I lack confidence in speaking. I have all the right answers in my mind, but I can't get them out of my mouth with a good flow. I don't know how to fix this.
I'm in the same situation as like you. I'm not an English native, but i need to have an English interview which left just 14 hours. I have a suggestion that make a script of 3 or 5 questions and try to read it for 100 times. Then you would be confident. I used it whenever i had to deliver a speech at the current work. Good luck!

In the space of three weeks, I was offered three jobs and I accepted one job with a membership body so thank you for sharing this message. I was unemployed for 3 months and it was getting me down. It's hard to 'predict' the questions and I think that's unreasonable to try to keep stories in mind for the questions that you THINK they will ask. They will always ask different questions and you will look unprepared anyway since the stories that you 'prepared for the prediction' will most likely not be what they are asking! I can never think of any stories at the BEST of times! :(
The thing is that confidence will be there during your interview. You might be brushing threw questions after questions and still remain perfect but then comes a very difficult behavioral questions that shakes up your confidence. One thing I learned is that they are always trying to break you and say something negative.

I think the most valuable thing you said that is really going to help me is getting to persuade them. I didn't realize it, but it is definitely the best time to show off everything I've learned and succeeded in my past experiences and jobs. I am still feeling nervous about my panel interview, but now I know that I shouldn't be afraid to speak up about the positives I've done.

There are tons of videos on interview tips but this video seems more effective and digestable. There is calmness in your presentation and speech. As much as the substance or practical advice is key, I think the approach and method of delivery is equally important.

I had an interview this morning on the phone. With 18 yrs experience, a master's, and all of the qualifications they were looking for, I completely froze up. I prepared for days. I couldn't think of the words that I needed to say, much less put an intelligent sentence together. I was mortified, and I'm still so embarrassed. I don't know how or why that happened, but the fact that I've been looking for so long + financial pressures of loosing everything makes it feel nearly impossible to "sell my value" in just a few minutes.

Like the idea of categorizing stories. Great idea for behavioral interviews. You'll never foresee all behavioral questions, but odds are good they can be lumped into a category.
