Most of LA's problems are due to regulations , everyone votes blue yet it only has gotten worse

The biggest pro of LA is also it's biggest con: the size. Any city that size is going to become a great city for some and a dumpster fire for others. It's impossible to be a near perfect place when it starts to grow as a metropolitan area to mesh with 5-6 other cities, just look at New York or Chicago

Thx Darren, your details are always awesome! When I moved to LA for my job I relocated to VN (very close to where you dropped the pin on SW) from HW after a year and a half. My rent was cut ½ and the temperature was hot hotter hottest! I would have to give it a mixed review! Definitely an alternative. Also VNHS has some good charter programs. After that "experience" I relocated to North Hills which is way way and way more peaceful, less traffic and more predictable drivers! If you live in the valley, the Van Nuys Flyaway shuttle to LAX is the best ever!!!

Great video, Darren! I live in San Pedro and we love it here. Regarding El Segundo, there are quite a few beaches much closer than Cabrillo, which is approximately 10 miles away in San Pedro’s Point Fermin neighborhood a few yards from the aquarium. Cabrillo Beach is well known for its windsurfing, SUP, sailing, fishing and so much more… it’s a gem- shhhh…

I used to live in the Woodland Hills area 10+ yrs ago, i love that area a lot. Their schools are great. I really thought i was gonna live there someday. Such a chill area.

woodland hills has got to be on my top 5 neighborhoods to live. The place has it all, a bustling friendly community, all the amenities you could ever want and close to everything. awesome place.

Mt Washington seems great. For me it's all about the views mixed with lots of nature and mountains. Still can't get over Laurel Canyon from when I last visited LA. If you had unlimited money, what would be the area you'd like to live in Darren? What's your favourite spot in LA?

These are great areas. Can you do a map tour of some areas that no realtor channel like yours ever discuss like Van Nuys. Why do all realtor channels like this ignore Van Nuys, Mission Hills, Panarama city you know the middle portion of the valley. Yes I know they’re middle working class and not as click worthy for TH-cam but Van Nuys has some nice pockets of nice house like just south of Victory near the 405. Do some videos in Van Nuys Darren, perhaps tour a home here in this channel too.

It's exterior is pretty, but the inside looks cheap as h*ll. No offense, but this home looks like a flip where I'm from. NO diss on the guy presenting it, he seems cool and he's working with what is expected for that amount in that area. Crazy how expensive LA County is though.

I live in Melbourne, Australia and I pay more than that in EVERY category, even if I calculate in USD. And I live alone and rent. And here I was thinking LA was expensive. It is NOT.

I ate at Los Toros when they first opened. It was a small shack with a picnic table that customers shared to dine. My favorite place!!! Second favorite is Follow Your Heart!!! They are building 3 million dollar homes right next to Rocketdyne?? Oh my!!!!
