    I didn't read many of the comments, so I don't know if anyone mentioned that you can make the cleaning easier by putting in about 20 ounces of hot water with a bit of soap and let it run for a few minutes. This lets the machine largely clean itself. This is approved by the manufacturer.

    We had a masticating juicer and a Aicook centrifugal juicer like this one th-cam.com/users/postUgkxXHNfxr6U9XrHQpsdjUrKNVP231BfS9q9 Both of them made about the same amount of juice.The Aikcook one died in 3 weeks haha. China brand. LolSo we bought this one since at least we knew the brand name and it was about the same price.Imagine our surprise when we make two 16 oz cups of celery juice and have leftover celery. We juiced it and made almost another cup! Same thing happened with our cucumber juice. So it's about 20 - 30 % more juice than our other two juicers including the masticating cold press one!The motor is so much stronger on this one than the Aikcook. It sucks in the vegetables and spits them out like it's angry.I've only had it a few days so don't know how long it will last but all the plastics and interior is much stronger and better made than the other two we had. If it breaks, I can buy a new one with the savings in vegetable bill. Haha.This literally is going to save me about 60- 80 bucks a month because of the juice output. No one likes to waste food.Update! It broke in 8 days. Motor started freaking out. I'm going to get another of them and try my luck because I really really want this one to be the one.

    Thank you Riane for posting this video! I’ve been juicing celery juice for over 7 years (following MM protocol). I have an Omega MM900 model which works fine for celery but not for green juices. I appreciate your honest feedback and demo of the Nama J2. Can’t wait to buy one!

      @Juicing369 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Me, too. MM900 works great for CJ but you're suppose to clean it at 16 Oz hence the screens seem to tear (the yellow rubber attached). It's hindered progress due to how long it takes to make green juices. Once it got so hot it shut off. Nama J2 is almost a must.

      You are right. He does. I don’t know if I lucked out or what, but my old juicer had pretty much zero pulp in it after it went through the initial juicer strainer. For celery, try juicing a specific pre weighed amount of celery thru the Omega J8006 horizontal slow juicer, and then pass the celery pulp thru the Omega J8006 juicer several times for getting even more juice out of the celery pulp. Then compare the total yield from the Omega J8006 horizontal slow juicer, with one pass of the exact same weight of fresh celery thru the Nama J2. From my experience, you will see that you will get more total juice from the Omega J8006 horizontal slow juicer, by also running the pulp thru several times. When juicing celery, I always used my Omega J8006 horizontal slow juicer and by running the pulp thru several times, my total juice yield was amazing and the celery pulp was now as dry as it could possibly get.

      I’m glad you found it helpful! I actually did not juice a lot of leafy greens in my omega since I found it rather difficult & time consuming. It thought it was so great at celery & hard items, but I thought the softer stuff was much harder to put through it. I’m always juicing harder vegetables or fruit with the leafy greens in my Nama. Works like a charm. I guess I have not juiced just greens by themselves though.. I hope this was helpful enough in answering your question. 🥰. I hope you have a great day!!

    juice each item by itself? The things you made...pineapple, celery, etc...you put in container for ? To drink later...
    by itself? You don't mix vegetables or fruit together pour in container? Being a beginner with the NamaJ2...I'm
    full of questions...Prior to this I had the Omega NC 800....and as for the Vitamix...have you wathed the latest
    John Kohler videos on why he'd chose the $48 IKICH VACUUM blender over any Vitamix out there? It's worth
    watching sev'l videos & ordering while available... I even gift them to friends who are besides themselves
    enjoying this blender....Right now it is still available...only on Ebay & price is around $49...+ cents....it has sold
    out more than once & been unavailable for many months...but to have just as an extra...or until you find
    the Vitamix you desire on sale....it's worth looking into...:) Because I am writing spontaneously this morning...
    I don't have the Ebay link... I hope you'll do more with the NamaJ2....so appreciate going over all the parts...
    I will watch again this afternoon.... I want to learn everything about it..so do mix things that can be mixed
    that are in right proportion & healthy for us... Thanks again ! :)

      It’s best to have celery juice on an empty stomach in the morning, so I choose to juice in the morning since that is my main juice. Lemon water, then celery juice, and then a second juice of whatever I have on hand on a given day, then my smoothie. All spread out of course. 😊. Love the omega too! This one is just great for bulk juicing and adding more to the hopper at once. 😊

    You can catch a great masticating juicer for under $100. I would always recommend a masticating juicer, less foam, less pulp, and doesn't build up heat that can kill all those wonderful nutrients
    I started with a NINJA cold press juicer that my sister now has. It makes wonderful juice and is super easy to use but I starting looking for another after I left my NINJA at her house. I bought an OMEGA 8006 ($390 but I got it on sale for $200ish) next and it works great too but honestly for the price I think the NINJA is just as good. The OMEGA 8006 does make sorbet and baby food, not sure about the NINJA
    I was juicing once a day with those juicers and noticed many many benefits along with weight loss. I have MS so really hoping to elevate some of the constant pain.
    That brings me to the NAMA J2 purchase
    My daughter and her (soon to be fiancé ? ) bought it for my 60th birthday present and I am beyond excited to try it out!!
    It should arrive in the next two days and I can't wait to load it up and make 2 to 3 days worth of juice at one time
    I will try total juicing for a few days and see what it does for me
    I am expecting great things!!

    You need to get a digital kitchen scale (for under fifteen dollars) and weigh out your expensive organic celery before juicing it. When I juice 1.25 pounds of expensive organic celery in my Omega J8006 horizontal slow juicer, I get about 13 ounces of celery juice from the first pass thru. I then easily pass the pulp from the celery thru the Omega J8006 juicer several times and I get about three more ounces of celery juice from the celery pulp for a total yield of 16 ounces from 1.25 pounds of organic celery. The celery pulp is now as dry as it can get. This is about 23 percent more celery juice in total, than you will probably get from the Nama J2. When I strain the celery juice thru a sieve, I will then press the drained pulp down against the sieve with the bottom side of a large spoon and it presses even more juice from the pulp. You do not need to cut celery beforehand when juicing in the Omega J8006 horizontal slow juicer, and it is super easy to clean afterwards, and the celery pulp is now as dry as it can get. I do agree the fruits that you mentioned will juice so much easier and efficiently in your vertical slow Nama J2 juicer and it has its place for that application. I hope you do this comparison with celery using both juicers as I explained. Best of health to you and your family.

    • @herhealthystyle
      @herhealthystyle  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Thanks for watching! I had the same Omega and loved it for celery when I was just juicing one 16 oz juice a day. I think it’s amazing for celery for one person. Once I started juicing more than just celery and my husband joined in as well, the omega as good as it is didn’t cut it. The omega did get me about 2 more ounces per bunch, but the extra time it took to make wasn’t worth it. Chopping the celery is much faster for us than feeding it through for two. We also run/ran the celery pulp through twice in both. The best juicer to get is going to be different for us all. 😊 My goal with the Nama was to make us juice more and it’s 💯 done that.

      It’s best to drink juice right after juicing as it contains the most enzymes fresh, but yes, you can store the juice if really needed. The way to lose the least amount of oxidation is to store the juice in air tight containers and pour the juice to the very top before covering so little oxygen is in there.
