I think for tip #6, I would say to always be professional. But unfortunately, most jobs want you to be too sweet due to their customer service reputation. Such as conversing with clients/customers on how their day is or what they did. I had a toxic job where I was scolded because I didn't have full conversations with guests. I had a cashier at Harris Teeter who was overly sweet and rambled about Marvel movies to my husband. Which made the checking out process awkward and uncomfortable.

Thanks for your advices Linda. But let me tell you one thing which avoids people to get jobs here in the border zone: Age. If you are 40 years old you are not considered for vacancies, even if you have 'all the experience' and qualifications, you can go thru some interviews, but you know that is just to fulfill the recruitement Process requisite of the HR Department. This could be a good topic for a video. Regards

What I mean is in the past 10 years it has made me Rough around the edges and a straight forward cut throat person. So with this change I’m a bit nervous and excited at the same time ! So I’m here to learn everything to help me be Successful in my new beginning.
Hi linda, I'm on my second week at my new job. These tips are great and I watched your video this morning. At the end of the day today, my boss talked to me about how I'm not learning fast enough or progressing like he wants me to. He basically wants me to be up to speed as the employee who is leaving soon and who has been here for 3 years. This came as a shock to me because I am doing the absolute best that I can or I feel like because I'm asking a lot of questions. I'm a little bit bummed out and slightly bitter. Can you tell me how to handle criticism as a new employee or how to handle criticism in general at the work place?
You said, "I'm a nice person, I think." I love your humility here! Love your personalized-style advice. I just started my career coaching business for college juniors and seniors; I can't wait for your next video!

I just subscribed , I will definitely be using your advice and tips on how to better myself in every aspect in my life from here on out. I just got a new job in a new field of work and I’m super nervous! For a few reasons , one I’m going from warehouse work to assistant manager. 2 working in warehouse or distribution has took a toll on my Communication skills . What I mean is in the past 10 years it has made me Rough around the edges and a straight forward cut throat person. So with this change I’m a bit nervous and excited at the same time ! So I’m here to learn everything to help me be Successful in my new beginning.

Just Thank you Thank you...

Ty linda...ive viewed a lot of your vids before my job interview. Thanks for the tips!
Thank you for the video, it was very well made.
I will be sure to meet everyone around me - that is very good advice as it can feel awkward if you put it off for too long. I also tend toward the too sweet point and can see how that can degrade on the respect others have for me.
what if you are not capable to do what you're assigned to?
_@Stella Keziah,_ *I don’t know, maybe prepare a resignation letter? ✌️😂*
Being jobless for three years and had a job which salary was too low . couldn't continue so I became jobless again unfortunately.I have had many job interviews and I did not get any job for reasons I don't know .I hope your video will help
