Figured this might help the community more than *yet another* unboxing video... ...But don't worry, I did shoot one of those too! 😬 Stay tuned for that and a video on a sneaky new addition to my stack (hint: I updated my gear page: pixel-leaves.com/gear 🌿)
This is why I think people watch your videos, simple, to the point, and meaningful. I talk a lot about organization, but never thought about just showing my base settings, it makes a huge difference. Well done.
Will watch this video once I got my A6 X2 Manta. I ordered on Dec 13 and it hasn’t been shipped yet to Calgary, AB 🇨🇦. Maybe I’ll get it next year. I bought through the affiliate link; I hope it helps the channel. Kudos!
Wonderful. Clear and useful, and though I have been using my nomad for months, I plunged full on without exploring everything. You helped me fix a few default annoyances ( sleep at 10 minutes in particular). Looking forward to seeing how you organize files and folders as I wait for my Manta to arriva. Brava!
Oh wow, thanks for checking it out!! Appreciate the kind words especially coming from someone with your production quality! (I’m lowkey hoping one day you’ll do a setup tour…)
I don't understand how we get such quality content for a niche device, but thanks! I've been surprised how many issues the A6X2 has in horizontal mode. I have to use it that way for notes because it's just so small, but it struggles to recognize 2-finger gestures for erasing, and consistently has ghosting issues where the screen darkens every 20 seconds. I think it has something to do with scrolling the page up and down because of the horizontal view. The simplicity of the device is still worth it for me, and has really enhanced my studying!
I’ll be honest here and say that, as a long-time contributor on the Supernote subreddit/Facebook, one of my goals is to head off some common questions/posts about these settings and options, or have something to link to in reply instead of typing it all out like I used to 😁
Right now thinking to still mainly use the Nomad (prefer that size and portability), and use the Manta at my desk/when a bigger screen is useful (PDFs with small text, to do demos in videos). :)
@ Oh! Thank you for the quick and kind response! May I ask you one more thing? Is it possible to write memo while reading books? (Epub). And is it also convenient to use this way? I also have one e-reader but just curious! And I was going to buy A6X2 before watching this video, but now am considering again haha. I truly appreciate it in advance!
The Word app is just for proofreading and typing, basically. It doesn’t store handwritten text, can just convert short sections of it to text. I very rarely use it. Every handwritten note feature SN is really known for is in the Note app
Thank you for showing the anti-aliasing feature. I am interested in your comment about other devices smoothing it out "a little overzealous"--why do you feel that way? It would seem the Manta's anti-aliasing still leaves some pixelation after the post-processing takes place. Is that accurate?
Not sure if it’s the case on the latest firmware/devices, but as an example I remember really disliking Boox’s at one point because it smoothed out the writing so much it looked strange to me-almost cartoonish. I thought it made my handwriting look worse, not better (like bad vectorizing if you’re familiar with that)
@@pixelleaves I have the Go 10.3 and the writing looks extremely smooth (no pixelation whatsoever). I didn't feel it looked cartoonish but that could just be my subjective take on it. Thank you for the reply!
@@MrCubanNightmare keep in mind this is SUPER zoomed in as well, not reading distance. Even perfectly antialiased text on Photoshop looks janky if you zoom in a lot. And yeah it’s personal preference. I used to work in graphic design and I write with fountain pens a lot, so I think that combines to make me picky about some things!
I appreciate your help 🎉 Can I change the pen loop to the left because I am a left handed. Besides, I saw Arabic language so we can use Arabic language too ? Can you tell me about its ROM and its RAM ? Is it good for studying ?
@usjdoc If it's the literal numbers and amount of memory etc., I would be getting them from the website as well since it's tech specs and not based on my opinion. But I went ahead and looked them up for you anyway: 32 GB (expandable by up to 2TB microSD card)/ RK3566 Quad-Core 1.8 GHz / 4 GB RAM

I don’t think your decision not to read the description, where I do mention I received this device from Ratta (with no strings attached) and that the description includes affiliate links, should merit being called “disgusting”. I don’t get paid to produce videos on these devices, I use them, like them, and try to be helpful. Merry Christmas btw
As someone waiting to order the Manta this is very handy 🥹 thank you. I just watched the other Supernote tips for about the headings to follow in one note and the to do list as a project tracker. I’m looking to use the Manta alongside my planner to either replace with this or use like a primary 60% 40% with my planner so I can actually make efforts to publish a book. I’m just a big time struggler with AuDHD and disabled but I’m determined and I got many friends who I need to deliver copies to so I got to see it through and write it for them. I’m gonna try. I’m just waiting for a military discount code. It’s a bit expensive but I like the modularity and sustainability aspect to the device as well as helping to minimize distractions and simplify the flow of productivity I need all the help I can get lol 😆
@@pixelleaves 🥹 That gives me a lot of hope actually. I know not everyone is the same but the person behind the planner I use has ADHD as well. I got it in checkout I just got to wait for my military discount and thank you so much! I really appreciate it. I am trying to keep myself steadfast because I'd really like to have this come to light and doctors and friends have encouraged me so I just got to believe in myself and write it.

It does help a lot, thank you so much for your support! ❤️ Hoping you get you SN soon!
She is so good and professional. The sweetest presentation.
I've checked a couple of settings from this video. Very helpful thank you 😊

Yay, another fantastic video! Thank you!
Surprise, you're on candid "Livestream" LOL. Thank you for the guide, we thoroughly enjoyed it!

And sorry for accidentally dissing your button 🥺 I can’t help that the tapping works for me hahaha
@@pixelleaves he's overly sensitive to the button, and the I think the gestures are user error. 😂

Oh! You got Manta! so quick question for you. Are you going to stop using Nomad? Or you are just going to use both of them, for each purpose!

Yep, I learned loads. Thanks so much! 🙂
That’s high praise from you! Thank you, Kit!
Nice video!
Just curious, can we have a pen comparison or something like how to choose the pen for the first-time users?
You know, now that I have an HoM2 to compare I think I can finally justify a dedicated pen video, so I may do one very soon :)
Much appreciated. Thanks.
Great walkthrough, very clear instructions for newbies to the platform 😊
Thank you! I hope people find it helpful
Excellent video again from pixel leaves! Thank you! What are the advantages of using the Supernote NOTE app over the WORD app on the device?

1. You can flip the device 2. Not the interface 3. Specs on the website :)
