    ive been running my set ups this way and find this to be the most fun and reliable way to lay and play, solenoids and switches are more than 5 years old easy i go through a starter every 3 years if that. Gears ive never had to replace

    if you have a chain bridge with adequate springs and cylinders the amount of batteries don't matter. the bridge forces the car into 3 wheel instead of relying on weight to do it

    the quick connect goes from the negative post of the 1st battery. the other end needs to connect to a solid piece of metal like the frame or the pump rack of it's mounted solid to the car. I like to put the female end of the connect hooked to the battery that way when it's unplugged the post can't accidentally ground out

    few different ways you can do it depending on what you are going for. For example if someone was building a hopper they would choose to run a 72 volt current. all 6 in a series to 1 pump. if you just have a street car safest way is 36 and 36 to each pump. you will wire the same as description except there is only 3 batteries instead of 4. you will need to run a jumper wire for the ground wire. its easy but I will post a video for you and draw it out on the board. thanks for watching

  • @two_coolers
    @two_coolers  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    @David with 3 batteries I would run 3 solenoids. You could run 2 but 3 is a lot safer. The quick disconnect will go in between the 1st point of the ground going to the batteries from the rack

  • @two_coolers
    @two_coolers  10 ปีที่แล้ว

    @flmik79 the reason is 1 solenoid can't handle the power. When there in parallel like they are they can handle more power.

    @mofat as far as the chain bridge goes. It's not easy to explain. I will see if I can make a vid showing it on paper and how it works. But unless you can weld really really good I suggest letting a shop do it. Those things are under serious pressure and if it breaks those cylinders are going through the deck and rear glass of that regal. You need to reinforce the axle too. There weak and won't hold up. Also a bridge will help keep the quarters of the car from buckling. Gbodys are bad about it

    @mofat. Sorry I don't mess with those cce prewired boxes to know what color wire it is. But take the lid off and the switch labeled back it should be a 6 prong the top 2 and bottom 2 are your power and dump leads. Those colored wires are what you'll need for the rear pumps. I'm trying to find time to do vid on wiring switches for 2 & 3 pumps. Maybe have up in a days or so. Hope this helps.

  • @two_coolers
    @two_coolers  8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I had a 2200 juiced it was bridged but only running 2 pumps. 6 batts across the tail. it was hard to hit 3 in the front but would hit front bumper doing 3 in the rear. so I suggest running 3 pumps and be carful not to stress your leaf springs to bad especially if your doing mono leaf. possible they could break. I would suggest doing a 4 link setup on the rear

  • @two_coolers
    @two_coolers  11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You cannot run hydraulic batteries to a alternator because they are wired in series. You have to charge batteries individually with a charger. Takes about 30 to 45 minutes per battery if its dead. But that's one of the biggest issues with hydraulics people not keeping the batteries charged. Pop solenoids and burn up motors as well as wear the batteries out.

  • @two_coolers
    @two_coolers  10 ปีที่แล้ว

    @mofat9803 look at the vid I did for the chain bridge. See if that helps you out. For the arms there's few dif. ways to do them. I'll see if I can make a vid to explain it. As far as stroke in front. A 8" cylinder is usually about it. There's things that can be done to get high lockup but involves alotta work to the front end. Most cars don't even use full stroke on 8's if you got good springs

    Not a problem. But question before I do are you wanting to run all 8 to the pumps? Is this a double pump hopper or just a street car. Because all 8 to each pump is A LOT of power. I had a 4 pump 8 batt. streetcar and was running 4 batts per 2 pumps. Let me know what your looking to do and ill make vid tomorrow. Thanks

    What happen to the video for wiring up switches?

  • @two_coolers
    @two_coolers  10 ปีที่แล้ว

    @balin309 there could be several things wrong. Without seeing it there's no way for me to tell. Somethings that can go wrong motor goes out, pumphead goes out, solenoids are bad. If the check valve is bad it will leak down or pump will spin but not move cylinder. Check valve should be at pressure side of block before dump body. Sorry I can't better help you but like I said without seeing what its not doing its hard for me to trouble shoot. Start by making sure your getting power to the pump 1st

      Where he wrote "in" would be the disconnect connect to the Frame somewhere.

  • @2low2rl
    @2low2rl 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    No. No. No. You don't want or even need 48v to the rear. Unless your building a dancer just have their leads attach to the second battery so they get 24v. If you over power the back it's going to hop. Unless you want that.

    • @two_coolers
      @two_coolers  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joseph Keith Yates II a lot depends on your intentions. if it's just a cruiser yes 2 banks of 4 at 48 volts would be great. the backs gonna be fast so you could do 5 and 3 that way more power to front snap it a little quicker and back would be about perfect on 36volts.

    • @McSwayne
      @McSwayne 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    How should I wire it if I got three pumps , 8 batteries?

    • @2low2rl
      @2low2rl 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is very wrong. You don't want your rear pumps having the same as the front ones. I actually have the exact same setup you mention. Have 24 volts going to the back. Not all 8. Unless your building a dancer.

    • @two_coolers
      @two_coolers  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yes, but depending on your setup as far as it being built as a hopper or just a streetcar lay and play 5 batteries to the nose and 4 to the rear. Just keep in mind 60 volts is alot of power to regular motors and solenoids. if it's a basic street car I would just stick with 8 batts 48 volts to front 48 to rear. atleast 3 to 4 solenoids per pump
