So glad you brought up the scorebug. I was in the same boat, you couldn’t see the islanders power play time on that white background. They used these new chevron graphics too with the logos. Terrible
Post-Bruins game: MM looked amazing! Couts came to his defense (like Schultz defending Clarke). Fedotov looked sharp. Jett ALMOST makes team - next yr, with Bonk. Too many goalies? Beats having Cal Petersen.
Michkov looked unpredictable bordering on chaos. The fact that he is a dual threat passer and shooter and has the hands to keep everyone guessing until the puck leaves his stick makes me very excited. You guys said maybe Frost can change his game to become more of a goal scorer to play alongside Michkov but I'm not so sure. I think to be an effective center for michkov he will either have to learn to predict the unpredictable or develope some defacto set plays with the mad russian. Im not so sure Frost's playmaking will mate well with Michkov's creativity.
Jett played very well from a technical standpoint. The thing I noticed is that he seemed surpised at times by the strength and skill of his opponents. For example on his giveaways it was clear he saw the player coming but often wasn't ready for how quickly the space closed. He came away with the puck, especially as a second man, in several board battles but did get knocked down a lot. I have a feeling if he stuck with the team he would adjust well in the first half of the season and run out of steam in the second half. Sucking for 40 games is no good for his development if you think this kids ceiling is top 6 center.
I wish I could listen to this podcast cause I love the Flyers, but Ant San Fat is a liar and Bundy monetizes sobriety. Just a completely unlikeable trio.
