself as an authority figure. It's pretty amazing to watch this stuff unfold.

In the unseen raw tcap tapes Chris says this himself. He says during the first few investigations most people ran. But towards the end, the vast majority of people sat down and talked things out with him. Even to defend themselves or to confess, it's like both the predators respect and Chris' experience grew together and he came to become respected feared......and almost loved in a way. One of the guys in bowling green called him a therapist and really opened up to him.
This is because in Bowling green, the final tcap investigation, Chris has perfected his way of conversing, the house setup with easy chairs, the perfect enticing decoy who sits and talks with them a little...it's a fascinating process to watch.
