I'm 29 and though I missed out on a lot of old school rock and metal I've been hellbent on making sure I've made up for lost time and research all the music and bands I missed. Always been around the big classics though like Europe and Scorpions and all those radio hits from back in the day. It's in recent years though that I've discovered amazing bands/artists like Dokken, Dio, Steelheart etc. George Lynch and John Norum are some of my favorite guitarists and it's funny both used to play in Dokken. There's just something especially about the 80's that bring a lot of joy and nostalgia even though I was never around haha. You have those cheesy but lovely, heartfelt ballads and those kickass heavy metal tracks that melt your face off. It's all in one.
