While there are a lot of women that are stereotypically shy, germophobic and dainty, there are also many women that are tomboyish, unafraid of getting dirty and assertive. Thought I'd miss the dials behind the steering wheel, but now I can't stand having too look through the spokes of the wheel on other cars anymore... The placement to the right is always visible and works surprisingly good!
I think so too. But then again I can usually feel my speed really well. I don't mind glancing over but everyone has different ability to shift focus near and far.

Yes, but it’s not possible due to safety issues I think. Even when hacking the car, it should turn when you turn the wheel. By implementing a way to disconnect the steering wheel movement from the actual wheels, you are making the car unsafe. Even when the software doesn’t allow you to play the game when driving. Computers can do weird things sometimes when people mess with them

I thought it was mandatory that there is some sort of mechanical connection from the steering wheel to the wheels of the car, so that if all else fails, you can still turn, just as it is mandatory to have two independent direct links from your brake pedal to the brakes of the car.

I was following a Tesla Model 3 Performance just a couple of weeks back, while running errands for self isolators during the Covid pandemic. It was the first day that people were beginning to be allowed a bit more freedom, so there were more cars again. Being more cars again they tried a little bit of much missed traffic jamming. Then suddenly there was a tiny gap that I could never have accelerated through with my slouch car, but the Tesla went from say 40mph to 70mph, and didn't seem to pass through 50 and 60 to get there. Of course that couldn't be, but I'm not kidding, it actually looked instantaneous. Before I noticed my mouth had dropped open in surprise, the Tesla was a dark blue dot. Even the memory of it astonishes me.

Having been into automotive stuff since the 1990s Ive seen people worry about repairs and modding every time new tech hits, but people always find a way and often it is better. Tuning cars with a laptop is a dream compared to a carb for instance. I do hope Tesla gets better on right to repair issues though.

I would use the Emissions testing system whenever my mother was in the car. I do like that it doesn’t take itself too seriously. I’m not sure if I’m ready for full auto pilot, but maybe in a few years. It can’t account for other drivers mistakes which could make lane changes a little scary. Faux leather wears a lot faster than the real thing and I can see it showing after a few years. Multi purpose buttons are a great idea.
I use dog mode on my wife when she wants to chill in the car and sleep while I go into the stores. lol

Why does this game console come with a car attached to it?
25:15 our main family car is a 2009 toyota verso "executive edition" (not sure if you have those in america). instead of being right in front of you, the gauge cluster is positioned near the middle of the dashboard, angled towards the driver. it's quite a cool and unique design, and it makes the road in front of you more visible.
I think “Fart Mode” was literally designed with Doug in mind.

As a Tesla owner, I completely disagree. We love these cars precisely BECAUSE they don't slap us in the face as we drive. There are no face slaps of any kind - no service visits, not stinky gas station visits, no fluid changes, no spark plug changes, no nothing. Just incredible performance and comfort, unbelievable tech, and ultimately it's Car 2.0. THAT is why we love them.
Doug's comment implies that we are somehow blind to any kind of problem with the vehicle because we are somehow brainwashed. The only people who could voice such crap are those who don't live with such amazing cars. The fact that he can giggle like a schoolgirl with how the car handles and still come back to slap it and the owners is annoying.

I just got my 2023 model 3 performance. What settings where talking about in your last run? Did you route to a supercharger before your run?
It's now worth an extra point since the power update, also older samples do it now. Just sub 3.

Whats kinda funny is that "gas pedal" is also wrong... its really the "air pedal" lol.
My brother got the one below that just last week, the Dual Motor one. Quite good acceleration considering my own car is fifty years old and has sub 80 bhp. His one has a sort of wood trim and the vegan leather is quite good. Between the frunk and the trunk or boot, there's a lot of carrying capacity. Not tall enough to fit a lawnmover. He's getting a roof rack (although the angled roof might be a tiny issue) and he has a tow hitch, but hasn't fitted. The fitting of the tow hitch is a bit hard compared to the VW ID4 which almost automates it, but I suppose tow hitches go far more with the ID 4 as a cross over.
I bought the Tesla 3....love it..great car...and your 2017 Tesla 3 video played a part in my purchase of my Tesla Model 3 Performance edition.

So much of the car is software. Had ours almost 2 years now and the software updates keeps it feeling new
The world has gone mad. Once upon a time, a horse was a good vehicle to get around.
It was 100% eco friendly.
It warmed itself and was ready in any weather.
It consumed 100% organic fuel.
It returned beneficial substance back to the soil.
It was self-summoning.
It responded to voice command.
It provided companionship, even loyalty.
It refueled itself, for free as a matter of survival.
It was all-terrain, going places no modern vehicle can go.
It reproduced itself so younger up to date models replaced old models.
It was mostly silent when in motion.
It was able to move in deep snow, through a river, over a desert, over a mountain, through a valley.
It could detect things the rider couldn't often see and avoid them.
It could communicate with other horses when necessary, and did not risk collision.
All of this without coal plants, oil wells, foundaries, mineral mines, charging stations, paved roads, sonar, radar, motion detection, facial recognition, satellite swarm, artificial intelligence, an army of corporations and supply chains, computer grid, and heated garages.
And today people think an EV is the future.

It means cars arent really cars anymore, all teslas specs are just for flexing purposes.
Doug complains about the performance 3 not having cooled seats but gives a $250k mcclaren gt a pass on that while he’s sweating profusely during his review of it. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
different types of cars that happen to be around the same speed. you get into a performance car you kind of expect issues, its low so may be harder to get in and out of, features removed to save weight, normally 2 seaters so not good for main family car and so on. the model 3 is a family car (that happens to be quick) but you still want the family comfort features
@@vapour80 but the mcclaren gt is supposed to be just that....a gt (grand tourer). With that being the case, the first guy has a valid point that's hard to argue.

Important to note, ALL of these new features were free over the air software updates, older teslas get as well.

nope not all because some don't have full autopilot hardware or don't have autopilot hardware i think 2.5 or higher.
No they don't. Any Tesla Model S or X built before March 2018 is not getting any of the games or other new cool features because "their computers are too old".
Model 3s do get almost all of these features, except Track Mode which is only available on a Model 3 Performance. The Model 3 has actually gotten even better since this review was completed as Tesla delivered a 5% power boost and improvements to everyday driving (one pedal driving) via an OTA software update. The one that Doug reviewed didn't have this update yet.

Not surprising, considering this Tesla 3 Performance has a 0-60mph time that matches the "Greatest Car Ever Made", the Mclaren F1, at 3.2 seconds.
