The designs are sick!!!😍😍😍😍 Love your reactions!!😍🤩😍🤩 Next Journey "Lovin Touchin' Squeezin" plz 🔥🔥🔥
My wife always asked me why do I like watching reviews and I tell her it’s because they see somebody to discover music that was so great back when I was a kid and I see them discovering it for the first time it warms my heart because I know the music will never die then. Journey of the time is band the music is timeless it will be here long after I’m dead and gone my son is a huge Journey fan I turned him onto it when he was a little boy. This particular song and video was in 1981 in Houston Texas remember that night I was in junior high school what a great concert.
You will not be disappointed to see Mother, Father live in Houston. Or any other Journey or Steve Perry song for that matter! Keep enjoying Steve's voice!
Brother, it was so awesome growing up with this great music. This album dropped my senior year in high school. I go all the way back to the 70's with Journey. My favorite band of all time. So glad to see a young man discovering this great band.
If you haven't seen it yet, "Mother, Father" from this same concert is the penultimate piece of the entire show. You will be hard pressed to lift your jaw from off the floor from the last 20-30 seconds of the song, no cap. ✌😎
Just came on to wish you and your family a happy and safe Thanksgiving together. Didn't expect to see a giveaway. I'll leave that opportunity for others. But still want to thank you for your channel. I so appreciate the energy, insight, and values. God bless you richly, Devin! And now... on to rock with you and Journey! Always ready for more Steve Perry. Thanks, again.
Thankful you bring back to life the music I grew up with and remember , when I was captivated by the music for the first time. Many years ago. Very lucky to be in my HS years during that time! 🎶 🎸
I love your reactions. Journey is my favorite group ever. Steve Perry sounded sooooo good live, best concert of my life. That is true God given talent right there no auto tune. Many blessings to you and your family. Happy Thanksgiving
I absolutely love your never ending positivity!!! Such a joy watching these great songs through your “new” eyes… so thankful to have found your channel!!! Happy Turkey Day to you & yours!!! 🔥🔥🤘🥰🥰

Just throwing in a little FYI here about the meaning of this song. Steve said the inspiration comes from a time back in his youth. It was a hot summer day, so he went swimming where a lot of kids from school went. The water was cold because it flowed down from the mountains. He decided to warm himself up on a rock that had been heated up by the sun. While he was warming himself up on this big stone, he saw a girl from school that never even gave him the time of day. She was wearing cut-off blue jeans that were very revealing and she had a great tan. While sunning himself on the stone, he let his imagination wander. That's where the lines, "In the heat with a blue jean girl", "Stone in love", and "Golden girl, I'll keep you forever" came from. He meant he would keep her in his memory forever. That last one, "Golden girl, I'll keep you forever", Steve has said that has to be the best line ever. This is such an awesome song. Neal's guitar shines here as well as everything else. Such a perfectly orchestrated song. You have Jonathan on guitar with Neal and Steve playing the piano at the end. Wonderful! Steve also plays the drums, cowbell, and bass. So much talent in this band. Love them!!! I grew up with these guys. Thank you for keeping the music going. About 7 years ago, Steve lost the love of his live to breast cancer. Years back, I helped admin a Steve Perry facebook fan page. I am no longer on facebook, but I once posted a letter to Steve on his birthday thanking him for their timeless music. It can kind of give you an idea how I am thanking you for keeping it going. Steve, For your birthday, I give to you a “Thank you”, and a “Wish”. My “Thank you” is for all the gifts you have given us throughout the years. I was 10 when I first heard you sing; it was also the day I discovered K-SHE 95. My sister and I were laying on our bellies listening to our parent's AM station. Our dad told us to never touch the AM/FM switch because, “Bad things might happen.” Well, what happens when you tell a child to NOT do something? So...thinking it might explode, but not caring...we flipped it. Adjusting the tuner, we landed on St. Louis', K-SHE 95, Real Rock Radio station. What we heard coming out of that radio was so different from the bluegrass and country our parents had us listening to. It was like...receiving a gift you didn't know existed...a gift you neither knew you wanted, nor needed, until you opened it. Your voice was so unique that it was mesmerizing...and so, began...our lives as teenagers. Plastering our walls with Journey posters; screaming guitar pouring from our bedrooms; singing in the shower and knowing every word. Your voice permeated the house and insulted our parent's ears...”Thank you” for that. They were not pleased with our debauchery...”Thank you” for that. “Steve Perry” and “Journey” became '4-letter words' in our house; you had “corrupted” our parent's daughters...”Thank you” for that. ”Thank you” Steve for being there throughout our lives. ”Thank you” for helping us torment our parents the way children should. ”Thank you” for being there during our parties out on the back roads and down by the Mississippi River. ”Thank you” for making our bonfires during those cold nights feel warmer and burn brighter. ”Thank you” for making our beer taste so good. ”Thank you” for lifting our voices across the night sky as we screamed the songs we all knew by heart...and ”Thank you” for helping us sound better than we really did. ”Thank you” for helping us woo that special someone. ”Thank you” for making the slow dances feel that much closer; the kisses feel that much deeper; and the love feel that much stronger...and, ”Thank you” for being there to help ease the pain of a broken heart when it was over. ”Thank you”............for coloring our lives. Life is so much different now than it was back then. And yet, when I hear those old tunes, I am transported back to that simpler time...a time when nothing else mattered but that very moment. I can be carried back to a single point in time; and I have come to realize that, if you had not been in it, it would not have been as momentous. Something I couldn't foresee as a youth; therefore, only recognize as an adult. So now...”Thank you” Steve for reopening a door for me that I thought was forever closed...”Thank you”...............for the gift of time travel. My "Wish" for you: Why is the red rose...red? Does its color come from within?...or without? Is the red rose...really...red? Well, what is the color of light? The visible light spectrum...all the colors of the rainbow. God himself wrote the code that tells the red rose to absorb and accept all the colors of light...except red. The red wavelength is reflected back to our eyes; it is what we perceive. We aren't seeing the color of the petals; we are seeing a color of the light...and it is beautiful. My birthday “Wish” for you Steve...May Her light continue to shine upon you. May Her light color you, and make you feel...beautiful. Given with love; admiration; and great respect,
I love your reactions because they, just like you, are so positive and uplifting. You can't possibly be in or stay in a bad mood when you are reacting!! Much love from Missouri. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
Yes!! I'm so glad you got to Stone in Love, Devin! Such an awesome, wicked, underrated song! Please, please do more Journey -- (Steve Perry, Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, Ross Valory and Steve Smith). I'll again suggest "Feelin That Way" and "Anytime" live from the Midnight Special, "Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'," "Girl Can't Help It" and "Oh Sherrie" by Steve Perry. We want more!
One of my all-time favorites by Journey. Was there for their emergence into music and have been ever since. So disappointed that I never got to see them before Steve left. Still hoping he'll surprise us one day and do one more tour. Keep up the good reactions man, you rock!
I, unlike you, lived the 70s. Your reactions to Journey, Elvis, The BeeGees and other classic groups take me on a journey (no pun intended) right back to that era. I listen in amazement as their music hits me right in the heart and soul. I close my eyes and remember where I was when I first heard "the song". Joy washes over me and I realize I am moving just as you are. Too late...the beat has me! I saw the BeeGees at the Capital Centre, Landover, Maryland. I have attended many concerts and must say they (BEEGEES) entertained so skillfully..their harmonies made you want to either dance or sing depending on the song. Rod Stewart was great in concert as was Pink Flloyd but the BeeGees were STELLAR. I truly appreciate your site. You are keeping the "real" music alive. 🎶 We are here in 2021 and you can't find an artist like the ones in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. The fact you are a Christian is most important in this conversation. Thank you for sharing your faith with us. You have the unique advantage of interpreting the music/song from a different perspective...an honest assessment, through your faith which you live each day. Thank you for keeping the music alive. God bless you and your wife. Have a blessed Thanksgiving. Keep up the good work. Sheri
You'll love Be Good To Yourself! Also, Steve released his new album a few years ago called Traces! We're Still Here and No More Cryin' are on that! Steve was gone for 20 plus years and he wouldn't even sing in the shower! His love died from breast cancer and she made him promise to make more music before she died! Traces was the result of that promise!
Journey with Steve Perry, Only the Young Has become one of my favorite Journey Songs to listen to, I hope you will do a Reaction to it I think you will like it.
There are a lot of us hardcore Journey fans who don't understand how this song is not as big of a hit as "Don't Stop Beleivin" , of course it didn't help that this is from the same album and that album along with 2 additional chart topping hits. This song does a great job of showcasing the cops of one of the most overlooked guitar legends in Neil Schon. I mean the guy was touring with Santana at age 15 doing the opening riff on Black Magic woman.
Really love seeing your reaction to this so well loved band! The excitement that is promoted isn’t lost! They hook you and you’re a fan for life! (try Steve’s solo career)
This has been my favorite band since I bought the ESCAPE album in high school. I, of course, bought all the prior and all with Steve Perry. You still have a ways to go. I put one for you below. Welcome.
I'm thankful for your reactions for the simple reason I am guaranteed to be left in a better mood and a smile. Love your positivity. Journey and Steve are timeless. Should check Steve's album TRACES. He has videos to We're Still Here and No More Cryin. Still an amazing VOICE ✌❤ Oh, Happy Thanksgiving 🦃

There is NO BAD JOURNEY SONG!! Lol. Good taste Devin!!!
Exactly!!!!
Facts
I'm telling you Neal Schon is a melodic genius
The guitarist is Neil Schon, the one that founded Journey. He is just well respected as a guitarist as Steve is on vocals. Remember his name! Lol.
It's amazing how Steve can sing while also running around the stage like a maniac.
You will not be disappointed to see Mother, Father live in Houston. Or any other Journey or Steve Perry song for that matter! Keep enjoying Steve's voice!

Steve Perry just released a Christmas record for the first time and it’s exactly what you think it would be. So, so good…
