I stayed in an Airbnb in Compton last year and it appeared very safe to me..... there was a kind of "car street party" not too far away though... quite unusual :)
Personal favorites as an LA native are Westchester, El Segundo & Manhattan Beach. PV I wouldn’t recommend due to the recent landslide destruction so who knows what’s gonna become of the residents there.
"it's not too bad on the 405" ?? also you need to take the hills into account. I live in La Crescenta and it looks like Burbank is close but there's no easy way to get there.
Hello Matt! thanks for the video! Im also a realtor, here in texas! but I'd like to make the move to Los Angeles. (I was born there, but never lived there) Where are the areas where the music industry is located? Since I'd like to pursue music. Thank you Matt!
Woodland Hills is great, especially the Topanga side. Great schools and shops, Note please note LA has lots of micro climates - the "valley" including Woodland hills can be 20deg hotter than the west side.
Any reason you didn’t recommend any of the hills? Some parts of laurel canyon are on the cheaper side. I’m looking to rent for a year and pick a neighborhood to buy in. The idea of sitting on the porch watching the view seems so lovely
You completely forgot to mention the active oils fields in midst of urban core. Culver City to this day has the Inglewood Oil Field active. Also watch out for badly plugged oil wells, they could get combustible.
If you don’t have at least a million dollar budget you’ll be living in a neighborhood that isn’t exactly nice or safe. I’ve lived in California my whole life and LA area has gotten bad. There are nice areas but you’ll need a lot of money. Also better not mind the homeless, trash and human feces on the sidewalks if you work anywhere near downtown.
To anybody watching this video, do not be discouraged to visit south LA and east LA (east side). This is the side of LA that I have always known, and yes it may have its flaws, but they are composed of diverse and lively communities. As an LA native, you are more likely to get robbed in Santa Monica, West Hollywood, Hollywood Blvd, etc, than in these communities (just saying lol). These communities offer much more than cheaper living options. Like I said, they’re home to diverse communities with Latino/Hispanic, Asian, African-American/ Black owned business and families. Explore LA!!!
I highly recommend not moving to LA. All that glitters isn't gold. Living here is a nightmare of an urban dystopia for the average not wealthy person. This isn't the Los Angeles of the 80's or 90's. Huge economic disparity, high cost of living, homelessness, superficial AF people, broken dreams. LA is like a narcissistic lover who initially draws you in with a false front, but when the mask falls off, watch out.

Hi Mario. I'd look at Los Feliz, Silver Lake, Highland Park.

thanks for this!
Reaching 120 degrees Woodland Hills holds the record for the hottest neighborhood in the Los Angeles City proper m

Thank you for making this! It came out at a perfect time I am considering moving there.
happy to help if you ever need it
What about Inglewood or Hawthorne places ? Are those good places enough to live, maybe with a middle budget ?
Yes for sure

Thanks. Might be moving to LA in a few weeks for work and Im coming from a city with great public transportation and Im really afraid of traffic
if you're not living in the actual city of la or long beach, the public transportation is really bad.
just listed all the super white places
Fr, I was hoping to learn about family-friendly areas with more Black/Hispanic/Asian people!

1.5 mill? Sure, ok, let me get my lotto ticket and I'll get down there ASAP?🤣😅😂
Basically, he saying don’t go to South Central because it’s black and brown.
Another video to talk about San Gabriel Valley cities?
No.
Not mentioning Santa Clarita is criminal and gets a downvote from me.
