Now you are in my world? 😂 Steve Perry, lead singer known as “The Voice” because he was known for having perfect pitch. He has a unique voice too, there is no doubt it is Steve Perry when you hear him. He is remarkable but so is the band. And GREAT songs. So MANY you should experience! Don’t Stop Believin, Faithfully, Separate Ways, Open Arms, Any way you want it, Who’s cryin now, Lovin Touchin Squeezin, Mother Father and SO many more. So many. ❤️
You should react to more Journey. Steve Perry is known as "the voice". He's truly incredible live. I saw Journey 4 times live in the 80's. I recommend "Mother, Father" (live in Houston), "Lights", "Open Arms", "Don't Stop Believing", "Loving, Touching, Squeezing", "Who's Crying Now", "Faithfully", "Patiently"....I can go on and on!
Loved your reaction. This band was my first concert at 12 in Seattle, WA… The Escape Tour, 1982. Steve and the whole band never disappoint. Please do more! All my love. 💕💜💕
Steve Perry had/has a phenomenal voice. He and Journey are Icons! I belt their songs out every time I hear them. Great stories, great lyrics and music! You may have missed out timing wise, but you can get on the band wagon now. Steve is still recording and releasing music now.
There is only one - Steve Perry and he is called " The Voice " for a reason. he was even better live then on the albums. you should check out the bands - Live in Houston 1981 concert. truly amazing performance.
Hey Toby, If u havent heard them u have def missed out. Saw them live in 79 and 82 and Steve is renowned for his countertenor vocal range and the same live as recorded, just phenomenal...Dubbed "The Voice" In the Top “100 Greatest Singers of All Time” Steve Perry is a countertenor who sings in the range of a high tenor to a solid alto. Among the few tenor altinos, he is considered to be incomparable due to his incredibly rare countertenor voice. Cant Thank u enough for this awesome reaction. U def want to ck out "Mother Father" Every song they have done is amazing. Thanx for the memories, Peace
I'm so happy you educated Toby about how incredible and how rare Steve's countertenor altino voice range is, and how phenomenal a singer he is. It's sad younger generations didn't get to experience live what we did in the 70s and 80s. Steve Perry will always be the GOAT🎤🎶❤️🤩
If you like this masterpiece...the whole Infinity album from 1978 is amazing and timeless. Steve Perry is the lead vocalist. He’s truly “the VOICE”. You’re just getting started. I’ve been a major fan of the band for over 40 years. Happy deep-dive. You won’t regret it. Btw...hope you caught that stratospheric note Steve Perry hit during Neal Schon’s epic guitar solo. Amazing.🔥🔥🔥
This was an early one from when Steve just joined the group. Songs like "Girl Can't Help It" have a good funk bass (later years) and if you like a softer side "Good Morning Girl" (early years). Just about any song from the 80's is good... Jonathan Cain joined the group for keyboards and he did most of the song writing...."Can't stop Falling" has some of their best harmonies.
Thanks for the video PLEASE do more I think you will be a fan after you hear more Steve Perry 😀 is still going today with his solo career. Much love to you and your family 💕Brandi Modrak 💕❤
Meet Mr Steve Perry otherwise known as "The voice"! Surprisingly, he sounds just as good if not better live. Checkout Journey' s concert live in Houston `81. Journey definitely is a rabbit hole og great music and Steve Perry also has a solo career with plenty of great songs as well. The Infinity album is one of my favorites.
구독함 저니를 모르다니?? Keep listening to their other freaking great songs!!!! Don't Stop Believing, Faithfully, Wonder Who's Crying Now, Open Arms, and more!!!!
When ever a Journey song comes on whether at a store, at a restaurant, in the office youor the radio in your car...the world stops for me, no one talk to me because all I want to hear is Steve Perry's diamond countertenor altino voice, Neal Schon's guitar, Steve Smith 's drums, Jonathan Cain's piano, and Ross Vallory 's bass. I don't care what song it is because they're all amazing. This band has the most phenomenal chemistry, always pitch perfect, amazing harmonies, good looks and incredibly phenomenal performances we can watch over and over. This line up climbed to superstar status, due to Steve's incredible vocal range. I'm happy for the musicians that Arnel has allowed the band to Journey on. He's a kind, and humble guy who suffered terrible poverty at a young age. He has said Steve Perry is his idol, and would step aside if he ever wanted to come back to Journey. Steve may never return but I would love to see Steve and Neal join together for a live performance. I would die! Listen and react to When a Man Loves a Woman, Still They Ride, Faithfully, Lights, Something to Hide. Mother Father and Don't Stop Believing from their 1981 escape tour live in Houston.
Yes, 1981 Houston Live Concert is a must in order to see the incredible range of Steve Perry and guitarist Neal Schon; Mother, Father is a great one for doing just that.👍👍
This is the song and album that introduced us all to them. Infinity is the name of the album. Now you need to go through the rabbit hole. You will not be disappointed 👍🏻😎
Listen too... To late, City of the Angel's, Felling That way, Anytime, Daydream, Don't Stop Believing, Who's Crying Now, Do you recall, Sweet And Simple, Still they Ride, Lay It down, lights, I do anything, You Got To Listen To Mother Farther Live in Houston TX 1981 concert.!!!
If you like that you HAVE TO check out Journey's Mother Father, 1981 Houston tour & from the same tour Dead or Alive!!! Being a guitarist you'll really appreciate both!! Since you enjoyed & want to check out more Journey, another tour that's fantastic is 1980 Osaka Japan (ewelord vid 22 songs is the best on YT), People & Places, Precious Time (both under rated) but then gets to Dixie Hwy, Homemade Love forward takes on a bluesy feel! Spectacular, live unfiltered, no auto tune just pure talent!! Enjoy, cheers
I think that I detect a German accent, but your English is perfect, more than I can say for my German. (Ich bin erstaunt, dass es Leute gibt, die noch nie von der Band Journey gehört haben. My German is not good, so I should stick with English.) I played music from the late 60's, 70's and early 80's in my house, so my daughters grew up appreciating the songs which I love. They surprise their friends by mentioning or recognizing bands or performers from the past. Journey was an outstanding band and Steve Perry is inimitable, a truly remarkable talent, but the band continues, with new lead singer, Philippino Arnel Pineda, who sounds incredibly similar to Steve. They continue to tour, so we old people have an opportunity to enjoy them again, as I will in February of 2023. I hope that their concerts will attract young people and introduce them to truly great music, so that they can see what they've been missing.
Wheel In The Sky was track six on Infinity. The album opens with Lights / Feelin' That Way / Anytime, which may be the best three song string of 1978. The FM AOR D.J.s almost always played Feelin' That Way + Anytime back-to-back because of the super short gap on the tracks, making them feel like one song. It's a fantastic album, with Patiently being another stand out track.
I'm checking out all the reactions to this song on TH-cam, and seeing if any of the people reacting even notice Steve's Stellar high notes during the guitar solo, and so far nobody is even remarking about them.
Sigh, I knew this moment would come. Yeah, journey made some nice Pop-Rock songs (did I mention that Nemophila just published a fantastic cover of „Seperate Ways“?). Everybody, well at least Rock Fans, knows „Wheel In The Sky“, „Don’t Stop Believing“ or „Seperate Ways“. Well, that’s OK my friends, nothing wrong with it. BUT: There is one record that kills them all. It is their first album (1975) simply called „Journey“. Wikipedia says „Unlike their later recordings this is a jazzy progressive Rock album which focusses mainly on the bands instrumental talents“. Here we still hear that Carlos Santana had a strong influence on Neil Schon (and vice versa). Do you know Robin Trower? A guitar giant of the 70s - his legendary Album „Bridge of Sighs“ also had influence. This album wasn’t too successful but for real Rock Music fans it contains some of the best Rock Guitar songs written ever: „Once in a lifetime“, „Kohoutek“ snd „Topaz“. So all you Journey fans do yourself a really big favor and (if you don’t know it yet) listen to their first album.
More Classic Journey??? 'Who's Cryin' Now', has a GREAT solo guitar ending!! Which the producers said was too long and wanted the band to shorten it! Steve 'The Voice' Perry wasn't having it! After some back and forth there was an agreement to keep the solo in!! Other songs .......... 'Escape, Still They Ride, Chain Reaction, Edge Of The Blade, The Party's Over (I actually love the studio version), Message Of Love, Girl Can't Help It, Lights, Any Way You Want It, Ask The Lonely, When You Love A Woman, Separate Ways (studio version), Mother Father (studio version or live in Houston, Tx 1981), I'll Be Alright Without You, Why Can't This Night Go On Forever and I think that's about it for now! Enjoy some Classic Journey!!
I just followed through your work. Good one, and you cover a wide range of musical talents. Es gibts keine entschuldigung fũr Amira Willighagen nicht zu hõren :) Your English is far superior to my Deutch.
Steve Perry is the king of voice, you should listen to don't stop believing, still they ride, open arms, faithfully, lay it down. Steve Perry is the only human who can hit a G5 octave with his voice
Journey has a lot of great songs, but in my younger days they were so frequently played that I don't listen to them that often now. I don't think they are musically as creative as some other groups I enjoy more. Good songs, sure. :)
Yes they are great I saw them in 82 I was 17 they were the best around Steve was known as the VOICE !

@@theray1319 I hear you! Actually all Journey songs get me. Have they ever made a bad song? 🤔
Steve Perry…..amazing voice!!! Please check out more Journey , especially form Houston concert in “81” …
Don’t stop believing, was just selected to go into the Library of Congress music recording. Forget the correct full name of the Library entry.
Loved your reaction. This band was my first concert at 12 in Seattle, WA… The Escape Tour, 1982. Steve and the whole band never disappoint. Please do more! All my love. 💕💜💕

Please go down the rabbit hole with Journey but make sure it is with Steve Perry lead singer. Late 70’s 80’s and one album in the 90’s.
The guitarist Neil Sean I think I started when he was like 17 playing for Carlos Santana

Listen to Mother Father from same live show!
I think just about anything Journey sang was a great hit, they were on top of the music scene for the 70s, and 80s Steve Perry was the best ever
I just followed through your work. Good one, and you cover a wide range of musical talents.

Try Mother, Father live in Houston
Anything from Houston Live 1981!
Steve Perry best Vocalist EVER
Indeed 💯
try mother father from the 81 houston concert It will blow your mind
Steve Perry is the king of voice, you should listen to don't stop believing, still they ride, open arms, faithfully, lay it down. Steve Perry is the only human who can hit a G5 octave with his voice
Guitarist Neil Schon joined the Santana band at 15 yrs. old
Journey's biggest hair year.
PLEASE go down the Journey rabbit hole. MOTHER FATHER 1981 should be next.
'Like your style. Let's do some more videos. We'll give you some good suggestions. Anything else from Journey, Bob Seger, of course Led Zep!
Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Journey! There’s not one song from them you won’t like!
If you want to try a deep cut that shows off some talent check out their song Daydream.
P.S Have you been recommended Boston "More Than a Feeling" yet?
I know the song.great song! But can't really react to it because of that :-(
@@jokerreactions7077 I understand... how about Pride and Joy by Stevie Ray Vaughan?
Dude, you missed the intro to the song! Neal Schon brought this in epically, you need to hear the whole song🤘🤘
You can tell Neal Schon is a guitar wizard because he wears a robe.
Gotta check out some Dio
Journey has a lot of great songs, but in my younger days they were so frequently played that I don't listen to them that often now. I don't think they are musically as creative as some other groups I enjoy more. Good songs, sure. :)
Your missing a LOT!!!!!!
