  • How a chance visit to a cathedral during your holidays as a seventeen year old can be the start of a spiritual journey that ultimately takes you into exile, but serving Christ and spreading a message of truth, hope and love. In this podcast we listen to the fascinating story of Rod Dreher, American author, journalist and Orthodox Christian.
This podcast aims to provide virtual space and intelligent in depth conversation for spiritually minded people. Please, pray for those who, in every field of life, aim for communion with the saints and catholic Church of all times and places.
Liking and subscribing if you find these conversations helpful is an encouragement for me and my guests.
Note for western Catholics, particularly in the Reformed tradition: If you prefer to address the Godhead at the Person of the "Father", the light of our Lord's teachings about prayer, I suggest you use, rather than the Jesus Prayer the Lord's Prayer (Pater Noster) and/or the penitential Psalms 6, 32, 38, 51, 102, 130, and 143 (miserere mei).

Rod is asked how he knows that his impression in the Cathedral was more than just his own subjective feelings. His answer: feelings, feelings, feelings, and then some stuff about Orthodox theology. His standard of evidence for religion-based claims is utterly nonexistent.
