Concerts in the park, free. Grandfathered gym membership is $49 a year. Grandfathered house payment and property tax $1500. Still get market rate salary on top of that. Car is paid off and I work from home so may not even need a car but nice to have one in LA.
I live in Melbourne, Australia and I pay more than that in EVERY category, even if I calculate in USD. And I live alone and rent. And here I was thinking LA was expensive. It is NOT.
yeah, I would say 80k per year or 6500 per month will help you live Comfortably for single person with wife 9500 per month or 1,15,000 per year with kids somewhere around 12k per month or 1,50,000 per year
Thanks Darren, I’m 23, I make around 225K a year right now and I’ve always wondered if I made enough to move to LA I’ve been wanting to move there for awhile and i’m confident it has that boom I need
As someone who lives in Venice beach I don’t see any evidence this cat knows what he’s talking about. Clearly a single dude describing his life, not applicable to anyone else
I make $300K and own property. I’m a little baby rich on paper. The taxes and other made up fees is the killer. You either need to make good money or have more than one “good” jobs.
I live in LA. Love it here.
love to hear that
$400 a month on groceries … yeah maybe if you eat beans and rice … more like $600 plus
Love visiting LA, but I could never make the math work to make it worth moving there.

If you are new to LA, do not waste money moving to Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, West Hollywood or Hollywood especially if you already have a car.

Just you
I think there’s a heck of a lot of overestimating here! I get it, but a veggie burrito at chipotle is $11
i wish i was vegan
Where you need to work to earn 5800$ and save money ? So what job offers you for example 7000/8000$ per month?
Moving back to LA in 2025. I enjoy watching your videos. :)
Welcome back Marcy 👏🏼
Basically someone needs to make 100k a year to live this 6k a month lifestyle and save no money 😂
Ha so true! I have apps to pay my parking tickets!
