Katerina was such a tragic character. She was constantly going through life on self preservation mode, which in turn caused her relationships with others to be formed more like collateral instead of endearing. Despite what she did to others, I can deeply sympathize with her. There is just so much complexity in her character, I wish we got more backstory on her.
Damn it…The fact that we don’t know nothing about what she did during the years 1492 to 1864 is a crime. I mean where did she travel, who did she met, how was her life? For example we know from Pearl that she had burned a whole village, I mean we want to know why did she do that? The writers should have done more flashbacks to fill her story. At least for each century one flashback, that would have been so cool🔥
Would be an awesome spinoff for an upcoming teen actress to show this period of time for a favorite character....but it'll have to be written like The Originals and not Legacies in order to be good
Katherine was so pure, lovable, loving, and innocent. She is a victim. Klaus is the cause and the main reason for her misfortune. She did nothing. She was manipulated and had her whole life ripped away from her. This will cause you to become wicked...when you are constantly on survival mode and trying to protect yourself. She was more pure and innocent than Elena. But for some reason Kathetine never caught a break. But everyone was able to forgive Klaus?
Exactly Klaus is such a malefic narcissist I think he even surpasses narcissism he’s more Machiavellianism where as Katherine is a sacrificial lamb in every situation victim always in fight or flight sure she’s manipulative but only for her will to live
Katherine was my favorite in this whole series. Really sucks they threw away allll of her character development after becoming human. You should do a deep dive on Pam and Eric 🩵
Katerina is actually descended from the travelers not he baby daddy. Her father was a traveler but disowned the practice of any magic after he saw the slaughter of his own parents for using theirs. Katerina's father was a firm participant of leaving behind legacies when inconvenienced.
Actually it is mentioned in a deleted scene of season 5 that her baby daddy was a traveller and taught her how to make pierogi and trigger words to end spirit possession 🙂
I'm saw that too and loved it, It would be so amazing to make that cannon in the universe, but it was a deleted scene so it cannot be. I'm only talking about the lore that made it made it to the screen.
@@stephaniepage4334 Actually yes they should be, because Qetsiyah said the cure would restore their mortal state and supernatural status as travelers. So in theory even if they didn't know they could practice magic, delenas children would be travelers.
The Traveler witch leader Markos cast a spell 1,500 years ago during the 5-6 century for the 2 doppelgangers of Silas and Amara to b drawn to one another so they could brake their own curse of being rejected by nature and always having to move. I think that 1 of them was the father of her daughter. In my opinion after Hell got destroyed, all the spirits who didn't deserve that fate were free to find peace, but those did deserve it like her, were reincarnated, to start life all over again from scratch until they get it right for peace. And that is what it was before Arcadius created the place.
I'd like to see paul play new doppelganger from tatia and Katherine time and I'd like to see nina play new doppelganger from 19 th century because Julie revealed that she team are definitely work on new spinoff based on legacies original tvd?
Just been recently watching TVD again, I believe it was s3 ep 9 or 10. There is part where Katherine literally makes Stefan save Damon. Not really for selfish reasons for herself but to save Stefan humanity. After watching that scene made fully believe Katherine does care about others and can put people before her. Wished she got more scenes like that but then again, she would probably over shadow Elena.
One thing I don't get about that episode is when katherine and stefan are in the car and she is talking about humanity and she says it a vampires greatest weakness then she says sometimes I let it wouldn't that mean you would have had to turn it off.
What I hate most about tvd is how it victim blames Katherine MANY MANY times. Yes. Katherine was often the perpetrator. But it was still because Klaus was "punishing" her for not allowing him to kill her off (??? Like hellp wtf). And then there are tons of moments in which she is painted as the bad guy when actually she's the victim. The worst example for me is Rose. That lil b****h kept her imprisoned in her house cause she wanted to bring her back to klaus. She then even tried to kill her herself yet had the audacity to complain "you just signed our death sentences" and blame Katherine for "ruining her life" when actually ir was ELIJAH AND KLAUS who ruined rheir lives! It's not Katherine's fault tf. Elena as well "you don't even care that you ruined their lives" 💀💀 sure elena. And then rose has the hypocrisy to judge elena for not even trying to survive... like rose make up your mind. Aaand ofc Rose herself kidnapped elena so she can get her freedom back. That makes her no better than Katherine. Just 10 times worse for being such a hypocrite
I love how that hypocritical bitch Elena barked on Kathrine for "running lives" when most of the time it was out of need. Meanwhile she aided in the deaths of Kol and Finn killing probably thousands more than Kathrine ever did for her own needs. Sure, Katherines no saint but at least she doesn't act like she is one.
She attacked elena because Bonnie broke their deal, it gets clear when you pay attention to her conversation with Bonnie and generally put in mind that Katherine did bad things for her plans and survival but not simply out of mood. When Bonnie didn't want to live up to her end of the deal Katherine threatened elena, which makes sense considering everyone always put elena first, it would hurt Bonnie more to have elena killed than herself. Bonnie still didn'r care and just stayed insolent so at rhe end of the day Katherine attacked Elena. I'm not saying Katherine did not let her feelings influence her there but I am saying that Katherine had a deeper reason than jealousy for the actual action here.
3:42 exactly, I want to know what she did about 300 years. I’m talking about 300 YEARS…such a long time… and it would be so good if the writers would have gave us flashbacks
Plus kathrin Was once like Elene.Elenas selfishness comes from a place of love just like kathrines once did. Elena without humanity was proofing that she coukd easaly become Kathrine
Like I said before I can only speak for myself:I think you are a great creator/this video your upload on how to become immortal and all future content deserve over a million views!!
This was an Incredible Video for The Life of Katerina Petrova. Nina Kamenova Dobreva did a Legendary Performance Bringing this Tragic Character and Magnificent Antagonist’s from The Vampire Diaries Universe to Life. I wonder could you please do a video for The Life of Niklaus Mikaelson My Favorite Character of all Time and My Favorite Protagonist and Antagonist?
I've been hoping you would make this. The fist thing I looked at was how long the video was 😂😂 anything less than 10 mins would not have done justice for this epic character! Obviously the vampire Chronicles are my all time favorite but for some reason vampire diaries always caught my attention and held it. it's hard to rate it vs VC because one is books and one is a show very very loosely based on books. I've done all the books of TVD and the show blows them out of the water. If HBO or anything but the CW had TVD it would have been top 5 all time shows I think. True Blood was epic because of how raw it was.
This show should’ve ended with klaus forgiving her for stealing the stone (wanting to live which technically she never did, she just ran away) and Katherine returning to Bulgaria. With her having closer at her family’s cemetery saying her peace and walking off into the sunset knowing she no longer has to run away from klaus. She is finally free and become a redeemable character. Katherine did some extremely horrible things. But all those things she did was only because someone got in her way for her to try to run and survive! She could’ve had less blood on her hands had the Salvatore brothers Just minded their business or not double cross her which they did many times throughout the show. Each time they did Katherine had to show there would be consequences if they backed her into a corner.
I hope she return one day so that she can get redemption because Julie revealed that she team are definitely work on new spinoff based on legacies original tvd?
I hate that they didn't let her have a redemption arc. She was so close, like that time she helped out the brothers against Klaus and his hybrids. Or her love for her Daughter. Edit Also, she was forced to become the bad guy thanks to Klaus and his family. And even THEY got redemption. Where is hers?
Well not all the villains got redemptions. I think that if she survived from Silas and lived out a human life with out the cure but was compelled to let go of her self-perseveration, she would b totally-emotionally lost cause it was a part of her. I.e. "What am I suppose to do with myself for the next 60-70 years if I can't b looking out myself?! No more selling u guys out ta save my own skin, actually risking myself for others. No more scheming to watch my own back. How do I live like that, cause looking out for myself is all I've ever known for 500 years!!!" She would b like that.
@Ernesto Pena I’m assuming you’re forgetting she killed Jeremy AND when she was dying, she stole Elena’s body with the traveler spell and tried to steal her life because she thought she deserved it when she forgave her for everything she did, they GAVE her a chance a redemption a few times and she screwed them over.
I hope she return one day so that she can get redemption because Julie revealed that she team are definitely work on new spinoff based on legacies original tvd?
Katherine was disliked by most of her immediate family if not downright hated then had her baby taken from her all at a very young age all before vampirism and then had Elijah And Klaus betraying her as well as Rose And Trevor and then turned into a vampire for her own survival only to find out her entire fam has been taken out by Klaus no spares or leftovers no wonder she ended up cold blooded does not give her a free throw but still explains why she was a monster to most people later on yeah.
These videos are amazing should definitely do one of niklaus mikaelson u did some of him daggering his siblings or of the originals definitely need one of him alone if not already made

you said you would make timelines fro each original character. you never did :/ id love see more on Klaus (from the books perspective as well as I have watched TVD, originals and legacies)
