This one turned out much better than the lines on the wall project. One suggestion, switch the top drawer with the middle drawer to break up the pattern between the second and third drawers. 👍
Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. But I kept going, all tools needed to assemble were included th-cam.com/users/postUgkxqtX4Dxs6aecAZEuz6GY5-d81YecKCshn and I had it set up in about 30 minutes. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.
I really like how you separated nailed it and dI wives. I love nailed it not because you always succeed but because you guys had such awesome connection.DI wives is not my favorite because it doesn’t necessarily have that fun connection but I’m ok with it
My mom and I did a similar thing to my sister’s chest drawers. Contact paper on the drawer fronts, a pretty duct tape in between, and then on top of the contact paper a pretty Disney Castle decal that came in multiple pieces for putting on a wall. It’s a really great way to make a blah piece of furniture look great. My only sadness is you guys doing it to a Midcentury Modern piece!

They actually exist! Some are even made out of toilet paper! There are really nice looking bridal dresses. But I don't want to inspire anyone to waste toilet paper! It's 2020!
Hey Monica!! Love your DIY's!! I need a recommendation for a hand sander. The one that I have is a million years old too heavy, guy breaks my arm off, dust goes everywhere, and it goes through single sheets of sandpaper in the matter of seconds. It used to be my dad's.
I would have different ideas for this piece. I love the paint, not the "wall paper." Putting knobs on drawers would be nice. And then you said you bought it for $100.00, that's out of my price range. Love your other Holdermess videos though!! ❤
Last time someone wielded a screwdriver to dislodge something it slipped and stabbed my thumb, and the first two squirts of blood went 3 yards! 😂 The moral of this story? The guy who stabbed me was our intern and now my best friend. So people who stab you can become true awesome friend 😂 I just keep clear when he wields a screwdriver. The funniest thing was I shouted, he went pale white seeing the first two squirts. Being all apologetic and I was like: “uhm I think I need a bandaid 🩹 I’m dripping all over the servers and network switch 😂” So we come to our customer’s reception and we ask if they have bandaids. She sees the bloody mess on my hand and she starts to get dizzy and says you need a doctor.” -“Naah I’m fine” And I was!!! But every Xmas it comes up, it’s been 15 or so years but it’s still a staple.

Hey guys, I see that in the intro to this series you’re using the word “lame” to me undesirable, uninteresting, etc. I want to take a moment to 1)ask you to remove it and 2)educate you on why it’s harmful Language is important and it influences our beliefs about ourselves and others. The word “lame” originated as a way to explain some who is a wheelchair user and non-ambulatory (can’t walk independently). When we use words like lame, dumb, stupid, etc to describe things that are undesirable or less worthy or less important we are 1)expressing the way that institutionalized ableism has already influenced our thinking and 2)increasing ableism by subconsciously connecting disabilities and negative connotations, so it’s saying that being “lame”,non-ambulatory, is negative and people who are “lame” (non-ambulatory) are undesirable and to be avoided. Changing language is part of confronting all of our internalized ableism and choosing to be anti-ableist. I KNOW that it’s 100% not your intention but that’s exactly why I wanted to explain why it’s harmful, because I believe that if you understand then you’ll make the change.

Lastly, critiquing me for offering compassionate education on a subject that I am sure they have not had to think about before is not only inappropriate but ableist in itself because you are saying that abled people shouldn’t have to learn how to be better people and better allies. I upcycled a dresser into an entertainment center. You ladies did a good job. I like the wallpaper idea.

Tip. I used that type of wall paper, in hot weather it can start to peel. Use extra overhang and staple it to keep the adhesive from failing.
