    Finally a reviewer who tries out fighting games with this controller. Literally everyone else just tested it for retro games. Am debating currently between this and the xbox series x for SF5. I assume circle motions worked just as well in SF5 right? You mentioned you don't like the 3 grips on the dpad, so I should get one of the other 2 versions of this controller yea?

    • @FrameCounting

      I would get the other versions if they are available.

    I highly recommend this controller for fighting games. I bought the PlayStation One version without the grips. This quickly became my designated fighting game controller. The D-Pad is extremely reliable.

    I had the SN30 pro+ YEARS of use, still works, but one of the rubber button is faulty, would cost me £3 to get a replacement and easy fix, but... buying this one now :D -- 8bitdo is the brand

    I got the darker gray 8BitDo Pro 2, cause I like the symbols on the buttons, about a week ago and ordered a Retro-Bit Sega Saturn wireless controller with both dongles a few days ago and it is the controller to use for fighting games..but If you use Macro on the 8BitDo Pro 2 it can help you out a lot in certain fighting games or fighting simulation games

    If you don't like that texture on the dpad, you should have picked up the other two colors. Hahahaha. I picked up the grey one. Dpad is fantastic. Best controller ever purchased.

    I feel quite a bit of lag in wireless compared to DS4. Wired make it closer to DS4 though.
    Do you have any idea what's the polling rate of the controller? Will you do some input lag testing for this controller?
    Thanks in advance!

    Thank you for your review. I just got the pro 2, but mine is transparent purple. So I don't have the grippy markings on my d-pad. I have the traditional arrow markings. I noticed the d-pad is quite stiff compared to my dualshock 4 d-pad. Did you notice this is something that went away over time after breaking it in? or does it stay this way forever?

    I think the Pro 2 Classic G is the best 8bitdo product imo factoring in the cheap cost on many sales (I got mine for 25 euro), I would put their mechanical keyboard as #1 if it was full layout / had a numpad

    You know I definitely got used to playing sliding, so when I use controllers that have too much friction because they're designed to pivot, it's not nearly as comfortable as it was when I was a kid. My point is I have a trick also it isn't pretty. Just sick your thumb and use the spit to slide around.

      Did you end up doing it? I made the jump to the 8bit do m30 and I love everything except the lb rb buttons (Too thin). This looks like it remedies that so I wanna know. Did you make the jump?

    • @villagernumber9233
      @villagernumber9233 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi yeah I ended up going for the 8Bitdo pro 2 in the end. I have some mixed feelings about it, the dpad is a bit too flat. But the buttons are nice to press and I haven’t lost my platinum rank so I must be doing something right. Some reason I can’t play wireless even after buying the dongle. Doesn’t seem to pair together for some reason so I play wired. Thinking of switching to hitbox but haven’t had the time to play games lately.

      I dont know what you're on, searching dpad pro 2 reddit shows only positive feedbacks and people praising it. Besides, I think the dpad being rigid isnt really a downside it's just up to personal preference. Though if you really have to buy a controller over an arcade stick for fighting games, you'd probably be better off buying the M30 from the same brand
