Really appreciate your review. I’ve been researching this device as a possible purchase and this is the first review I’ve seen that felt genuine, not sensationalized, and more like someone simply sitting down to tell me what they think of their device.
You totally skipped over some of the strongest features (and missed that yes, there IS a shortcut to the lasso tool) - the ability to use a PDF file as a template for your notes (as opposed to marking up a PDF), and you can create your own hyperlinks - to pages within the same notebook, to other notebooks, to pages within other notebooks, or even to external web pages. This is the main reason I looked at something other than my beloved reMarkable 2. It is an amazing little device. It hasn’t replaced my reMarkable 2, but it is now the carry everywhere device.
I have the A5X and it is the only device I can write on as neatly as with a ballpoint on a notepad. There's really nothing out there at the moment that can build structures, shift, organise, search and navigate through vast swathes of text like the Supernote platform. There's more to it than that obviously, but for my user-case, if it looked like a brick I'd still purchase it.
Moving UP from Field Notes as my carry everywhere data capture device, the Nomad feels actually large to me. I’ve moved my MDO and MMP to it, and find it more than adequate in size for both of those.
In every video I've watched about this product, it seems to take multiple swipes or taps for the unit to register the click. Is this really the case? This would drive me insane.
Hi, discovering your channel here. I like the format of your reviews, but have a suggestion: you should disclose if these are completely independent reviews or native ads, if the device was sent to you for review or if you bought it with your own money. Are you an indenpendent reviewer or an influencer? thank you in advance
As long as the device works, it’s great. But if it has a problem, the company doesn’t stand by its product. Supernote takes weeks to respond. The screen breaks very easily, even inside its folio.
I changed mine to 2 finger for lasso in the settings. You can delete from that menu that pops up, but as you noted, there is so much more functionality available when you use the lasso function. I tried going back to my iPad and it just isn’t the same. I use the A5x right now, and I am looking forward to the upgrade. The new todo function is awesome. I love how they continue to innovate the product. It is a little slow but I am guessing they are a small company and doing what they can.

This is my favorite comment I’ve ever received. This is exactly what I want this channel to be like. Thank you. 🙌🏻

Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for this post. Those are some major features I would have been unaware of

Love that 🙌🏻
Impressive flow, man, well done!

That’s awesome. Love that. And battery life is awesome.
I have the A5X2 on the way. I'd love to have both sizes, but just this one was hard to justify (price).
Nice!
Geez. A string of typos. Fixed.
Your “Home Page” IS the menu… Customize it by adding files or directories to the Quick Access section.
Nice! 🙌🏻

Uhmmm yeah kinda haha especially if you’re using it in your lap - non desk setting. The touch gestures aren’t super accurate

Not a bad idea... Will consider maybe adding this to the beginning of videos. Thanks!

There is a shortcut for the laso, two Finger on the screen. Similar to eraser shortcut on the bar.
Yooooo thanks! Life saver!
Yeah, you can change them according to your preference. 2 fingers on the screen for eraser and 2 fingers on the side bar for the lasso and vice versa.

We're waiting, and waiting, and waiting for the A4. The Nomad is fantastic, but just a wee too small. RATTA: PLEASE bring out the A4.
Agreed! Bring em out!
Is the A5 too small?
the rubbery sensation goes away as I write more ..as its supposed to.
Nice! Same!
Can you complete pdf forms sent to your email?
Like grab them off email and mark them up?
Yes
Can you easily upload notes to Google drive?
purchased a penstar enote and returned my nomad. It felt weird swiping my fingers down to access the menu. Made me not want to do it.
Nice! Just got a penstar. Any tips?
But that’s more like a Remarkable 2 than something this size.
Hope you’re enjoying it though!
I'll pass thanks.
Okie!
