Lowriders are slowly making a comeback. I grew up around them but never had one. I am looking for a Monte Carlo that Im gonna hook up. I have never installed hydraulics before myself, but thankfully I know folks who has. Lowriding is an expensive dream.
I hope they are! I got back into it in 2019. Sold a really nice Cutlass in December to fund my 64 rag top project. Maybe I should do some videos of the build
For being a suspension shop you would think these guys would know when you add switches without reinforcing the frame your asking for trouble. Regardless of it being a hopper or not there are a few areas that need reinforcement.
Nothing gonna happen with a four battery set up even if he runs 36volts to the front there’s not much to stress the the frame or body unless he does a high rear end lock up n three wheel for a couple years daily
Perfect setup for a street cruiser, same setup I put in my S10. That was my summer ride way back in 1997. Its been a long time since ive built a lowrider, but Im looking fkr a clean g-body to do a real nice body off, for a clean street cruiser.
I love your van bro! I recently just bought a "Switch Suspension Dixxon Flannel".. because I own a 1976 Chevy G20 Van also. I'd love to bring it bye sometime!
No reinforcements you are looking for trouble. I don’t care if it’s 4 batteries or not. I have been there Had to get whole new frame for my 63. And I got a Canadian one at that. Great install but would do so upgrading down line for sure. But then it depends on customer. You guys did great job on the trailing arms.
I’m new to all this but my guess is when it starts 3 wheeling as you said or bouncing when the frame could be constantly be under pressure and damage. Now for a 2 pump front side side play setup it doesn’t need it because it’s not bouncing more of lifting wheels off the ground
Sorry for the delayed response. Three wheel or lots of power and time to reinforce. This kit is very mild and will not do a thing to hurt this chassis or body.
Great video! I watch all of your content and enjoy it but as a lowrider lover, this one was one of my favorites. I'm curious as a potential future customer, what does this or something similar roughly cost? Thanks in advance!
Still could have given him FBSS with two pumps four dumps. I had a single pump two dumps, three switch in the rear of a Plymouth voyage mini van pro hopper 12" cylinders
I have a question for anybody in here that has disc brakes I have a 1963 impala I wanna do disc brakes I have 13 inch rims can anybody help me out on what disconversion I can do?
The fact that they didn't even reinforced the frame .. He will have issues later on down the road quick .. Even if its just a cruiser they should have don't that regardless..
Can’t wait to juice my Lincoln town car. Saving up rn. Got it on 13s with some beat. I’m only 20 I don’t got money for no 64 that’s big boy stuff. one day😂
Wow no other reinforcing ? U can't have one reinforcing done without the rest. One strong point will weaken a other. No matter if he's hopping or not it's all stress and overtime the frame or something will crack bend or break. Every real lowriding dude knows this. Smh shit ant going to last long

These videos are so cool! So well put together and we need more episodes!!
Thank you 🙏🏼 trying to do a new episode every 3-4 weeks
This is my version on the American dream right here. Bad ass cruiser on switches

Yeah that's what I was thinking I'm seeing buckled quarters, snapped trailing arms in the car owners future.
🤣 Everyone is an expert and has their own opinion. Our experience is just based on actual cars built not just commented on🤦🏻♂️

@@switchsuspension Nah buddy coming from a guy who who builds cars also, yeah your getting buckled quarters bent trailing arms.
Build it right or not at all.
I'm so happy these are back!
🙌
Great idea on how you did the power balls on the trailing arms. Most people just weld them on top. You Frenched them in. 🔥
I watched the video to see if I could learn anything more. And that was one thing I’m definitely doing on my new 64’ impala.
What’s a rough estimate on the cost of a project like this ?? Great work🔥
Happy to see you guys are back and especially with this episode featuring what my daughter calls Marco's 64' " the most beautiful gucci car"

Right on!
You guys are so cool. That 64 is rad!
I love your van bro! I recently just bought a "Switch Suspension Dixxon Flannel".. because I own a 1976 Chevy G20 Van also. I'd love to bring it bye sometime!

Fake news
Need more videos like this 🔥🔥🔥 i have a 63 on hydro's ⚡️
At what point do yall start thinking about reinforcing the frame? Right about when 3 wheeling hits the table?

Another amazing video
Thanks dude !!!
Great Video!!!!!!! What Carb. You switched into. Thinking about changing mines out my 82 Deville
Did he have to get the frame wrapped or re enforce the an arms and axel of anything?
If solenoid fires during pumping you have waste of power and piston dumps! Solenoid drops car no pumping needed. Right?
Great video!
I watch all of your content and enjoy it but as a lowrider lover, this one was one of my favorites.

Around $8500 all in 👊🏼
Ford Model T, VW Beetle and Ford F Series have all sold over 1 million cars in a year…as a matter of fact, the Model T did over 2 million!

Fun video!!!
What’s a price on a set up and install like that ?
that 64 needs some Wirez and a Moon roof primo!!
So what's the estimate average price for a basic setup like this ?? Seems everyone is scared to talk about pricing. Should be nothing to hide.
Around $8500 all in 👊🏼
8500, sheesh for a basic set up with no reinforcing. Ouch. For 8500 that a 4 pump 14 battery price plus reinforced frame.
how much would a work like this cost?
If he grew up working on low riders one would think he could do his own hydros
Costs as much moneey in equipment as it does for the install
Still could have given him FBSS with two pumps four dumps. I had a single pump two dumps, three switch in the rear of a Plymouth voyage mini van pro hopper 12" cylinders
Very cool 👍🏼
Should have got the Daytons at the same time .
I have a question for anybody in here that has disc brakes I have a 1963 impala I wanna do disc brakes I have 13 inch rims can anybody help me out on what disconversion I can do?
Give the shop a call or email. We have a “zero offset” kit designed specifically for 13” & 14” wheels. 800-928-1984 or sales@switchsuspension.com
The fact that they didn't even reinforced the frame .. He will have issues later on down the road quick .. Even if its just a cruiser they should have don't that regardless..
2.5 years later, no issues 🤷🏻♂️
What’s the cost of doing a small set up like that?….ball park
Can’t wait to juice my Lincoln town car. Saving up rn. Got it on 13s with some beat. I’m only 20 I don’t got money for no 64 that’s big boy stuff. one day😂
