Hi Gaynor really enjoyed watching today’s video, so much going on and your cheerful nature beaming through. The Swiss Cheese plant is going to take over from Snake Plant (I hope he doesn’t get jealous) I look forward to seeing what designs and paintings you create. Love the story about your earrings and seeing naughty Rocket eating your bulbs. I really like the Lilac colour in your long painting, it will be interesting to see it progress. By the way I have now put two coats of Gesso on my Sketchbook and am already thinking of cover designs. Have a good week. 😊
Love your swiss cheese plant, and your snakes. The snake I have (we call them 'Mother-In-Law's tongue :) has the narrow leaves, I like the wide leafed ones you have. Beautiful portrait work, wow! Your videos are always so delightful! Thanks

Swiss cheese plants' Latin name is Monstera deliciosa "delicious monster". I thought you might like that. I don't why it's delicious. Maybe it fruits in hot places.
Interesting about the earrings going back to front. I took a trip with a college group to Russia in the mid 80’s. Bought a pair of earrings in Moscow and they need to be inserted back to front!! ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE! Cannot figure out how Russian Women do it!

The lovely Carlos said to keep out of direct sunlight....my dilemma at the moment....too gloomy or too bright 😂 His other top tip...BUY MORE and I lovingly dusted the leaves yesterday before having a go at drawing him on the kitchen table - what did you start, buying me my first Snake Plant 😍😍😍😍
I absolutely love lots of layers, and the depth they bring, and scraping through to see beneath. So that orange colour was absolutely fabulous when it peeked through. I, too, keep my paints separated by colour. I was recently diagnosed with ADHD (and I'm a senior citizen!) and my work surface looked much messier than yours until I started clearing it last night. I find that having a system for things makes life much easier. I really try to clean up after each painting session. I do it well for a while, then get distracted (who, me? 🙂) and then discover that things are falling down because I've piled one project on top of another on top of a previous, etc. And I, too, find all kinds of things I'd lost in my heaps and piles! LOL. I think many artists have a bit of ADHD - but perhaps it's what makes us creative in the first place! We have SO many great ideas!
