I'm on a similar wavelength...I do 2MAD, and occasional OMAD; I seem to no longer have ANY joint pain; I gradually moved to (not a strict) KETO; I use MCT; my foot issues are STABLE (at least, NOT getting worse); I'm considering a Paleo diet, in conjunction with fasting. But I'm sort of in a state of...sometimes "live to eat" and sometimes "eat to live". But mainly: progress is being MADE. I've always been very conscious of what I eat (since I was 20 yrs old; I'm 75 now), but since watching Dr. Berg's videos, I've become far better at choosing foods that are healthy, minimizing my sugar intake, avoiding seed oils, and so forth. Thank you, Dr. Berg.

Following this channel helps me clearly understand what healthy and unhealthy food/eating style do to my body. For example, before I never know corn starch/maltodextrin can raise blood sugar faster than sugar, and I ate a lot of it underestimating its harm. Having detailed understanding of the effect help me eat healthy. I have no shame to follow a coach/mentor to help me improve, and to feel grateful to people I find helpful.

My health started to deteriorate some 25 years ago. Age my doctor said. Some 15 years I go I was diagnosed with Diabetes 2. Take these pills, my doctor said. Then take more pills, he said. In the mean time I was eating nachos dipped in melted velveta fake cheese. Then 15 month ago I got numb toes, my doctor prescribed me Xanax, this will make you feel better, he said. I went home, never filled the prescription and started educating myself. I learned, that all my life, the food industry is trying to kill me. Of course they must know their products are dangerous to my health. I knew all my life about the dangers of cigarettes and alcohol, but not about the dangers of Trans-Fat, Seed-Oils, Fructose, refined carbohydrates e.t.c. And the entire healthcare industry is complicit with the food industry, because NO DOCTOR EVER told me that these foods will kill me.
Information about the negative effects of the foods and the ingredients in them have been been in the the news for over 40 years. Stop being dramatic. You ate what you wanted to eat. Doctors are not nutritionists.

Dr.Berg you are awesome!!! You have helped me so much over the years. I was up to 400Lbs. !!! I was going to be placed on transplant list. I took My health into my own hands with lots of your imfo . I now after 1 1/2 years dropped that weight. I maintain 135 lbs. An lots of studies continuely... Doctors just freak out. Can't believe it's even me. My ID's and SS are checked constantly. They have me speak regularly to nursing staffs. I have normal counts off transplant lists... Thank you so much...
What can I say? 1. Never knew this about "concentrate." No more for me. 2. I used olive oil mayonnaise thinking it was good. No more for me. I did check, and as Dr. Berg said it does contain other oils. How sneaky is that! 3. Protein bars- shocking for a supposedly "healthy" snack. 4.Flavored yogurt- never knew. Scrap that from my list. I love what you shared. Taking some time to read the labels is eye opening. Once you've read them, you won't have to spend so much time reading them again. You can check out all kinds of food labels online to spare yourself long icy grocery store visits! Brrr! SOME of the old ways are the best ways, like buying fresh produce and whole cuts of meat with the bone in. Using lots of spices, building flavor in your slow-cooker. Our grandmothers knew what's what with slow food! Or, in my case, my great-grandmother 😅
My last day of drinking milk was when i opened a bag of milk (the funky clear bladdars of milk that no one can open properly) and it lasted over a week.
Years ago my mother, saddled with 13 children (his, hers, & theirs), wanted to raise healthy children. Adell Davis books became her Bible, as well as Life Extension. As a result she instilled in me the goal of eating healthy and learning constantly as to how to maintain my health. At 72 I watch people my age dying all around me, crippled with endless ailments. Though I do have age related issues and a weight problem I’ve had my entire life, my life has improved greatly and am by far healthier after I learned much about what you are teaching. I fully expect to live to 90 or there abouts and maybe even longer. My mom died at 88 and probably would have lived longer were it not for a prolapsed heart valve only discovered in the last couple years of her life and diabetes 2 which is related to stress and infections. She ended up with a systemic E. coli infection. Knowing what we are learning now from the likes of you, I often wonder just how long she would have lived if we’d known much of this sooner. Thank you so much for all the knowledge you share. From this video I realize I’m doing pretty good at eating healthy despite the industries that want us sick. Bless you and all you do. ❤
there is this health food store where the people that work there are mean and nasty, that is why people go elsewhere. they are so nasty that they cause mental health issues. There are certain cultures friends, that are a detriment to society because there darkness is a conflictual spirit. They get jealous very easily, there impossible to work with. They are thieves too, my friend's car was stolen.) They also steal thru the computer. Basically they are predators. ( there are exceptions to the rule)
That's a great goal! Successful change tends to be incremental. If someone is starting with Doritos, just switching to unflavored tortilla chips is a big change. They're not eating maltodextrin or modified food starch anymore. The next step would be only organic chips, then organic chips cooked in clean oils. Maybe around this time starting to make their OWN chips in an air fryer. All this time, they could also be changing their dips according to their needs, from Velveeta to queso in a jar to homemade queso to homemade cashew cream... or switching to guac and fresh salsas and leaving out the heavy dips. Bit by bit, ANYONE can eventually get there if they keep going.
My husband died from brain cancer. He never got sick, he was thin his whole life, was active and ate what I fed him which was crap:'(. A few veggies and meat, but we ate carbs that I bought, along with deadly Coca Cola. It's reality most food is poisoned because of greedy mankind and I believe that killed him. Makes me sick. I miss him grievously even though its been a year (yesterday ). I know he's in my future in Heaven with Jesus, as we are both "born again " - John 3:3, but I hate that he's gone and that most probably the food killed him😢

I cut down on soda quite a bit 6 months ago. I also started eating much less so I could lose 20 pounds for a hip replacement surgery. I did in 3 months for the surgery. 6 weeks after surgery, I gave up soda completely. I have lost another 10 pounds in 6 weeks, and my fat is just melting off. A pair of pants that I bought a year ago are now so big that there's no tailoring them to fit. I can't wait to see where I am three months from now. I have so much energy!

Dr. Berg I’m elderly & disabled & have many health problems sadly, so can’t get a job so rely on the generosity of the taxpayers which I’m eternally grateful to but due to the cost of everything we can’t afford quality food. People that do work are taxed so heavily they can only eat to work & work to eat usually, they can’t afford quality food you suggest either sadly or even a roof over their head. Eggs, fish and meat aren’t that expensive if you cut out all the junk food, sodas, juices, snacks etc. I find I spend much less at grocery store than I used to. I look ten years younger too!

I appreciate your videos. I’m 68 and have noticed a drastic change in my health over the last year. I’m trying to change my diet to reduce carbs and sugar intake, but I’m still struggling with a vicious cycle of lack of sleep, fatigue and lack of exercise, compounded with even more sluggishness after eating. I’m afraid that if I don’t turn things around, I’m on a slippery slope to disaster.
Traded: -soda for sparkling water with a squeze of lime juice. (I don't like drinking my sugars, I preger to eat them) -Flavored yogurt with greek yogurt and a spoonful of a good fruit jelly/puree -Soybean mayo for Avocado oil mayo -Shredded cheese with a Block of Cheese, and shred with food processor or roughly chop it myself -Protein bar with a Can of Sardines and two Hard Boiled Eggs (Ive never tried protein bars or shakes)
Exactly man I was doing it step by step too for over 3 years. Not all at once. Lile changing whole flour toast against 2 Bananas in the morning. Earthgrown SINGLE ingredient foods. It's that simple. Is it from mother earth? No? Dont eat it! Does it have more than one ingredient? Yes? Don't eat it!
I got a sodastream to make my own sparkling water and you always add lemon juice, mint, raw honey, etc. It costs wayyy less than buying sparkling water from another brand.
I never touch any of that stuff. Greens, vegetables, eggs, fish, plenty of virgin olive oil, some sourdough bread, home made kefir. Nuts from time to time. I must be nuts.

very informative, literally everything sold on the shelf that is packed is to be alert, there was a protein powder suggested to a senior member in my family who had gone to check for neck pain, but doc gave some meds and also a protein powder whose ingredient list had all the similar junk items, which would again help to increase blood sugars who already has the issue with blood sugar,

That is next level right there! even I have not yet gotten there but it's my goal. I have 10 years of professional cooking experience and even though we've graduated beyond batch cooking with components we already batch cooked (homemade marinara into turkey bolo, none of it from a jar) it's a stretch for me to go label-free because shopping is fun and I don't get out much except for shopping. I get more steps in at Costco than the average day. I know I've got to change that. We make our own sourdough, buckwheat rolls, sauerkraut, kefir and yogurt with organic A2 milk. We make our own sauces, usually building them in the pan with spices, the fats rendering from the meat, homemade stocks, sometimes coconut cream, milk or heavy cream. Going bit by bit it has taken a long time to deprogram from the Saturday morning snack and cereal ads I absorbed along with everyone else in America. Our brains were hijacked by stuff that ISN'T FOOD. I read "Diet for a New America" when I was 15 and I began to wake up. Over 30 years later, I'm still trying to shake off the spell marketeers cast over me and most of the rest of us.

Seed oils are everywhere, you have to check every label. In many of the ‘healthy’ alternative milks like oat, loaded with seed oils, nothing healthy about that. Even in homous products, check the label. Recently even discovered canola oil in ‘healthy’ wholemeal bread…..even found in salad mixes.. Check every label. Keep up the great work Eric
I am one of the people who considers themselves rescued by people like Dr Berg. The surprising thing is how little people actually know about what we are eating. The movie Soylent Green comes to mind, which was terrifying to watch as a child, but even more terrifying to seed becoming a reality.

I was eliminating soy and a few other things because I was getting sicker. Since getting long covid I had to make all these changes because my reactions to food was becoming life threatening. I can't even eat most whole foods anymore. Grass fed whey protein isolate has been a life saver. I struggle to eat any carbs without getting sick. I can eat small amounts of whole dates that I mix with MCT oil and almond butter. I avoid any and all food additives and preservatives if I can.
In Bulgaria we don't use the word "yoghurt" - we call this product sour milk. Btw, lactobacillus bulgaricus is way more healthy than Lactobacillus kefiranofaciens :) The history of kefir is strangely connected to Bulgaria (Balkaria) as well :)
At 56, I have only just begun seeing a rheumatologist. I love her, but no supplemental vitamins or minerals were suggested as an additional tactic to help my situation. She wrote scrips for Lyrica (tried one and it increased my already heavy fatigue. Next visit 2 months later, added low dose Gabapentin. Nope. Same problem. Plus, I would love to avoid taking more meds, especially those that make me less able to function and/or gain more weight. I am packing it on and it is unexplainable except that I do very little because the entire soles of my feet get very red and swollen, aching and throbbing with every beat of my heart, from deep within. This happens at least twice a day, every day, almost always preceded by my face flushing and a wave of oppressive fatigue.

The palms of my hands have been very red and dry, with hard skin years. Dermatology said yes, that’s psoriasis. One foot has the same. I do believe I am full of inflammation. I am extremely fatigued, intermittently throughout a day. The awful malaise has remitted, thank God! I’ve had unexplained, bilateral low back pain, tops of shoulders pain, leg pain, for years. 15 years ago, I had bilateral anterior tibial fasciotomies for chronic exertional compartment syndromes. bilateral TMJ arthroplasties, lumbar and cervical spine surgeries, too. Migraines, heat intolerance, palpitations, etc., for years. I try not to complain. I know it could be far worse, but I am losing my life as I have known it and yeah, it makes me sad. Thank you Dr Berg, for every minute you spend trying to help. I appreciate you very much.

Dr Berg should be on TV or more well known. Many have repeated what he says but it just hits home and seems so real when he talks about the food processing. Many of the foods seem harmless, they're everywhere in restaurants and at the store. Don't blend the fruit! If you blend the fruit you break the cell wall (& then your body treats the fruit as pure sugar because it has become so. Eat the whole fruit whole berries; unblended so that you get the fibre & all in tact & you feel like you have eaten something when you eat the whole fruit - smoothies are not good sugar wise nor is blending berries into yoghurt - add whole berries 🙏🏻🇬🇧

7 foods to avoid!
1. Liquid sugar
Soda, juice, and high-sugar beverages deplete your body's vitamin and mineral reserves and contribute to insulin resistance. If you like soda, try Zevia zero-sugar soda instead!
2. Processed cheese
Pasteurized cheese products can’t be called cheese if they contain less than 51% cheese. Processed cheeses typically contain skim milk, canola oil, milk protein concentrate, modified food starch, whey protein, maltodextrin, preservatives, and salt. Choose real cheese instead!
3. Protein bars
Many protein bars are worse than candy bars! They’re often made with soy protein isolates and casein, and can contain 30 to 47 grams of sugar per bar! This number doesn’t include the starches, which are also sugar.
Protein bars are usually sweetened with highly processed sweeteners such as rice syrup, corn syrup, and tapioca syrup. Some are sweetened with sucralose, an artificial sweetener made from a chlorine compound.
Try boiled eggs, cheese, and meat jerky for quick protein.
4. Seed oil mayonaise
Almost every mayo available lists soy oil as its first ingredient. Soy oil is a seed oil that’s highly processed using solvents like hexane. It’s high in omega-6s, which can be highly inflammatory. Look for mayo that is made with avocado oil and zero seed oils. Chosen Foods mayo and Primal Kitchen mayo are much better options.
5. Sweetened, flavored yogurt
Seventy percent of the yogurt people buy is sweetened, flavored yogurt. This yogurt contains more sugar per ounce than ice cream! It also contains artificial colorings and flavorings.
Opt for plain whole-fat grass-fed yogurt from A2 protein cows. For an even better option, try whole-fat kefir from grass-fed cows, sheep, or goats.
6. Soy protein
Soy protein is a cheap, heavily processed protein found in many foods. It negatively affects your gut and liver. Opt for whole protein sources such as meat, eggs, fish, and seafood.
7. Modified starches
Starches are chains of sugars, often used as fillers. Starches cause a more significant spike in blood sugar than sugar! Consume natural starch from butternut squash, beets, plantains, and purple potatoes.

I've always been very conscious of what I eat (since I was 20 yrs old; I'm 75 now), but since watching Dr. Berg's videos, I've become far better at choosing foods that are healthy, minimizing my sugar intake, avoiding seed oils, and so forth. Thank you, Dr. Berg.

Following this channel helps me clearly understand what healthy and unhealthy food/eating style do to my body. For example, before I never know corn starch/maltodextrin can raise blood sugar faster than sugar, and I ate a lot of it underestimating its harm. Having detailed understanding of the effect help me eat healthy. I have no shame to follow a coach/mentor to help me improve, and to feel grateful to people I find helpful.

My health started to deteriorate some 25 years ago. Age my doctor said. Some 15 years I go I was diagnosed with Diabetes 2. Take these pills, my doctor said.
Then take more pills, he said. In the mean time I was eating nachos dipped in melted velveta fake cheese. Then 15 month ago I got numb toes, my doctor prescribed me Xanax, this will make you feel better, he said.
I went home, never filled the prescription and started educating myself. I learned, that all my life, the food industry is trying to kill me. Of course they must know their products are dangerous to my health. I knew all my life about the dangers of cigarettes and alcohol, but not about the dangers of Trans-Fat, Seed-Oils, Fructose, refined carbohydrates e.t.c.

What can I say?
1. Never knew this about "concentrate." No more for me.
2. I used olive oil mayonnaise thinking it was good. No more for me. I did check, and as Dr. Berg said it does contain other oils. How sneaky is that!
3. Protein bars- shocking for a supposedly "healthy" snack.
4.Flavored yogurt- never knew. Scrap that from my list.
My grocery shopping is taking longer. But it's worth it.
Unfortunately for me when I remain in air-conditioned buildings longer than 90 mins I get terrible body pains.

I love what you shared. Taking some time to read the labels is eye opening. Once you've read them, you won't have to spend so much time reading them again. You can check out all kinds of food labels online to spare yourself long icy grocery store visits! Brrr! SOME of the old ways are the best ways, like buying fresh produce and whole cuts of meat with the bone in. Using lots of spices, building flavor in your slow-cooker. Our grandmothers knew what's what with slow food! Or, in my case, my great-grandmother 😅

Years ago my mother, saddled with 13 children (his, hers, & theirs), wanted to raise healthy children. Adell Davis books became her Bible, as well as Life Extension. As a result she instilled in me the goal of eating healthy and learning constantly as to how to maintain my health. At 72 I watch people my age dying all around me, crippled with endless ailments. Though I do have age related issues and a weight problem I’ve had my entire life, my life has improved greatly and am by far healthier after I learned much about what you are teaching. I fully expect to live to 90 or there abouts and maybe even longer. My mom died at 88 and probably would have lived longer were it not for a prolapsed heart valve only discovered in the last couple years of her life and diabetes 2 which is related to stress and infections. She ended up with a systemic E. coli infection. Knowing what we are learning now from the likes of you, I often wonder just how long she would have lived if we’d known much of this sooner. Thank you so much for all the knowledge you share. From this video I realize I’m doing pretty good at eating healthy despite the industries that want us sick. Bless you and all you do. ❤

there is this health food store where the people that work there are mean and nasty, that is why people go elsewhere. they are so nasty that they cause mental health issues. There are certain cultures friends, that are a detriment to society because there darkness is a conflictual spirit. They get jealous very easily, there impossible to work with. They are thieves too, my friend's car was stolen.) They also steal thru the computer. Basically they are predators. ( there are exceptions to the rule)

That's a great goal! Successful change tends to be incremental. If someone is starting with Doritos, just switching to unflavored tortilla chips is a big change. They're not eating maltodextrin or modified food starch anymore. The next step would be only organic chips, then organic chips cooked in clean oils. Maybe around this time starting to make their OWN chips in an air fryer. All this time, they could also be changing their dips according to their needs, from Velveeta to queso in a jar to homemade queso to homemade cashew cream... or switching to guac and fresh salsas and leaving out the heavy dips. Bit by bit, ANYONE can eventually get there if they keep going.

I cut down on soda quite a bit 6 months ago. I also started eating much less so I could lose 20 pounds for a hip replacement surgery. I did in 3 months for the surgery. 6 weeks after surgery, I gave up soda completely. I have lost another 10 pounds in 6 weeks, and my fat is just melting off. A pair of pants that I bought a year ago are now so big that there's no tailoring them to fit. I can't wait to see where I am three months from now. I have so much energy!

Eggs, fish and meat aren’t that expensive if you cut out all the junk food, sodas, juices, snacks etc. I find I spend much less at grocery store than I used to. I look ten years younger too!

I appreciate your videos. I’m 68 and have noticed a drastic change in my health over the last year. I’m trying to change my diet to reduce carbs and sugar intake, but I’m still struggling with a vicious cycle of lack of sleep, fatigue and lack of exercise, compounded with even more sluggishness after eating. I’m afraid that if I don’t turn things around, I’m on a slippery slope to disaster.
Traded:
-soda for sparkling water with a squeze of lime juice. (I don't like drinking my sugars, I preger to eat them)
-Flavored yogurt with greek yogurt and a spoonful of a good fruit jelly/puree
-Soybean mayo for Avocado oil mayo
-Shredded cheese with a Block of Cheese, and shred with food processor or roughly chop it myself
-Protein bar with a Can of Sardines and two Hard Boiled Eggs (Ive never tried protein bars or shakes)

That is next level right there! even I have not yet gotten there but it's my goal. I have 10 years of professional cooking experience and even though we've graduated beyond batch cooking with components we already batch cooked (homemade marinara into turkey bolo, none of it from a jar) it's a stretch for me to go label-free because shopping is fun and I don't get out much except for shopping. I get more steps in at Costco than the average day. I know I've got to change that. We make our own sourdough, buckwheat rolls, sauerkraut, kefir and yogurt with organic A2 milk. We make our own sauces, usually building them in the pan with spices, the fats rendering from the meat, homemade stocks, sometimes coconut cream, milk or heavy cream. Going bit by bit it has taken a long time to deprogram from the Saturday morning snack and cereal ads I absorbed along with everyone else in America. Our brains were hijacked by stuff that ISN'T FOOD. I read "Diet for a New America" when I was 15 and I began to wake up. Over 30 years later, I'm still trying to shake off the spell marketeers cast over me and most of the rest of us.

I try to beware of the foods that come from organic farmers who lend their soils to non-organic farmers. Also, I am very leary of those who feed their animals rancid Omega-3 supplements. Much appreciated. Have a blessed day, everyone! 🙂

In many of the ‘healthy’ alternative milks like oat, loaded with seed oils, nothing healthy about that.
Even in homous products, check the label.
Recently even discovered canola oil in ‘healthy’ wholemeal bread…..even found in salad mixes..
Check every label.

I am one of the people who considers themselves rescued by people like Dr Berg.
The surprising thing is how little people actually know about what we are eating. The movie Soylent Green comes to mind, which was terrifying to watch as a child, but even more terrifying to seed becoming a reality.
You are correct. There is an enormous ignorance about food as it relates to the human body. Way too many people just don't care. Sad.

Interesting that you brought up this movie! The more I research health & nutrition on the internet, the more that movie comes to mind. I was a young teen when I saw it. It horrified me. With world 🌎 events of the last few years, I can see that scenario becoming a reality! Horrifing!
More like the movie Idiocracy comes to mind. In Soylent Green people were lied to about what they were eating and basically had no choice, in real-life people are told what they're eating, but they're too stupid to stop and question its effects or understand the consequences.
This is disheartening to hear . All these things that are in our food that we 0:05 “ live on “ , what our diet is . Sad we then offer them a potatoe 😕. If we raise them from birth to eat like that but my generation , my kids their generation , now my grandchildren . I'm prediabetic and I was told to avoid processed food. Thank you Dr. Berg.
I was eliminating soy and a few other things because I was getting sicker. Since getting long covid I had to make all these changes because my reactions to food was becoming life threatening. I can't even eat most whole foods anymore. Grass fed whey protein isolate has been a life saver. I struggle to eat any carbs without getting sick. I can eat small amounts of whole dates that I mix with MCT oil and almond butter. I avoid any and all food additives and preservatives if I can.
In Bulgaria we don't use the word "yoghurt" - we call this product sour milk. Btw, lactobacillus bulgaricus is way more healthy than Lactobacillus kefiranofaciens :) The history of kefir is strangely connected to Bulgaria (Balkaria) as well :)

At 56, I have only just begun seeing a rheumatologist. I love her, but no supplemental vitamins or minerals were suggested as an additional tactic to help my situation. She wrote scrips for Lyrica (tried one and it increased my already heavy fatigue. Next visit 2 months later, added low dose Gabapentin. Nope. Same problem. Plus, I would love to avoid taking more meds, especially those that make me less able to function and/or gain more weight. I am packing it on and it is unexplainable except that I do very little because the entire soles of my feet get very red and swollen, aching and throbbing with every beat of my heart, from deep within. This happens at least twice a day, every day, almost always preceded by my face flushing and a wave of oppressive fatigue.

The palms of my hands have been very red and dry, with hard skin years. Dermatology said yes, that’s psoriasis. One foot has the same.
I do believe I am full of inflammation. I am extremely fatigued, intermittently throughout a day. The awful malaise has remitted, thank God!
I’ve had unexplained, bilateral low back pain, tops of shoulders pain, leg pain, for years. 15 years ago, I had bilateral anterior tibial fasciotomies for chronic exertional compartment syndromes. bilateral TMJ arthroplasties, lumbar and cervical spine surgeries, too.
Migraines, heat intolerance, palpitations, etc., for years.
I try not to complain. I know it could be far worse, but I am losing my life as I have known it and yeah, it makes me sad.

We must avoid this junk food:
❌ sugar & added sugar
❌ bread and its products
❌ dairy (cheese, milk, sour cream, butter)
❌ caffeine
❌ alcoholic and sparkling drinks
❌ fried food
We need to support small local business producing and providing healthier food.

Dr Berg should be on TV or more well known. Many have repeated what he says but it just hits home and seems so real when he talks about the food processing. Many of the foods seem harmless, they're everywhere in restaurants and at the store. I just don't know how food will taste if I have to give up all these foods, especially bread, cereal and wheat based food.

Don't blend the fruit! If you blend the fruit you break the cell wall (& then your body treats the fruit as pure sugar because it has become so. Eat the whole fruit whole berries; unblended so that you get the fibre & all in tact & you feel like you have eaten something when you eat the whole fruit - smoothies are not good sugar wise nor is blending berries into yoghurt - add whole berries 🙏🏻🇬🇧
I've been telling friends this and they look at me crazy as they drink their blended sugar berries!! I eat all my fruits whole, thank you for saying this!!!
