I’m in the same boat. Your videos about the car, accessories, what to expect and so on really helped me when I bought mine just over a year ago. It helped that the quality and ascetic of your videos is top notch! 👌🏾Thanks for producing them!
I really want to but can’t decide on a color I really was set on black then saw a white one irl next to a black and it really popped but also, they have midnight silver metallic for free
Got my M3 last February. Same issue with the door’s alignment. Also one taillight letting water in. Tesla technician came to my house to fix both issues. No other issues since. Very happy with mine. Never cared to drive a car before but now I enjoy driving my car every time. The acceleration and handling are just amazing. Charging at home is awesome, and the active safety features have saved me from a small fender bender probably more than once. Watching Netflix while charging during a road trip is great.
Very informative and honest video as usual. Your videos were one of the reasons I finally decided to buy a Model 3 LR and I have never regretted that decision! I have just turned 10k kilometers with mine in about 14 months of ownership and I agree with all your points. The first really long trip in one of these cars is truly a rite of passage: you realize not only that it can be done without much hassle, but that those stops that you thought would be annoying are actually perfectly spaced during the trip and give you a much needed chance to stretch your legs or grab a bite.
Spot on mate! I think once you've made the switch, you realise it's not that bad. Unless you're someone who likes to drive for 350+ miles without stopping once, the Tesla just works.
Been seriously looking forward to this video, especially after binge watching all of your Tesla videos recently for the second time which made me completely change my perception of them from thinking of them as a gimmick to actually planning to order one. I have seen a lot of people give out about the price of electric going up at chargers but I think if you’re buying one to solely charge at super chargers it’s obviously going to cost a lot more. Loved the cost breakdown of having a home charger, the money saved from if you done that milage in a diesel or petrol is insane. It’s great showing the proof that there is also a lot to be said for some small planning ahead and utilising free chargers. Personally I think there’s no compression to any diesel and most petrols, when you take the money your saving into account with the monthly cost of finance for example it can be drastically reduced, not to mention the value they are holding. I’ll always have a “fun” car myself like a mk1 Mx5 as well but I am 100% converted to buying a Tesla purely thanks to your videos. As usual your content is just top quality - brilliant video mate and genuinely thank you for providing the most informative and best Tesla content there is.
I totally agree with all you comments. I’m still in love with my M3 after 2 years. It is an awesome vehicle that still amazes me after 28000miles. Great review
I completed a road trip from Glasgow to Inverness and then the full North Coast 500 and back home and no issues on charging availability anywhere (except Inverness) but Tesla. Chargers plentiful, other public chargers pretty poor.
Your calm and down-to-earth manner is a pleasant change from the hyped-up over-the-top style so often seen on youtube. Really informative video. While I work for a different car manufacturer, you just have to admit that Tesla's customer experience is really top-notch.
Thank you, your videos gave me the confidence to buy a Model 3 LR, which I picked up in December last year. Since then I have done almost 15000 miles and regularly travel over 300 miles in a day without any issues. Currently planing (hoping) to do a road-trip to southern Spain in January, via France and Andorra. The poiint that you make very clearly is that these cars are just as capable as fuel cars but better in so many ways. Looking forward to hearing how you get on with the Model Y.
First of all, amazing video quality. Didn't feel like I was watching a video recorded on iPhone. Secondly, great review Chris, you have beautifully covered everything from an owner's perspective in your trademark calm and methodic style. A pleasant watch altogether.
Dude, you're a genius. I don't understand English, but I watch with subtitles, and I'm amazed at the quality of the visuals in your videos. I was shocked when I found out that everything was shot on an iPhone. I've practically watched all of your videos again. I'm in awe of the quality of your videos, in many ways they're even better than those shot by people with cameras worth 5-7 thousand dollars.
I have over 60,000 miles on my model three and it’s the best car I’ve had. I replaced a BMW M3 and IMO the electric drivetrain beats ICE in every possible way. I’ve seen significantly lower costs to run (about 1/4 the equivalent gas cost here in America), also charge at home every night, and I’ve also done 3000 mile journeys with zero issues. I highly doubt I will ever buy a standard gas car again.
I too intended to get the Model Y, but I have decided that the ride quality and interior acoustics are a deal breaker for me. I would prefer the extra space and hatchback. Decided to stick with model 3 LR and move to Y when they get air suspension
you and me both, test drove both the 3 and the y today. I really wanted to like the Y and was actually somewhat biased towards getting it but just couldn't, it is worse than the 3 in literally every way except for its size. If it had air suspension and some better sound insulation I would've gone for the Y without a second thought. Maybe in the future. Am now in contact with a couple leasing companies and if all goes well I'll put down my order for a model 3 long range somewhere next week.
Hi Chris, I watched all of your videos before I ordered a Model 3 which arrived from China at the end of May. No issues with panel gaps or paintwork. It has been fantastic to drive and is the best car I’ve ever had. Only problem has been “right door pillar camera blocked or blinded” which mainly occurs with low winter sun. I contacted my service centre and they checked remotely that there was no problem. It doesn’t affect the driving but is a little disconcerting. Your 1000 miles road trip is often shown to friends as an example to convince them that range anxiety isn’t a problem. There is a new supercharger in Camborne so Cornwall is much easier. I live on the South coast and managed trips to West Wales (v few Superchargers) and to Manchester- absolutely zero problem. I hope to change to a Model Y when 4680 batteries are available in a couple of years. Thanks again for your videos they helped so much.
Just ordered a Model 3 yesterday. They say it will be delivered in March. The test drive was amazing. The acceleration is phenomenal. The touch screen will take time to get accustomed to especially for my wife who is not as electronic capable as myself. Looking forward to delivery.
i had 2021 model 3 standard range, sold it for a ram 1500 (needed for business), didnt last 4 weeks with the truck, so boring compared to tesla. Sold truck for a 2016 model s 90d, and now my Model Y performance is about 4-6 weeks away. you are gonna love the model y
Mate I have followed your channel for two years and due to your videos I have ordered model Y. Hoping to take delivery soon. Thanks mate for helping me transition to electric.
Recently picked up my Model Y Performance and love it more and more every time I drive. It has a lot more room compared to the Model 3 but not as big/bulky looking, in my opinion, as the Model X. You will love the Y. As for any issues, i haven't had any really besides missing rear carbon fiber spoiler on pick up day due to a shortage in parts. Two weeks later, tesla came out to my house and installed it.
I've done 33k miles in my M3 LR AWD in 2 years. Had to replace right front suspension bush (under warranty). Approximately 2% battery attrition. Tail lamp LED blown(half segment) last week. Booking for this , along with a service soon. Very happy with the car.

Love your honest 2 year review. I ordered my model 3 long range and my estimated delivery was mar 12 to mar 31, but yesterday I got an update and now looking at feb 23 to mar 23. Can't wait!!!!
Didnt know you got the 3.7s boost! Your videos helped me with my decision to get a model 3 back in April! 2018 long range AWD. Good stuff man, glad to see your channel take off since then
Awesome video 👏🏻 - would buy one tomorrow if they were available in my country, but sadly, don't expect to see them here soon. Would love to go electric though and with every year the tech and cars just get better!
This was incredible timing! I just found your channel and watched your 1 year review a couple hours ago. I saw you say you got it in November and thought "Oh two years must be coming up soon" and here it is!
Thanks for the long-term review. I'm coming up on my first year with me 2021 LR, and I binged all your videos in preparation. Looking forward to seeing your take on the Y, as I'm considering that one as my replacement when time comes.
The 1 trade off that many car enthusiasts note from transitioning to an EV is the lack of an exhaust note in favour of faster acceleration times. If I were to buy an electric car within the next 5 years, I would miss not having a note at first, but would eventually grow used to it because the fast acceleration and efficiency of electricity makes up for it.
Totally agree mate. That's my thinking too. I've had a 335i, 350Z (V6) and an Audi TT, all sounded awesome. But this is just different, it's hard to explain.
I am so jealous of your Tesla, this is how I found your channel back in 2019! What a time to be driving an EV with these fuel costs at the moment. Just wish I could find a good deal per month for a Model 3
December 20, 2019 will be my second anniversary of my first EV - Tesla Model 3 Performance with FSD. The longest trip was a 4,200 mile trip from Colorado to southwest Florida and back. I’ve put 27,630 miles on it to date. Like you, it’s had a couple of hiccups. Nevertheless, I would not go back to a gas car, there is almost no advantage to a petrol car, but there are many disadvantages. Thank you for your review. Stay safe and healthy!
Big thanks for all your vids. You were key into my decision making and I've been a model 3 owner since May. I never used the free supercharger miles just didn't have opportunity. Really looking forward to how you get on with the Y.
Great Video and welcome back. The problem for me is no off street parking and keeping it charged up in winter months. But come next year I might well take the plunge...it's all doable in the end I think...PM
Thanks PM! I think eventually we'll all be driving electric. Hopefully the local councils can sort offstreet charging (lamp posts) for those without a drive. That would solve a huge restriction.
I don’t have a Tesla. I have an electric van. And I had no idea about octopus go. I though as the current energy crises being what it is that deal won’t be there. But it is. Thank you!!!! It now costs me a pound to fill up!!!
Last time I commented I said my Model 3 is 1 monath away. That was 1 year ago now. ;) I can just sign everything you said. You'll definitely be happy with the Model Y "family upgrade". Greetings from Germany.
Hello! Just wanted to say your channel is *genuinely* my favorite source of content on TH-cam. Thank you for creating such engaging, unique, and positively awesome videos. Wishing the best to you.
Watched all of your Tesla videos as I was looking to get a Model 3 but apprehensive about a lot of things, firstly charging which as you've said isn't really an issue and secondly the quality of the overall car. Although I agree there shouldn't be issues upon arrival, I feel that the fact they're able to rectify these issues so easily makes up for that. I've gone ahead and ordered the M3LR with your experience as part of the reason for that so thank you for the videos, you really do a great job. Hopefully take delivery this month, just waiting for a test from Tesla any day now.
just recently found your channel after finally making the decision to buy a model 3, expected delivery feb 2022, and I cant wait. Your videos are awesome mate, great quality content and so professional in terms of cinematography and sound. Keep up the good work fella Looking forward to seeing some videos next year on the model y :)
Thanks SpawnPoiint for the video I order the model 3 standard range plus this November I’m excited to get my tesla I knew I wanted a EV ever since I test drove it thanks again for the video you it really answered all my questions on certain concerns :)
I actually went from a Model 3 LR to a Model Y Performance a year ago and let me just warn you, if ride comfort is a factor at all... don't get the Performance. It's so so rough. Still love it and adore it, but wish I could swap the base wheels onto it :)
That's a really interesting insight, I appreciate that. How rough are we talking? I think I need to test one (which is tough, assuming there won't be any to test before delivery).
@@SpawnPoiint Over smooth-ish pavement, I would say it's acceptable if you're used to sports cars. But if you have rough road / potholes like I do, it's almost a dealbreaker. Very jarring for passengers. There is almost no sidewall with those Uberturbines and the sport suspension doesn't help. Maybe you could check out the revised Model 3 Performance with Uberturbines to get a general sense?
The moment you drive one is the moment you are dead set on buying one. I test drove the Model3 and bought it 2 days later. I now own the model3 and a modelY one black one white. My wife drives the Y and I drive the 3, which she is absolutely in love with the Y. I kid around and tell her we can trade it in for a lexus or BMW but she gives me the death look.
Enjoyed that, especially the running costs, Wow… I don’t like them but appreciate what they do and give you.. I’ve gone electric (Q4) and looking forward to it.. it’s where we’re all going, so let’s do it now I say and save some money before it’s goes up!!!
Thanks SP I've only just found this because I forgot to subscribe before! You have made up my mind to pull my finger out and order a model three. A very informative and useful video.
You are an amazing youtuber! I was watching your youtube channel since you picked up your model 3. And i personally think, that you are one of the best (if not the best) tech youtuber in UK. Keep up with the great content!
Thanks for sharing this video, Chris. Great quality as always. Brings back memories when I binged your videos a year ago whilst waiting for my car. Look forward to seeing the Model Y video when it comes out.
My wife and I are seriously considering a Tesla Model3 LR, but the issue we have is that our cars are parked on a public road outside the house (no driveway) and home charging would be an issue.
I've ordered a UK Model Y. I'm tempted to test drive a 3 in preparation, but also sort of looking forward to that first time untainted when it happens some time early next year. I've definitely consumed my fair share of Tesla videos over the past two years whilst waiting for the UK Model Y release!
@Terry Humphries, Congratulations. You wouldn't regret the decision, and be braced for a new "addiction", in spite of few things which you may not like. I would have loved if phone calls could be made from steering wheel buttons . Others wish to have Apple play and Android auto, which Tesla wouldn't allow. It's not a perfect car, but nothing is perfect. You will still love it
Great content as always! I'm personally holding out for a BMW i4 for our next upgrade. My trust in German engineering is unwavering after our 3 series experience.
I'm not loyal to Tesla, so if something comes along that ticks all the boxes (charging network is the big one for me) I'll swap. With the testing currently ongoing with Tesla opening their network to non-Tesla cars, this could be a HUGE benefit to owning any other car.
The only thing stopping me from getting one is the price. My current situation doesn't permit me to pay 600 eur or whatever it is a month if I want it financed. I'll just have to admire it from afar and enjoy my e46 BMW coupe until I can afford the only electric car I would buy.
Ordered Model 3 LR as well. They delayed delivery to this Saturday since the car had not yet arrived. Hopefully that will be the only delay. I've waited years to finally be able to get a Tesla, and finally, that wait is almost over 😁😁😁
Also with 2k down it’s still a £663 a month payment and using your maths for electric let’s say it’s £10 a month so £673 and it’s just a very expensive car. You could buy premium saloon or hot hatches for less money with running costs. I’d love one but because the monthly costs don’t appear to be any cheaper it’s a bit of a non starter for me I think.
Been thinking about getting one for awhile now. Having a BMW, the cost of premium gas piles up monthly. Hopefully this will be reliable sand won’t break my bank when it comes to repairs if there will be any
Great video mate. Much appreciated. How do you find the artificial seats compared to genuine leather seats that you get in premium cars? Are they ventilated well or hold up your sweat and heat in summer? The durability after the two years? Any stains or scratches?
Great review, really enjoy the videos. Had my M3 for just over a year and only had one issue with the heating, that they remote diagnosed and informed me about! You should see an improvement in the winter range with the MY having a heat pump. Also, saw you on the M42 in the summer :)
I enjoy your content,. I've been watching your Tesla videos for a while now, since I was in my home country (Zimbabwe) I've relocated to the UK now and this video will be part of the case that I am building to convince my wife for us to get a Model 3, so Cheers!! Wish me luck.
Costs of ownership should include depreciation as well, because this price an owner will pay when selling. These 4K difference in fuel costs may be easily covered by depreciation as it is well-known that EVs depreciate faster than internal combustion cars.
love this. been thinking about a tesla but really wanted to know how it played out on a day to day in terms of charging. 2 year review, genius! Just what I was looking for. Now, its do I order or not? lol. Thanks man
I hope you enjoyed my long term review of the Model 3! It's been an awesome two years so far.

I’m getting the SR+ tomorrow. Is the accel still pretty fast ?
@@djcook Congrats! Absolutely, way more power than you actually really need on the road. You won’t be disappointed!
@@djcook HOW IS IT?
Had a test drive today and after that and these great videos, I’ve gone ahead and ordered one!
Wow that’s awesome! Enjoy mate.
Damn bro, your channel is flying now. Picked up my Tesla a year ago after watching your reviews and still loving the car.
Thank you 🙏
Awesome video 👏🏻 - would buy one tomorrow if they were available in my country, but sadly, don't expect to see them here soon. Would love to go electric though and with every year the tech and cars just get better!
This was incredible timing! I just found your channel and watched your 1 year review a couple hours ago. I saw you say you got it in November and thought "Oh two years must be coming up soon" and here it is!
No way, haha, that's awesome. Well hopefully you enjoyed this one as much as last years.
@@SpawnPoiint Oh I did. Such a great review!
Thanks for the long-term review. I'm coming up on my first year with me 2021 LR, and I binged all your videos in preparation. Looking forward to seeing your take on the Y, as I'm considering that one as my replacement when time comes.
Thanks for watching too.
Enjoy watching all of your videos, keep doing your thing dude 👍🏼
Thanks Patrick!
I am so jealous of your Tesla, this is how I found your channel back in 2019!
What a time to be driving an EV with these fuel costs at the moment.
Just wish I could find a good deal per month for a Model 3
the video the editing, IMMACULATE!
Thank you mate, I appreciate that.
Great comment, nice to hear you’re enjoying it too. I wonder how many make the switch then do go back to gas.
Big thanks for all your vids. You were key into my decision making and I've been a model 3 owner since May. I never used the free supercharger miles just didn't have opportunity. Really looking forward to how you get on with the Y.
Thank you for watching and sticking around too. Great to hear you’re happy with yours.
Mate I remember binge watching all your videos before my collection date and loved it. Then I saw you got into gaming. Heaven. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for sticking around mate.
That was 1 year ago now. ;)
I can just sign everything you said.
Thanks for watching too 🙏
Model 3 is my favourite looking Tesla. It is just stunning
Ordered mine back in October waiting for a delivery date, hoping that it wont be another 6 months!!
That’s great! Enjoy the new car!
Amazing video quality!
Thank you mate. This is the first video I used the iPhone's Cinematic mode (for some of the clips). That fake bokeh isn't bad at all.
@@SpawnPoiint Well as a video editor i barely noticed it. Apple did a great job with iPhone video
Very detailed review. Thanks, Chris.
Thank you!
just recently found your channel after finally making the decision to buy a model 3, expected delivery feb 2022, and I cant wait.
Your videos are awesome mate, great quality content and so professional in terms of cinematography and sound.
Keep up the good work fella
Looking forward to seeing some videos next year on the model y :)
That's awesome Joe, thanks for watching and commenting! Enjoy the new car (in Feb haha).
Thanks SpawnPoiint for the video I order the model 3 standard range plus this November I’m excited to get my tesla I knew I wanted a EV ever since I test drove it thanks again for the video you it really answered all my questions on certain concerns :)
That's great to hear! I'm pleased it helped.
Thanks for these videos! Helped me decide I wanted one and help with the waiting. Mine arrives Friday!
That’s awesome! Enjoy 🤙
Thank you 🙏 enjoy the new car.
Glad you have done this 2 year vid. Loving this video. And the model Y would be music to my ears thanks again for the video 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Thank you mate
I've enjoyed 18 months of my model 3 ownership. I love the car. I have zero complaints. Zero.
That's great to hear too!
You are an amazing youtuber! I was watching your youtube channel since you picked up your model 3. And i personally think, that you are one of the best (if not the best) tech youtuber in UK. Keep up with the great content!
Thank you for the support 🙏
Love the camera work 😍
Thank you Ryan mate
Looking forward to 2022 and full in depth review of your MY! 🖤
Thank you.
Thanks for sharing this video, Chris. Great quality as always. Brings back memories when I binged your videos a year ago whilst waiting for my car. Look forward to seeing the Model Y video when it comes out.
Thank you mate 🙏
My wife and I are seriously considering a Tesla Model3 LR, but the issue we have is that our cars are parked on a public road outside the house (no driveway) and home charging would be an issue.
I’ll never be able to afford half the stuff on this channel but I still love watching the videos. Keep up the good work man.
Thanks for watching 🙏
Don’t say never man
@@Yancyik ok man
I've ordered a UK Model Y. I'm tempted to test drive a 3 in preparation, but also sort of looking forward to that first time untainted when it happens some time early next year.
I've definitely consumed my fair share of Tesla videos over the past two years whilst waiting for the UK Model Y release!
Oh mate that's great! Looking forward to 2022 with the Y.
Love it!! My car has been confirmed for 15th December and I can not wait!! The model 3 looks to be amazing
Ah mate, you're going to love it.
Crazy...you're very local! Recognised the Minster and Flemingate - great vid again, been watch your stuff a while now!
Oh wow, that's awesome mate!
Look forward to watching new M.Y content
Thank you 🙏
Just posted my 2 year review as well. What a car!
I’m in NZ and we recently ordered a Tesla 3 LR DM, it’s due in about a month, thanks for the encouragement 👍
@@SpawnPoiint other car manufacturers are sucking at EVs right now. Efficiency, range or something super important is always missing.
Bmw simply is not there for EV vehicles. I love BMW and their models but honestly best bang for your buck by literally MILES is TESLA AND ONLY TESLA.
@@darrylphillips6301 100% agreed
you actually covered a lot of things and accurately.... thanks....
Thank you!
Picked up a model y performance last week. Best purchase
Your editing Is class 👌
Thank you mate.
Love the vinyl plates, I bought them myself based on your previous videos !
Great choice, I think they make a nice difference. It's the best we can do with having to use them.
amazing video love watching your vids keep up the good work
Thank you!
Even though I’m in no hurry to buy an ev. But your Tesla content has really caught my attention 🤩
The only thing stopping me from getting one is the price. My current situation doesn't permit me to pay 600 eur or whatever it is a month if I want it financed. I'll just have to admire it from afar and enjoy my e46 BMW coupe until I can afford the only electric car I would buy.
You really make the iPhone feel like a pro camera, great vid !
Thank you mate. Love using it.
Ordered Model 3 LR as well. They delayed delivery to this Saturday since the car had not yet arrived. Hopefully that will be the only delay. I've waited years to finally be able to get a Tesla, and finally, that wait is almost over 😁😁😁
Same! My est date is 12/21-12/31. Congratulations!!
Enjoy the new car both of you!
Hopefully this will be reliable sand won’t break my bank when it comes to repairs if there will be any
Fabulous video. Very well put together and excellent camera work. And it's all just what I wanted to hear.
I collect my Model 3 tomorrow .......!
Good to hear from you again.
Thank you Robi.
Great honest video. Very informative. Keep up the great content 👍🏻
Thank you 🙏
Great video mate.
Thanks for watching. As you say the MY should see some nice updates to what I’m used to now.
This is where I'd put my Tesla Model 3 ... If I had one. Well definitely would like to own one but can't afford it yet. Great video!
Excellent review. Every thing well explained. Look forward to seeing your model Y review. All the best.
Thank you Sj
Finally the Tesla video is back! Amazing content mate.
Thank you Fahed!
I enjoy your content,. I've been watching your Tesla videos for a while now, since I was in my home country (Zimbabwe) I've relocated to the UK now and this video will be part of the case that I am building to convince my wife for us to get a Model 3, so Cheers!! Wish me luck.
You’re an inspiration SpawnPoiint, I’m a Nigerian.
Thanks for this review! You sold me, I’m ready to buy a model 3!
Great video mate.
I love that you used music in this video, hopefully you can put more music in your videos.
Thank you. Just testing the waters (this video and my last one) with music.
@@SpawnPoiint
A welcome test
Costs of ownership should include depreciation as well, because this price an owner will pay when selling. These 4K difference in fuel costs may be easily covered by depreciation as it is well-known that EVs depreciate faster than internal combustion cars.
Looks like you have used the Cinematic Mode of the iPhone 13 Pro or Pro Max in the intro. It looks good!
Yes, good spot. My first time using it on here (other than the test shots on the unboxing video for the iPhone).
Thanks for this Tesla content. Have really missed it over the last several months.
Sorry mate, and thanks too.
Would you recommend a 2020 model 3 today in 2024? I can't justify the price for any newer models.
Best review I've seen so far. Thanks
Thank you!
I’ve miss your Tesla videosit’s always amazing thank you,the car looks great, I’m looking forward to get one soon 🤩
Thanks mate.
Nice review dude. Hoping to buy a model 3 later this year
Thank you
love this. been thinking about a tesla but really wanted to know how it played out on a day to day in terms of charging. 2 year review, genius! Just what I was looking for. Now, its do I order or not? lol. Thanks man
No worries at all mate, not many will do a review after 2 years, so hopefully it helps a few.
