Linda Raynier I find it VERY HELPFUL. When I was a begginer, meaning a New Graduate in College. Made A LOT of mistakes... (lot s to tell, hehe). I realize my mistakes. I told myself I should have done this, say that instead of that. Even the English fluency is an issue too. :-) Thank God. I incidentally got a copy of a news paper with advices on Job Interviews (I still have ot after years). Advices from a manager and intervier himself. Mentioning the "how" or what you may say. In probably the Logest interview I ever had I mentioned lots of what I did as a Leader. I believe she was impressed. though I did not pursue on the next job interview... I will share this on my FB. Lots of students graduated in the Philippines. One VERY IMPORTANT thing an interviewee should learn is "First Impression Last". I receive some complements on that in their interviews. "I Like you!" the boss said. this and that. To single out your tips it is all about "IMPRESSION". right?!?
Having the RIGHT Personality is SO KEY and PRACTICING to make it Perfect - its what Im doing NOW - Thank You so much your videos have been INCREDIBLY Helpful
I think i have faced this problem, coz i don't know the competition. I haven't really freaked out during recent interviews but they just didn't think i was good engh = = coz I have a quiet demeanour
00:14 - Understand the pain and how to solve it. 01:06 - Show the right demeanour. 02:35 - Tell stories. 03:08 - Sell yourself. 03:48 - Be confidently you.
Some of the greatest actors are introverts. Become an actor when needed. Practice, practice and practice in front of a mirror your interview conversations, become comfortable in your own skin. What do you have to loose?
I’m an introvert too but I land jobs very easily. What worked for me was practicing questions in front of a mirror or out loud in the car. Get used to the sound of your own voice and you will feel more comfortable talking about yourself.
@@exceptionalchris If your butt hole really looks like her, then Mr. you have better not drop that bar of soap in the shower in the men's locker room...just saying.
These tips are so TRUE. Telling stories about your experience helps the interviewer to picture what it would be like to work with you, and also comes off so much more authentic than saying "I'm a hard worker" or "I'm detail oriented" (the "show don't tell" principal). Love it, thanks Linda.
Hi Linda, I rarely even leave comments on TH-cam videos. Heck I don't even remember leaving a comment before. But thank you for these videos. They were so helpful. I was previously unable to land myself any offers despite being shortlisted for multiple interviews. However after (binge) watching all your videos, I gained much self confidence and understood more about these interview skills. These videos are so easy to watch & I really appreciate your videos. 😊 I have landed myself some offers... so Thank you. To everyone else, all the best! Remember your value, and remember to stay positive!
THANK YOU SO MUCH, LINDA! i got the best job offer ever so far in my life! I followed all your advice! I was feeling sooo down for the past months but with your help, I managed to give my best shot in the interviews I had! I can't thank you enough!!!! You are truly a blessing 💗
Job seeking is kriptonite for introverts for the reasons you mentioned it does not matter that we have the credentials and the technical skills, fortunatelly I found the tips and now I will handle better my future interviews
Happy to share that I used this video to help me with my interview anxiety and I GOT THE JOB! I was offered the job about 30 minutes after my interview. These tips were GOLDEN. The Hiring Manager even told me it was my confidence that helped them make their final decision. Thank you so much Linda!
-Understand what they need and tell them how you can resolve it. -great demeanor -tell stories be engaging -sell yo self! Not a Q&A -confidence comes from self-awareness (BE NATURAL!!)
I believe presenting yourself as a brand, really goes very far. It's not only elevates confidence in the job seekers, but also acts as an equalizer between employer and job seeker.
Thank you so much or your help, I watched your videos and I was hired a few hours after my interview. I'm so excited because this is my first corporate job after college.
I really need to thank you! I had to quit my previous job and saw your videos repetively like a mantra. Whithin a week I was offered a job offer an hour after the interview!
Linda, I've been watching your videos throughout the past weeks. It's such an exhausting process to interview with several companies at a time but your videos remind me to keep going and have a good mindset throughout. I just want to tell you that because of these tips I got a job offer today.
1:25 I've met too many people who managed to get jobs this way and then turned out to be incompetent, lazy, unprofessional, or even mentally or emotionally unstable. Unfortunately, the American hiring system tends to focus too much on superficial traits like charm or whether this person can help them fill a diversity quota rather than getting people who can actually do the job well. A lot of places won't even check references. It becomes all about the interview, but most people put on their best face for the interview, even though it may not reflect their actual performance or attitude on the job. In the end, this is why there are so many incompetent or woefully underqualified people in the workforce. Personally, while I wouldn't hire an arrogant jerk just because they have a lot of skills, I would also NEVER hire someone who is obviously underqualified, no matter how charming they were.
Hi, Linda, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you. The interview video clips you posted here gave me a huge help on talking with confidence, organizing my speech logic, using proper words and tones, and so on. Have to say, your videos are amazing! Thank you a lot. Hope others can also benefit from your work here. All the best to you.
I tend to be really observant and I may not consciously smile a lot but I am a hard thinker so I tend to have that 'hard thinker' look w/out always knowing it. Anti-social always gets a bad rep but there may be a real gem under the façade. :(
J Cor I'm not like that, I lack a lot of skills but I'm personable. And honestly I agree with you... A lot of antisocial people are very kind or very rational. It feels bad to think I might get something over someone who worked harder and IS a better fit because I have a nice smile and a strong first impression.
Crimson Lotus, I think you have "antisocial" confused with "introverted." Introverted people are quiet but usually kinder and more rational than average if you get to know them. An antisocial person is someone with some kind of severe character defect (for example, someone high in hostility or aggression) that makes normal interaction with them difficult. Otherwise, I agree with you. I've met a lot of people who have used charm to make up for the fact that they don't have the competence, temperament, or level of professionalism needed for a particular job.
If that personality trait is hindering you do something about it. Quiet or introverted people always claim they are observing. Observing what??? Relax, be personable and for heaven's sake smile. Just be pleasant and stop observing
I think I've been judged because I am a introvert. If I am comfortable I open up more. I am not the person who spills all my guts. I watch and listen before I engage. I have seen people that can be there way into positions, once they get the job, they are lazy. They sold themself, but they don't have a work ethic.
I love your videos. They have helped me so much. Thank you for uploading them. I love your channel. I used all of your tips and everything and nailed the interview I had today with them and even impressed the hiring managers. Thank you so much
I’m thankful that I was able to click some of your videos about being “shy” and some tips on how to answer interviews. You explained clearly and direct to the point, thank you so much and GOD BLESS!!!
I love the pain point approach! All jobs are open for a reason - it’s on the candidate to describe how they can fix the current problems the company is facing 👍🏽
Hi Linda, I came across your channel because I'm preparing myself to look for a job after a maternity pause of 4 years. Your advice is amazing and I'm watching all your videos and even checked your Vlog :)) Thanks very much for the information you share, keep up the good job.
Great video Linda! I've been following you since you had a few followers and I can see the numbers growing. You're doing a great job. Thank you so much for your tips, I am trying to use them in my job interviews, so I hope I can land my dream job soon! Keep it up! :)
Thank you so much. Great tips. So many job interviews tomorrow and I have an online interview that is recorded responses. This was one of my sample questions so I'm sure this will be a real question.
Wow! I've been looking for help with interviewing and your videos have been the most helpful. I like how you share what not to do and then you break the steps on what to do. Thank you so much!!!
So heres how I ask point number one, which i also found on TH-cam “ in 6-12 months, what do you need from a successful candidate?” The reason its a good question is that employers will tell me an entirely different story about what they want from what they told me before in the job description, in some cases to the point where i no longer wanted the job!
Tip #2 is a little bit subjective because the context can be a little different. For example, I was told a lot of times how my confidence and speaking skills were excellent but because I had low technical skills I was refused... but that may be because I am applying for a Junior Developer role and in there they might put more accent on technical skills rather than social skills. Does it depend on the role?
Linda thank you for the tips. It has been so so long since I have had to interview and I just freeze up. Practice helps but your videos have given me a lot of great information!
How to make interviewers see you as the right fit for the job // please let me know what tip works for you?
I needed this information. In addition, you are absolutely gorgeous. I love getting your advice. THANKS!

These should be added to the seek bar.
As an introvert, I still can’t managed to sell myself. I find it really challenging on doing things that other people can do it easily. :(
Jamie C. YW can relate.. and hiring managers always ask me whether im an introvert and i guess it shows 🤷🏻♀️

Write a script for some of the faqs in interviews. Practice it so you don’t feel put on the spot during the interview. Writing is formalized thinking.
Just remember to on give a crap and be happy. Be you.

I watched this a day before my final interview and the day after, I got the job offer. Thank you Linda for this advise God Bless 😊
congratulations 🎉
Nice! How's the job treating? I'm looking at changing jobs

So basically, you give an example of hard work.
I really like this term "understand their pain" - that puts so much more power into the hands of the candidate!
