I traded my 2017 Gt 350 for a egg shaped y performance. Love the tech, great handling, comfort and effortless torque and speed! Haven’t been to a gas station since June 5th 2021. Thanks for being open minded.
I was on the fence on whether to get a Y performance or model 3 performance. I have 2 young daughters under 4 yrs . Just ordered the model 3 performance few days ago . I couldn’t get past the egg shape or the ninja turtle look . In some angles it’s looks good especially in the 21 “ staggered turbine wheels . But I’m reality it’s not much bigger than the model 3 , just higher seating & more cargo .
I've got a Giulia Ti Sport and a Model Y LR for the wife. The Alfa has the seats, looks, paint, and engagement but the Tesla drivetrain is just ridiculous and hard to fault. Having all your HP, within a half second and at any speed really elevates your confidence in everyday traffic and one pedal driving rocks. Also regardless of what you read on FB, these are hands down the safest vehicles you can buy. My wife was t-boned in ours at 50 mph by a reckless driver and the stiff pack under the passenger cell 100 percent saved her life.

it does really good on long trips, you should use regen braking the cars motors slow the car down by it self and it dosnt use the brakes. they act like genarators and charge your car back up. on road trips i gain a lot of miles by using it.
If you want the car to brake stronger when letting off the accelerator, set Regenerative Braking to Standard. I hardly ever use the brakes on my M3P. One-pedal driving is one of the best features of this car, love it!
Thanks for your honest thoughts on this. I was an Alfa owner and used to watch your videos. I always wondered why anyone did not compare the Alfa with Tesla as they have a lot in common in how they drive and how they approach driving fun. Yours is the first video in that category. I had a Stelvio Ti Sport and recently moved to a Tesla Model Y SR. Fun fact is that both had same 0-60 of 5.3 seconds. When test driving any EV, only Tesla excited me as an Alfa owner. It was natural that I switched to Model Y when the Alfa lease was up. Coming from Alfa, the build quality and ride quality both were not as good as the Stelvio. But, the steering and one pedal driving blew my mind. My only wish currently is to wait for Alfa to come out with an EV as I don't think anyone else can match with Tesla in how they approached the driving enjoyment, especially in the price range.

Hello SF Tech. You comment is interesting. I wrote in my other post that the Tesla models are not yet in par as far as handling in sharp curvy roads is concerned. In straight line the sprint speed is superior since it is an EV car. We will be able to make a fair comparison only when other sports car brands start making EV's. Tesla needs to improve the overall handling in all types of roads and the sports car brands need to come up with a good mix of handling integrating the new technology of EV's. Can you explain better what ride quality you were not satisfied with Tesla compare to Alfa?
@@Pisces514 Tesla is pretty harsh on rough roads. You feel a lot of imperfections from the road. But Alfa was much better even with sport tuned suspension. Many Tesla owners have the same complaint.
As for downshift, play with the regen, that should give you more feeling. Paddles are in some EVs but that's for regen control. Don't think a gear shifter is a thing for EV production, tho Taycan and Audi GT have a type of low/high gearbox. Check out the upcoming Kia EV6 GT 😉
I don''t mean to be rude to Auto Fanatic or some commenters below, but a geared EV with shifters makes absolutely no sense. Because of the way the motors work, EVs have 100% torque at 0 RPM and can maintain this over a huge range of RPM, unlike an ICE. A gearbox with shifters would add nothing, in fact it would slow the car down thanks to the momentary loss of power during shifts (and the added weight).
Planning to get one in about 4-5 years. Hopefully the next iteration will be out by then and include some significant upgrades like a center screen or some crazy advanced HUD, and upgraded styling on the front-end.
I’ve had my 2022 model 3 performance for over a yr now . Absolutely the best all around daily driver. 500hp at 95% battery 🔋 + warm battery. Lots of truck space (especially the bottom where a spare tire / gas tank / exhaust normally sits). Easy to clean cuz no buttons on the inside. Also tech obvious most advanced car (I just got FSD beta). Also as a mild offroader not too bad. I got an aluminum skid plate and this thing is so much fun in sand dunes , and even in the mud . One major problem about mud off-roading in a M3P is the car has no mudflaps and wide wheels, so it will spray the entire side and roof with mud if you off-road the shit out of it. Another very key point for people who get the performance is “track mode “ doesn’t make the car any faster it might actually make it slower. The only thing it does is disable traction, control, and potentially make it super dangerous on streets. Track mode starts to cool the battery off and if it’s already room temperature, a cold battery doesn’t perform as well as a warm battery. So regular sports mode is usually the fastest !! especially if you just charge the battery and it’s warm and a high state of charge. Don’t use track mode unless you want to “drift”. I crashed my car on pick up day ,brand new, because I went into drift mode/track mode 😂. That’s part of the reason why I got a new metal skid plate because I ripped it off over a curb.😢😢😢
Awesome review!! Been wanting to pull the trigger on one for a while, but was waiting for a genuine review like this. Definitely makes my choice clear now.
You cant go wrong with a new Tesla…just getting better after every update…..no other car copmany do that….and the tech is at least 5-7 years ahead of every others……..enjoy
You almost had me with all the OMG’s… was waiting for, This is why you buy this car! I’m just not a fan and hope my driving days are over before this becomes the norm. Great review though.. yours is the only review I’d watch 👍
i gotta say it did impress me for what it is as a new form of technology we will see what the future brings to other automakers to see if they can ever convince me to buy an EV
I know the model 3 performance is nuts, and i have a QV 2017, they drive so different and both are fun in there different ways. I don't think you can say one is better, it's just different. Nilesh Patel 0 seconds ago Everyone will be so excited with full electric performance and get excited, but in 5-10 years everyone will want to drive emotion and that' s hard to find in electric cars. Gas cars will be the best at emotional driving, may not be the fastest or best handling but will feel more alive then any electric car every will.
ICE cars will be hobbies. Maybe. If we allow it. July was the hottest month ever. Next July will break that record. We're broiling to death because of what ICE did to the environment. We need to transition to sustainable energy ASAP. Nostalgia is no justification for pollution.
great video but i don't think they would ever put gears on an EV, think about it as Elon said "best part is no part" adding gear mean more moving parts more maintenance the idea of EV is less part meaning less fabrication also less thing to fix.
yes i do agree i just think to make EV more entertaining for us performance guys gears would be something fun and more engaging you never know what automakers may explore in the coming years ahead
Remember, EV's are about efficiency all the way down to the bolts. You get the instant power and torque due to the single gear transmission that can spread the power band across one gear. Movement waste energy and for electric cars that's a negative. Also keep in mind the styling of the Tesla's are in line with Elon Musk overall goal of creating a robotaxi network. Although the styling to me is pretty decent to have them look close to the best looking cars on the road is not the mission. For anything to be efficient, there has to be some give and take any many people don't realize this.
Thanks for this - I was wondering how you would react to a performance EV. I have a 2018 QV and love the driver engagement. For me too, the gear change experience, varied shift points etc is part of what I love in a performance vehicle. I drove my first EV recently, a Taycan Turbo, and had a similar reaction to yours with the lack of gearing. That car has a 2-speed transmission though and coming off the highway I felt it downshift and just smiled. Your comment on a 4-speed transmission just for driver engagement is spot on. This car also had a “sport sound” mode, but it sounded too synthetic and I switched it off. Unbelievable performance, but not for me just yet.
I went from a modified Subaru sti. To essentially this car. You don’t miss those things for long trust me. And you take this thing to an auto cross or the track and it’s feels unreal. Review from a car person who’s put a couple hours behind the wheel and noted it’s different isn’t so useful.
@@nealjohnson8508 Just ordered a 2021 performance should be here in a few weeks . I’m coming from having a G37 for the last 13 years bought it new in 2007 . 330 Hp was amazing back tgen
When I drove my friends Model S performance I was constantly reaching for paddles. In my Giulia I always use the paddles. His model S was bad build quality because it is a 2014, he said the wind noise in the S at 60 mph was the same as 2017 Giulia at 100. He went through a corner at 90+ in my car because he wasn’t use to how well it masks speed compared to the older s. Their build quality must have improved. The s is a boat so I guess I didn’t get the full Tesla experience. The s was not as nimble as the Giulia, but the 3 is around the same size and has a very low center of gravity so it must be different. Though on the base model 3s (sr+) there is no rear sway bar, so I’m not sure if the handling is compromised.
the build quality on most of these is suffering badly this car is a late 2020 build and every single panel the paint does not match, the rattles and noises as well. they are using very cheap materials throughout and this is why I want other automakers to use this technology with their designs and build quality to make these EV cars awesome one day. it will happen soon enough. If you can drive a Model 3 Performance to compare to the Giulia the reactivity of the chassis and steering feels like the Alfa on steroids but most of that is from the torque vectoring on all 4 wheels but its still impressive to feel and experience.
I did see the 21 model my neighbor has it. i still think there is not enough here for me to get one of these but if another Automaker took this tech and wrapped it into a sexier package i would have one for sure in the future. I am dying to drive a Porsche Taycan Turbo S i think that car would really appeal to me but the price is just ridiculous.
@@autofanaticcars Ive heard the e-Tron RS is all the fun of the Turbo (not the S) but in a cheaper package, more conventional interior and unique audi esq looks! Curious to see how the Turbo S taycan prices sit in a few years, surely they won’t be that astronomical
chanced upon your video - I had two Alfa's: the 156 JTS and the Brera V6 and since then I've only dreamt of a driver's car but never got down to it due to family commitments (Cayenne now). Have ordered and will be getting my Model 3 performance in 2 days' time - I hope the fellow Alfisti here are right and you guys just made me looking forward to it even more!
maybe one day they will incorporate a full fire suppression system throughout the cars like a race car, these are so damn heavy anyways whats another 100lbs
Haha! Right, I suspect something like that might eventually be installed, at least to relax consumers minds about the safety of these vehicles. To be honest no matter how much of a regular car experience they design into these EV’s - they are, and will remain, to be just toys as far as I’m concerned. There’s absolutely no way I could trust, or deal with, a car like that for my daily driver, or something I expect to remain reliable, have decent resale value (or increasing value), and that’ll last (batteries wear out). Forget feeling safe in a car accident in these (see Richard Hammond’s accident in the Rimac).
@@BigBear-- best daily ever made. The performance 3 is one for the record books. My friends won’t race me anymore. Trust me when I say this all your points are wrong. I drive 30k a year and save about 3k in gas comparison 2$ per gallon gas and 25mpg car. My 2019 performance has lost almost no value. Plus it drives itself, this is a bad review.
i think the secret to the cars reactive sharp feel is the dual motor AWD with torque vectoring on each wheel as the key. it does not feel like any AWD i ever drove in my life
I enjoyed the vid Phil. I don’t know much about evs except that once the battery and generator go it’s over. They r really expensive to replace them. What about if u wanna go cross country? There’s no infrastructure for that yet. They r more like a toy for kind of upper middle class ppl that can afford it. I’d like to learn more about evs in your vids like how long it takes to fully charge them and what’s the maintenance? No oil changes. That I know. What about resale value? I heard that it’s horrible.
I would never bash someone for buying one of these. They make perfect sense. Performance, gas free, tech. But I like style, looks, heritage.. special.. sexy. My Giulia QV makes perfect sense.. For me.
You should have tested out the autopilot by double tapping it into drive while on the road. Especially living in new york at rush hour that’s going to be life changing.
Phil, The Michelin‘s have a thick foam block insert glued against the inner wheel of the tire not the rim but the tire to isolate road noise! And all the weight is at the very bottom of the car so it is going to feel weird!
wow thats nuts the run flats that came on our Q50Rs has those foam blocks inside the tire. i think thats a band aid because the Tesla is really loud in the cabin on the highway. yes quality control is still poor on these cars which is why they are moving things to a new factory i heard in Texas.
same here now if this had the style of something sexy with a proper interior with some other stuff i would go out and buy one hands down just for the experience alone.
@@autofanaticcars I agree, that interior is just too boring. Specially considering what you get in Hyundais and Kias for half the price. Seems they could add a more sporty suspension setup too.
Ive driven an EV for a couple of days, not a tesla though. But i got boring after 2/3 days. I missed the sound of a engine and shifting gears. The acceleration was nice of course but too easy. Its nicer (in my opinion) if you have to "work for it" to get the best performance out of a car. Hopefully we can continue to enjoy our petrol cars for quite some time
Great review, you sum it up perfectly. I worked at Tesla for years and currently own the Giulia QV! Tesla makes phenomenal cars but driving a QV is very special. There are only a handful of cars throughout history that have the “X” factor like the QV! I often forget it has 4 doors!
Hello Max. I am curious to know what the driving experience difference is between the Tesla model and the Giulia QV (as far as handling is concerned). Great review about time I don’t see a huge fanboy review . With that said I order 2021 model performance few days ago . I wanted a Porsche Carrera S used of course with low miles but I have 2 daughters under five . And it’s not practical as of right now it will have to be my daily . But then one day I saw a performance 3 with those turbine wheels , I said wow it’s actually looks decent . I hated the way Tesla looked so I never considered, I agree all they need is more style. But in the end no more 91 octane at almost $5 a gallon in California, it has 4 doors , it does 0-60 in 3.1 sec , and performance styling is decent. As a daily it was the best combo for me and other auto makers like bmw & lexus couldn’t even come close to delivering all that in even a decent price
I would love to see more content on the tesla. Me and some of my friends own tesla's and we cant really do any mods to the car so most tesla owners I know spend a lot of time washing and detailing their tesla's.
First time finding this on your TH-cam Videos. I’m actually considering trading in my BMW 2015 435i M Sport Coup and getting an EV. Waiting for the home I’m building to be finished in late June before getting an EV. Don’t like the Tesla. I’m wanting the Kia EV6 AWD GT-Line. U.S. won’t get them until February. I think you would find the techno much different. Try to get one and do a video like you are doing now. There is a Video on TH-cam driving on German Autobahn at 119 mph. I’ll email you the link.
As far as having a gearbox Phil, I don’t know what today’s electric motors if that can be done I think it’s more efficient to have the electric motor spin at a higher RPM with all its torque someone will have to design a pretty sturdy gearbox to hold up to all the Constant torque coming out of the motor???
i was brainstorming how the new modern brushless RC cars work with multiple speed gearboxes and its insane what those things can do. Just watched a video on the new Rimac EV OMG its nuts but also 3 million bucks
Since my daily driver is a model Y long range, I cannot wait to see you wash your borrowed Tesla. Want to make sure I am using all of the Auto Fanatic products properly.
I totally agree with you on this review. I am interested in the performance and the technology of Tesla. But I just can`t get behind the design of the car for the price. I think Tesla fans underestimate how much demand there will be for legacy auto electric cars. That would be pretty cool if they could make a electric car with real motor noise and gears. Electric motors actually produce a loud sound and I don`t understand why so many of them are quiet.
It’s a magnet, theres no friction to create noise with. Maybe with poorly designed gears rubbing on each other you can get more noise. Be impressed they don’t make sound!
@@autofanaticcars yeah they call it vegan leather, they spent alot of time and money into making that material. its one of their ways to be more eco friendly.
Haha! I'm lucky enough to own a P3D and a Giulia QV. My P3D was track-prepped pretty heavily, for it needed more help at the track than my QV does. The P3D overheats quickly on track, though... I have videos on my channel of me on track in each at Road Atlanta where you can see the overheat issues. But for everyday use?? Yeah, the P3D is an excellent car. Not involved enough for me as I like to actually drive, but again... it's a great car for most. Go get your hands on a Plaid S if you think the P3D is quick! 9sec 1/4mi... stock.
thanks for sharing your ownership and feedback, interesting on the overheating because a few times i stabbed the throttle and i did feel a lag from multiple runs to 80.
@@autofanaticcars Yeah. The P3D is quick, not fast, meaning it'll get the jump on a lotta folks, but around 110mph it starts to run outta steam. Also, as the state of charge depletes, the energy/power depletes as well, so it inherently gets slower and slower as it runs out of power. Think about it like this... Leave your headlights on without the car running and watch the lights dim as the battery loses energy. That's what happens to the P3D, or any BEV for the most part EXCEPT maybe the Plaid S. I think Tesla is solving some of those problems as their battery tech advances.
@@genyosai These issues will be resolved with the new 4680 form factor battery cells. Also, build quality with the new Gigafactories will and have improved with the new Model Y's prototypes coming out of Shanghi.
I was split between a Model S Plaid and a Giulia QV when I couldn't even order a QV for 5 months this year. In the end I waited for the QV because I just couldn't see myself living with the clean room like minimalist interior, and that new Yoke steering wheel. The tech in Tesla is awesome, the exterior design is pretty good too, just let an Italian do the interior design and I could be sold.
You'll forget about the interior design of the Alpha quickly after you take it to the shop constantly. As much as I love the way the Giulia looks, you'll be lucky to get 100k from it.
People get hung up on the gearbox when that's antiquated as far as performance is concerned. Sure it's interactive but it takes away from what makes this car so quick and reactive.
I heard that the Telsa model doesn't have the same handling in multiple sharp curvy roads compared to other famous sports car brands. The sprint speed is superior to combustion engines cars for obvious reason, but not yet in par in curve handling against the famous. Brands. In order to make a fair comparison is to test the future EV's of the famous against the Tesla models. I appreciate if Auto Fanatic can give me your feedback after testing it. I haven't seen you test it in more challenging sharp curvy roads with the Tesla model. Thanks Francesco
Hi I have driven this on twisty roads however i did not film those days unfortunately. the handling is quite impressive on very sharp transitions, the brakes are decent not that impressive maybe because i had regen turned off. What is impressive is the sharpness of reactions due to the 4 wheel torque vectoring which is far superior to any mechanical AWD system today. I am still not 100% sold on a Tesla personally but we must see what the future brings. The Tesla to many may seem too sharp and nervous when driving it fast and spirited and I also felt that as well
I wonder if white or the midnight silver is better , o like the white and the smoked wheels look nice The Tesla’s are getting more appealing as they are refining the quality a lot since ten years ago! I hated the model 3 look now much more appealing It also says a lot aside from the battery tech and power a new company like Tesla made these cars such great driver cars handling etc ! Bmw esque
Fun video. Your excitement was what I felt when I picked up my ev. Mine isn’t as fast as that but my i3s is faster than most cars (non-ev) up to about 50. No way I can go back to a petrol/diesel car now. If you turn on the regen- braking just be careful when you get back into a car without that. When you expect a car to brake and it doesn’t it shits you up. 😂
no but if it looked like a Ferrari or Porsche I would be tempted to add one to my stable just for fun. it was a cool experience overall that I wanted to share with you guys.
While first impressions are positive, because of the instant torque available, EVs thus far, are harder to live with. On long trips all that torque isn't really used because it drains the batteries too quickly, so your EV become more similar to a Prius, being driven slowly on the highway. I like road trips to explore places, my Giulia Quad is perfect. A Tesla on the same trip would add an element of stress because of the need to recharge it so frequently. There are also places where charging stations aren't available.
yeah every time i was driving and punching it I was worried if I hit bad NY traffic i would be stressed out, there are more fuel stations in the world than EV charging stations and the infrastructure just isn't there yet in the USA and abroad right now so it depends how you would use the EV for your lifestyle. maybe a long trip would be an awful idea after all
That's what "chill" mode is for but like everything else there is an adjustment period. These cars aren't hard to drive at all you just have people that mentally won't adapt and that is a world problem. No wonder the world is screwed up the way it is. Just think how the transition from the horse and buggy to the ICEV went yet some people are still complaining. 🤣🤣
Tesla review spend a hell of a lot of time talking about the various options to fiddle with on screen. So happy it has a self drive feature so the car can drive while you fiddle with the screen for twenty minutes. I will avoid a car with screen based controls because I consider them dangerous. When you are in a car you are driving a weapon, anything that distracts you is a terrible idea.
Great to hear your perspective Phil. I have a 2017 Giulia QV and love it to death. But my mate convinced me to swap for his Model S dual motor for a week to experience a Tesla. I had the same reaction as you. I couldn’t believe how responsive it was. When I got back in my Giulia and drove home, with the exception of the steering, everything felt so sluggish. These Tesla’s seem to almost teleport up the road! Plus the all wheel drive and weight make them feel so planted no matter what the conditions. I’ve always got to be paying attention in the Alfa, which is part of the involvement I suppose. Keep the great content coming mate!
It needs a new steering wheel (looks generic) and driver info like the model S then I'll buy. Good 0-60 isn't enough for me to buy, considering most ppl drive like grannies anyways.
Your wanting shifters, Tesla’s answers by taking away all all the stocks. This car destroys all gas cars on the road, and bikes zero to 60. Plaid is about a half second Faster to 60. I don’t know any gas cars that will out launch this car. You have range anxiety. It takes awhile to adjust.

Planning to get one in about 4-5 years. Hopefully the next iteration will be out by then and include some significant upgrades like a center screen or some crazy advanced HUD, and upgraded styling on the front-end.
new one comes out early 2024
Prices of current generation already dropping here in July 2023
@@danielmiller9012 damn I said this a year ago 🤣..I actually ended up buying a Y Performance back in February after the price cuts..lol
What percent tint is on it? I want the same tint level on mine…
You’re not driving the refresh from this year. They fixed a lot of the outside nose issues and the center console is no longer that piano black
yes this is a late 20 model, that center console is terrible glad they replaced that.
That's why I bought a model 3 performance in 2019.
Really really good review!
I'm watching those cars so long & there are really few videos about most important aspect of the car, the freakin driving!
Glad you liked it! These do drive great go test drive one yourself
I recognized my commute from Rockland to city. Gr8 videos as always.
Is this a 2022 model 3 performance? I noticed the right and left mirror caps are black and from the tesla website they are the same color of the car.
My close buddy out of Fremont works for Tesla I remember him telling me for the first year their quality control was just horrendous..
My M3P is from Shanghai and I'm thankfull for that.
The bad quality from Fremont has become a running joke and meme already.
Awesome review!! Been wanting to pull the trigger on one for a while, but was waiting for a genuine review like this. Definitely makes my choice clear now.
Glad I could help!

Everyone will be so excited with full electric performance and get excited, but in 5-10 years everyone will want to drive emotion and that' s hard to find in electric cars. Gas cars will be the best at emotional driving, may not be the fastest or best handling but will feel more alive then any electric car every will.
this was fun to experience for a few days driving it and maybe il do more videos on the Tesla soon with some racing of other cars side by side
ICE cars will be hobbies. Maybe. If we allow it. July was the hottest month ever. Next July will break that record. We're broiling to death because of what ICE did to the environment. We need to transition to sustainable energy ASAP. Nostalgia is no justification for pollution.
@@alexanderhamilton8585 The traffic only contributes about 20% to the global warming. It will take much more to that to save the planet.
great video but i don't think they would ever put gears on an EV, think about it as Elon said "best part is no part" adding gear mean more moving parts more maintenance the idea of EV is less part meaning less fabrication also less thing to fix.
yes i do agree i just think to make EV more entertaining for us performance guys gears would be something fun and more engaging you never know what automakers may explore in the coming years ahead
What percentage tint do you have? Looks good!
Unbelievable performance, but not for me just yet.
thanks for sharing I am dying to drive a Taycan Turbo but not many around here as with most special cars no inventory out there now.
I went from a modified Subaru sti. To essentially this car. You don’t miss those things for long trust me. And you take this thing to an auto cross or the track and it’s feels unreal. Review from a car person who’s put a couple hours behind the wheel and noted it’s different isn’t so useful.

Just ordered a 2021 performance should be here in a few weeks .
The 20" stilettos look stunning on the car
Awesome video.
Where can one acquire those wheels? Can’t find it on their website.
they are optional from Tesla
@@autofanaticcars thanks
Gotta go check out the updated interior one, made it even better to me!
I like the E Tron as well find me one to drive around here if you can
Model 3 is the greatest value vehicle on the planet
chanced upon your video - I had two Alfa's: the 156 JTS and the Brera V6 and since then I've only dreamt of a driver's car but never got down to it due to family commitments (Cayenne now). Have ordered and will be getting my Model 3 performance in 2 days' time - I hope the fellow Alfisti here are right and you guys just made me looking forward to it even more!
Well done, very open-minded review! Btw: very nice neighborhood
Does the car come with included fire insurance? Or do you have to purchase that separately? What about a fire extinguisher?
maybe one day they will incorporate a full fire suppression system throughout the cars like a race car, these are so damn heavy anyways whats another 100lbs
@@BigBear-- every one of your points is incorrect.
All those heavy batteries mounted down low are probably a great player in the cars handling capabilities.
i think the secret to the cars reactive sharp feel is the dual motor AWD with torque vectoring on each wheel as the key. it does not feel like any AWD i ever drove in my life
What about the lack of engine exhaust noise? Isn’t it a bit dull?
this is like driving a giant battery power RC car literally
I enjoyed the vid Phil. I don’t know much about evs except that once the battery and generator go it’s over. They r really expensive to replace them. What about if u wanna go cross country? There’s no infrastructure for that yet. They r more like a toy for kind of upper middle class ppl that can afford it.
I’d like to learn more about evs in your vids like how long it takes to fully charge them and what’s the maintenance? No oil changes. That I know. What about resale value? I heard that it’s horrible.
yeah even the new Porsche Taycan has some special charging capabilities but the infrastructure is nil anywhere for that in the US and Europe they say.
Very good video. Just for your information, though, it does technically have a single-speed transmission (18:49).
I would never bash someone for buying one of these. They make perfect sense. Performance, gas free, tech.
But I like style, looks, heritage.. special.. sexy.
My Giulia QV makes perfect sense.. For me.
exactly, i think for a a daily car to do stuff its great
Are you in Westchester? Scarsdale or White Plains area?

You should have tested out the autopilot by double tapping it into drive while on the road. Especially living in new york at rush hour that’s going to be life changing.
unfortunately this car is gone it was flooded when we had a bad hurricane storm a few months back
@@autofanaticcars nooo!!! Get the 2022, a lot has been upgraded and they hold their value well
Phil, The Michelin‘s have a thick foam block insert glued against the inner wheel of the tire not the rim but the tire to isolate road noise!
Nice looking vehicle except for the front flat part. I guess I’m used to a grill.
same here now if this had the style of something sexy with a proper interior with some other stuff i would go out and buy one hands down just for the experience alone.
@@autofanaticcars I agree, that interior is just too boring. Specially considering what you get in Hyundais and Kias for half the price. Seems they could add a more sporty suspension setup too.
What year¿
Ive driven an EV for a couple of days, not a tesla though. But i got boring after 2/3 days. I missed the sound of a engine and shifting gears. The acceleration was nice of course but too easy. Its nicer (in my opinion) if you have to "work for it" to get the best performance out of a car.
Hopefully we can continue to enjoy our petrol cars for quite some time
July was the hottest month ever. We need to ban ICE ASAP.
Not sure if serious. QV is a slow gas guzzling polluter. Tesla's are far superior to Alfa's lol
I’d sub if you did more Tesla videos. Not interested in gas anything. Glad you liked it. That’s my car.
I’m getting one soon can’t wait
honestly these are really cool cars it got my interest now on an EV high performance car one of these days.
Yes, more content wanted on your Tesla Model 3 Performance - recent update & comparison to other recently driven high performance vehicles.
Unfortunately this car succumb to a bad flood in 2022 and was totaled
Great Review
Solid review mate
Glad you enjoyed it
Is that a single or dual motor?
dual motor
It is the future. Have you driven the Mustang Mach E yet?
few of my customers have the new Mach E but we have not linked up yet for me to check them out, hopefully soon
Yea almost $5 i want to trade in my 2021 veloster n lol not sure if i can do that. I want this car now 😩
Definitely buy one, it will change your life! ⚡️ 😎
I would love to see more content on the tesla. Me and some of my friends own tesla's and we cant really do any mods to the car so most tesla owners I know spend a lot of time washing and detailing their tesla's.
should happen soon as other things calm down with production and sorting out my other car situations.
I will do a wash video soon enough, looks to be super easy and would be good to see how well the rubber seals work for water evacuation on the jambs
If Tesla added a electronic manual shifter that would be nuts!
They do, the model S can
It’s a magnet, theres no friction to create noise with. Maybe with poorly designed gears rubbing on each other you can get more noise. Be impressed they don’t make sound!
If you want motor noise, buy a BMW i4. It's 100% artificial though.
the white seats are made in a special type of leather so they would never stain and are easy to clean.
they appear to be synthetic material similar to aviation and boat seating.
@@autofanaticcars yeah they call it vegan leather, they spent alot of time and money into making that material. its one of their ways to be more eco friendly.
What county are you in? At first I thought long island north shore, but then I thought Westchester. 🤔

Great video! Now time to make those custom splash guards for it!
already started working on those, just trying to come up with a better mounting solution since the Model 3 does not have a wide fender lip.
I’ve recently sold my Tesla M3P for the Giulia Quadrifoglio
I’d never go back
Smart man glad your love the QV
I think Tesla is solving some of those problems as their battery tech advances.
makes total sense i know when the range was at 203 miles it felt faster than when it went down to 120 range
What is a P3D ?
@@genyosai These issues will be resolved with the new 4680 form factor battery cells. Also, build quality with the new Gigafactories will and have improved with the new Model Y's prototypes coming out of Shanghi.
I wish my 2022 M3 performance came with those wheels.
ha ha ha yeah these are pretty nice wheels
Would love to see more content on this vehicle. Currently saving for a Model Y Performance. Can't wait!

Car has only been reviewed on you tube hundreds of times for years now.
Whoa kinda fast on those neighborhood roads.
Very good review
Are these the uberturbine wheels?
10:43, one of those already exists, Rimac Nevera :)
I was split between a Model S Plaid and a Giulia QV when I couldn't even order a QV for 5 months this year.
In the end I waited for the QV because I just couldn't see myself living with the clean room like minimalist interior, and that new Yoke steering wheel. The tech in Tesla is awesome, the exterior design is pretty good too, just let an Italian do the interior design and I could be sold.
i agree the QV is incredible
You'll forget about the interior design of the Alpha quickly after you take it to the shop constantly. As much as I love the way the Giulia looks, you'll be lucky to get 100k from it.
Ice is history…….
People get hung up on the gearbox when that's antiquated as far as performance is concerned. Sure it's interactive but it takes away from what makes this car so quick and reactive.
Would love to see a full detail 👍
So you're saying the designer of this car didn't know what he was doing? The same guy who designed the Pontiac Solstice.
The Tesla to many may seem too sharp and nervous when driving it fast and spirited and I also felt that as well
Add stiffer swaybars and forged wheels with 265 width, 200 wear tires, the car is a mountain pass beast.
The rims on the 2020 performance look so much better than the 2021
I think since they changed the exterior chrome accents to black for 2021 the black wheels might look better.
Those stock?
I wonder if white or the midnight silver is better , o like the white and the smoked wheels look nice
The Tesla’s are getting more appealing as they are refining the quality a lot since ten years ago! I hated the model 3 look now much more appealing
It also says a lot aside from the battery tech and power a new company like Tesla made these cars such great driver cars handling etc ! Bmw esque
I love mine….my beast
would you buy one though?
no but if it looked like a Ferrari or Porsche I would be tempted to add one to my stable just for fun. it was a cool experience overall that I wanted to share with you guys.
What % tints are those?
20%
Hyundai have already done the gearbox thing
Reviewing a 2019 M3 performance with chrome delete and powder coated wheels in 2021. Hmm.
Keep the great content coming mate!
thanks for also sharing your feedback with one of these cars it was definitely a cool experiences for sure
You're wrong. The Plaid is a full 1.5 seconds faster.
