    1. Know what the employer is looking for before the interview
    2. Have lots of relevant stories
    3. Answer concisely
    4. Explain your value relative to employer's pain points
    5. Practice answers in front of mirror

Another tip is to record yourself answering questions. I learned this from while working as a corporate trainer. It’s tough to listen to your own voice sometimes, but you will hear for yourself whether you sound confident, clear and concise and will be able to make adjustments as needed. Good luck on the job search folks!

I’m an introvert that often struggles with confidence and being at ease in certain situations. Especially during interviews because I feel I’m being scrutinized closely. So I appreciate how well you explained the tips today. Thanks Linda. 👍

      That's social anxiety, not introversion.

Great tips. I love the 4th tip especially, about focusing on how you can help the other person. It helps the interviewer see you as someone who would have the interest of their business. Who wouldn't want that kind of person to be a part of their team?

I’m such a confident person in my day to day, but I’m not use to bragging (conveying my valuable experiences ). You are right! Treat it as a way to help.

Wow, this video is super helpful. I over analyze and criticize myself too much when in the interview which leads to me rumbling. Thank you for helping put some things in perspective and how to approach the interviewer.

Hello Linda! Your tips are amazing and the most realistic I have heard in a while about interviews! However, what you and most TH-cam channels miss in this aspect is the fact that these tips alone should also be followed by either examples or practical approaches. For example, "Have lots of relevant stories" - How? or "explain your value relative to employer's pain points" - How?. These are the kind of things that should be included into every advice video to make the advice more accurate. Just advising, but I seriously love your channel and your advises are the closest to resonate with my brain but still don't hit home! Thank you very much! :)

Hello Linda, do you have any video where you display an example of how does a person LOOK when interviewing the right way? That would benefit me because when I practice in the mirror, I couldn't figure out if the way I come across or look at people is the correct way. Thank you and I love your channel! :)

    Hi Linda,
I am very grateful to find you as I am going for an interview after longtime. I would like to ask you as I couldn't find the video for this particular question, when the employer advertised for Accounts assistant position for X amount of salary then they finds out I can offer more than the positions advertised then they ask at the interview as you can do this job and that job little list...
how can the I tell them, yes I can do within the given time (9 to 5) what about the pay rise? They can't expect to pay lower and ask to do more particularlyat the interview?....please let me know have you done any video for it?
    Regards

How we can Sol... question about Communication interview skill?

  • @seekknowledge2010
    @seekknowledge2010 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

When the right terminologies, ideas, do not come in mind immediately it is hard to do well in an interview.
When technical interviewers just printout technical question from Google and ask questions and counter questions it is hard to answer.
When English is not your mother tongue and struggle to make sentences it is hard
Doing technical job is one thing and answering questions articulately is another thing.
American education system hardly requires memorizations since most exams are either true false and multiple choice but when we join work force your technical interviewers require you to answers questions in few passages. It can be very challenging to answers when your struggles just to speak English clearly. It is very frustrating.
