Hey there please help me with ma question. Thanks in advance. How SAFE Is Miami from Gators and other reptiles on a daily basis ❓ I mean in outskirts and residential houses 👀
I've been traveling to Miami and Miami Beach quite often since 2017. If you decide to eat out all the time, in higher end establishments, any city is expensive. Same is true for going out to bars, clubs, event venues, renting boats, etc. It's interesting that you don't talk about groceries, where to find local ingredients, or learning how to cook. There are many local markets and also options for lunch and/or breakfast that are reasonable. Also, there are many local places I've found that have great food, but aren't considered "high end" restaurants. There are also many health & fitness clubs, yoga and pilates on the beach, and all kinds of activities like that like biking, running, etc. that are inexpensive. I like the parts where you talk about different neighborhoods like Brickell. Coral Gables, Miami Beach, Little Havana, Coconut Grove etc. since these are all in the Miami area, and each area has a unique feel. Miami is a great place !
Yes this is all true, thanks for sharing! 😊 There are indeed inexpensive food options but you just have to search well. We did a video already on the cost of living in Miami where we talked about groceries and such, you can watch it here if you’re interested: th-cam.com/video/nqwwdD80a-Y/w-d-xo.htmlsi=CHbhBheSwrfXXG9M
Visited Miami several times and it gets better and more beautiful each time, the overwhelming healthy lifestyle, the weather, the vibe is intoxicating, it's certainly worth the cost of living there and I'm moving to Miami within the next 2 years...
I live in Charlotte but I go to Miami a couple of times per year to visit my good friend. While it's a cool place to be for a week or two, I would never live there because it's just not my vibe. Too many tourists, all the food spots are overcrowded and expensive, the majority of population speaks a language other than English, looks like everyone is trying to show off which makes it seem like Miami people are fake. Too hot, too humid, drivers are crazy, someone would cut me off there every day. Many people are rude, there is no southern hospitality like in Charlotte. Tropical rains, constant floods also make it hard to live I'm Miami. No free parking and so on and so forth...
I love Miami. Brickel is a bit of a concrete jungle for me as I prefer more of a beach lifestyle. The real estate to buy in South Beach is not great. A lot of buildings are older and I think living there day to day with all of the tourists would be a bit much. I have a friend who bought a house in West Palm Beach 3 years ago and have visited him many times. West Palm and Palm Beach island have a great restaurant scene and fun places to go out in the evening for cocktails. It's more refined but a bit quieter than the constant action of Miami. I like both and choosing one place to buy a second home is a tough decision. I can't decide on a location.
@@itsnicewithyou I like to stay at the AKA Hotel in West Palm. Its right in City Place so walkable to both the Square and Clematis Street. It's a hotel but they are hotel apartments. It was just built 2 years ago so it's new and beautiful. I love breakfast at the Ben Hotel and later you can go to the rooftop restaurant and bar called Spruzzo. Gorgeous views. In West Palm I love Harrys and Felice for dinner. Also, across the street from the Ben Hotel there is Elisabettas which is an italian restaurant and the roof is great views, sofas and cocktails for after dinner called Bar Capri. All great options and walkable from the AKA hotel. For exercise, you can walk/run/bike from the hotel over the bridge onto PB island. There is a walk way all along the intercoastal on the PB side that has gorgeous views. I also like to walk straight over the bridge onto the island until you hit Ocean Avenue, turn right and do a loop down Worth Avenue. I would visit the Colony Hotel and the Breakers - both iconic and great food and cocktails. I love afternoon gelato at Sant Ambroeus and dinner at Le Bilboquet. Both of those restaurants are staples in NYC, the Hamptons and Palm Beach.
My 22 years old son recently college graduate has been living in Miami Brickell for the past six months and it is VERY EXPENSIVE. He is making 240K/yr in finance, but he does not have much money left after rent, food, going with friends, bars, etc... Lots of fake rich instagram and influencers in Miami when I stayed with my son for three months recently. Definitely NOT worth it. I can get the same thing in Da Nang Vietnam for 30% of the cost. YMMV.
I watched this video to try and understand why you should live in miami and I wasnt convinced then at the end you say you guys are leaving miami haha I was in midtown for 3 months and it was fun but I dont get the hype. The only reason you should really live in these high ends cities like miami or nyc is if your going to meet people that will change the trajectory of your life financially because those are the places where the wealthy live. I spent 6 months in south america and everything miami offers you can get it in places like medellin, santo domingo, etc. for 1/4 of the costs and its the same if not better, its just harder to find higher quality people but they are still there for sure.
It’s a great city if you’re young and want to meet people but I don’t see anyone living here long term. We’d be curious to explore other cities like the ones you mention!
Miami is pretty different from other places in Florida. There are nice/upscale pockets but definitely not everything is good! Where would you consider moving?
Love Miami but would never live there the amount of people who think their shit don’t stink and materialistic hive minds make it unattractive plus that hot humid weather all year long gets repetitive and annoying after a while and that’s not even considering the hurricanes. There’s a bunch of places that look like Miami all over the world for a quarter of the price so no it’s not worth it.
@itsnicewithyou haha nice! I have some friends in Brickell/Miami that I want to visit. It will be my first time but I have not decided when I will go. Do you know when its the best time to go? I don't do clubs per se
@@itsnicewithyou Thank you! And tbh those months are perfect for me because during the summer and around september i will be in Morocco. Thanks for answering my question! I will also subscribe and check for more vids!
@@itsnicewithyou Seriously, that's awesome! I'm happy for you, so long as the lifestyle is one that floats your boat (which I have every reason to assume is the case). I am however not qualified to assess whether or not this expertise of yours can be grafted onto the dispensal of sound spending advice to others. But as someone who resides just up north of the 47th parallel, I would assume it can.
"Living in Miami?" How about property tax rates, electricity, water, sewer, sales tax, and costs of actually living somewhere, not your analysis of entertainment costs.

@@itsnicewithyou I watched the entire video, not much helpful specifics. Too focused on non-essentials like access to beach chairs, come'on, mostly useless insights on entertainment, not residing.

Miami scam town with foreign buyers old condos with just beach and humidity. Also too many Latins like living in Columbia.
Lots of great information. Love Miami- Brickell! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video 😊
"Too expensive" is a relative term. Nothing is too expensive it's just more expensive than we want and many can't qualify to purchase here.

as always, best wishes and we're already anticipating the next ones 🥰❤

Licensed insurance agent here. And the cost of auto and home insurance in south Florida is just crazy!!! That alone would deter me from living there.

No but Miami was not in the path of any of the hurricanes this year!
