    The Tesla that so many have waited for, in Performance spec. A little over 3 seconds to 100 km/h is simply incredible but what exactly is the Model 3 like? Take a look at my review to find out!

    Find your reviews are getting better and better. This car is amazing, it is worth the price with all the technology inside. I strangely like the plasticy bumbers and the curves and lines on them. If you have the money, its better than a non-electric car.

    Great video, Nobby. I have this exact spec (except for the white interior). I definitely didn't have the manufacturing defects that your test model had here so that's pretty disappointing, yet not surprising from Tesla. As a young car company, they still have a lot to improve upon in terms of quality control - but I agree with all your points in this video.

    I have watched a lot of Tesla videos and there are some pretty common themes among them. It's all a matter of the process of people trying to wrap their head around a new technology and completely understandable. In the latter minutes of the video you mentioned are people comfortable letting autopilot drive themselves around and of course every time there is an autopilot update it's a little bit shaky at first but the trajectory is that it always gets better, much better. It is so good that the question isn't are you comfortable letting autopilot drive for you but rather are you comfortable being on the roads with other people who do not have autopilot or are you comfortable driving in a vehicle that isn't looking out for you in 8 directions, 360°, using multiple forms of sensory input and is currently 8 times or more less likely to have you in a wreck than driving without it.I can envision a day in the not so distant future where it will be considered heresy to drive a vehicle without advanced driver assistance systems like full on level four or five autonomy and if people want to take the "massive risk" of driving for themselves and they will be relegated to closed automotive courses and designated slow speed back roads. How interesting.

    What people miss to understand regarding the price is that you pay the fuel cost upfront so you really have to compare Tesla with a much cheaper car from a quality stand point of view, because in the end if you consider it expensive maybe you should have a second thought buying one 20k cheaper because maybe you can’t afford that either consideri g the fuel cost and service during a 5 year period or more

    • @dzerres
      @dzerres 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      zero to sixty used to be the bragging rights for all the Porsches, BMWs and American muscle cars. Suddenly when Tesla cuts that time in HALF now everyone is worried about body panels and paint inside the door hinges. "All it's got going for it is acceleration" YES, yes, yes. AND WE LOVE THAT. Come on, pull up your Corvette next to me at the next red light. You'll cry that you wasted $1,000 on those glass packs. My Model 3 went from 4.4 second 0-60 to 3.7 a year AFTER I bought it with an over-the-air update. Tell me how you plan to do that with your C63.

    • @FastRedPonyCar
      @FastRedPonyCar 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dzerres There are some 3.0 second and even DRAGY documented 2.9 second 0-60 times now from the model 3 performance owners. The 2 second club is an incredibly distinguished group of supercars... for a $55k family sedan to be slipping in there with them is truly insane. It's nipping at the heels of the Ludicrous mode Model X P100D and P90D. It's faster in the quarter mile than a Red Eye Hellcat and Jeep Trackhawk and about on par with the C8 vette and ZR1 Camaro.
      Also, Chris Harris recently beat the Alfa Romeo Gulia Quadrifoglio's time (and an M3) on a Top Gear road course with the model 3 performance so despite it's heft, it's AWD and instant power out of corners gives it the edge when the road isn't straight.

      Gordon Warlow I come from Germany and this brand is absolutely praised to heaven. Usually we Germans have very high quality standards for a car that seems to be completely different at Tesla. There is also not so good service here in Germany. So you can assume that Tesla puts everything that goes into the car and you expect a little more. bad workmanship and not good service and then no longer as little things as what. no vehicle is delivered without defects. I would like to switch to an electric car, it doesn't make it easy. the Polestar 2 is shortlisted

    The interior looks so streamlined and futuristic and I do admire Tesla as a relatively new manufacturer BUT having all basic functions routed through the main screen is hugely distracting and dangerous on the move. Physical controls are far better. Reliability and build quality issues would put me off ever buying this car. More established manufacturers will do better when they catch up to this level of electric car not that i would buy an electric car anytime soon. Electric cars are simply not for everyone. Fully autonomous cars which are safe are about 15-20 years away. I'm sure the Tesla fanboys will have something to say!!

    • @jamesparson
      @jamesparson 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @belikepanda.
      @belikepanda. 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Having all controls on one big screen is probably just matter of getting used to. I don't understand why you wouldn't want to be able to control your car from your phone app so i don't support your opinion on physical controls being better.
      Regarding build quality issues i can only say that Tesla service seems pretty good and they are drastically improving every time they find an opportunity to.
      I would love to know what manufacturer has the technology Tesla has. Tesla's Autopilot has driven over 3 Billion miles and gathered tons of data. I can't say that i understand how you can catch up to that kind of lead.
      Why do you want to wait for fully autonomous cars, which are only safe(not safer) in 15-20 years? Tesla's partly autonomous cars are already ~2-4x safer.

    • @belikepanda.
      @belikepanda. 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      not to forget build quality isn't an issue anymore: th-cam.com/channels/j--iMtToRO_cGG_fpmP5XQ.html this guy is a professional and has torn down the model y recently and talks about all that stuff.

    • @NobbyOnCars

      Jesus that guy is insane! The level of detail in what he did!!

    • @eamonnmcdermott1939
      @eamonnmcdermott1939 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@belikepanda. A Tesla fanboy responded, as i predicted! It's my opinion (and that of many critics) that physical controls are a safer way to operate while the vehicle is being driven regardless whether it is on autopilot (which is illegal to use in Ireland currently).What happens if the screen fails completely? The car becomes very difficult to operate, if it can be driven at all. This would not occur with a conventional car.
      Build quality still seems to be an issue dogging Tesla. I have not seen one review which has praised the build quality given their price. The following video is that of a recent review of the model Y th-cam.com/video/Z0r-vC-RHkU/w-d-xo.html . A Lexus employee would be fired if they passed on these types of issues, not that Lexus would ever sell a car of such poor build quality.. For the price you pay for a Tesla it's just not good enough. In fact even the worst conventional manufacturers would not sell a vehicle with that level of poor build quality.
      If it happens that Tesla improves their reliability and build quality I might genuinely consider one if they beat Lexus for the next 20 years!
      Fully autonomous cars are a long way off regardless of the 3 billion miles driven by Tesla. They are alright for dual carriageways and motorways but still are far behind the sharp decision making power of the human brain, especially with the complexity of driving in a city. No matter what Tesla comes up with they will never be able to deal with all of the many unexpected issues that can arise when driving on a daily basis, especially bad drivers.
      Personally I actually enjoy the physical sensations of driving, (I drive a car with an ICE) being in control of my car. I would rather drive myself rather than let a computer system drive me! Plus I don't need to worry about battery degradation.
      Also electric cars are simply not an option for ALL potential customers unlike cars with an ICE. It takes me four minutes to fill my diesel car and get about 900km range which will last about two weeks and i don't have range anxiety. It will be a long time before an EV will be able to do that!
