    Opposite for me. I found the TSR3 too inconsistent/unstable that led to too many different shots or mishits. The TSR2 for me sounds better, feels better and is very consistent on flight and direction. Maybe it spins a bit more but I'd rather be in the fairway than a few yards further and in the trees. Now to pair it with the best shaft....

    The pattern I'm seeing with all of the TSR review videos is the 3 seems easier to turn over than the 2. I don't like drivers that "leak" right. Thanks for your review !!

    • @TheDeepsilver
      @TheDeepsilver ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's the other way around - construction wise, 3 is slightly fade biased whiile 2 is neutral

    You're a much better ball striker than me but I found the tsr2 too spinny and high of a launch while having a worse dispersion. So I am happy to see I'm not crazy!

    Thank you so much most detailed answers and not being a jerk about it btw great swing !!!that 318 drive in real life would easily go 330 mabye morI think sims are accurate but off by 20 30 yards in real game what I mean real game sitsuatuon adrenaline pumping brain etc and the course conditions

    I did a fitting and my TSI 3 was 290 carry on good strikes. I was seeing 300 carry with TR2 head. Bought on the spot. Feel like friendlier head lets me make a bit more of a faster swing. Hopefully trackman wasn't set to higher elevation.

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hopefully not 😂😂 again there are always soooo many variables really when it comes to distance, we know for most the TSi3 would be a longer hear typically than the TSR2 with the same delivery, strike ect (although that would depend on angle of attack and delivered loft) but normally lower spin equals more distance as a general rule. But if you feel more confident with the 2 and get great numbers out of it, then it's a clear winner 🙌

    I own the 2 and the 3 and I have had the exact same experience. Both are nice, but I get a little more pop, slightly nicer feel, and fractionally lower launch/spin with the 3, but experience no noticeable difference in forgiveness.

  • @KayakFishingAddict
    @KayakFishingAddict ปีที่แล้ว

    I would have liked to see your dispersion pattern between the two for those 60 or so shots. The few swings shown looked like you were more consistent with the TSR2. To me that's what was meant by "forgiveness".....off center shots go straight.

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can see it top right when I'm discussing the ball data differences.
      The 3 was much tighter front to back and the 2 was marginally better left to right.
      Well I guess to actually scientifically tell if the 2 goes straighter than the 3 on mishits it would mean trying to get 2 identical swings with mm same strike and exactly the same face to path to see the difference, which is probably never going to happen with me 😅
      But if you asked my honest opinion if the 2 is better then the 3 on mishits I would say no.
      The 3 is awesome.
      Most people hit bad shots and put it down to the club, when in reality if they had delivered the same face to path and strike with any other club it still would have been a bad shot.

    I appreciate your work on this comparision. However, all of these comparison videos are really anecdotal observations. As a point of reference Cam Smith and Jordan Spieth play the TRS2.

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks. Well I would say I do go to great lengths to make sure they are as factual as possible. In terms of all I'm trying to show is how differently the heads perform in terms of launch and spin. And yes the whole idea that the 2 is a more forgiving higher handicap driver is rediculous. In fact the whole idea any clubs are based on handicaps is just nonsense really. They just perform differently so will be better for different delivery types with different misses. Nothing to do with handicap

      @@epgolfstudios I didn't mean to sound so critical, you've obviously put a tremendous amount of work into this video. I agree with your points 100%. I have a 60 year old mid 80s mph swing, my gamer was launching too high and losing distance, Titlelist fit me into a TSR2 8deg with a stiff Fugikura to bring the flight down. Low and behold I gained 20+ yds carry.

  • @johnhathaway735
    @johnhathaway735 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ok so I’ve got no issue with legit any driver almost hitting “line balls” I struggle to draw a driver I currently have the tsi2 driver (lower handicapper but I’m a low spin low flight player) so it made sense 2 years ago for my driver not to be a 3
    Ironically (as I’m getting my speed back trying to get back into it 2 years along after 5 years of not playing at all)
    I’m not getting these spinny shots. (Not overly high but spinny like dying after a launched take off)
    I’m curious if I should lower loft from 9 and get a tsr2 8 degree or just switch to my normal set up 9 degree tsr3? My speed today is like 103 -105 where 2 years ago I was like 99 mph. (I’m slowly getting back towards my 110 mph which is my goal eventually) I’m at 2380 ish spin rate 9.5-10 ish launch (remember straight is my go too shot cuts have to be teed super low or spin too much for my current driver)
    I also game a blue ventus velocore (not tr) I’m curious what u think may “slightly bring down spin” loft/shaft or moving into a 3 driver head (I have zero issue with smaller heads I prefer them actually)
    Btw the tsr3 is legit sweet feeling sounding and looking

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey John..Wow! That's a comment! 😅 But yeah to bring down the spin a touch I wouldn't be looking to shaft, definitely need to be looking at head. And if you prefer the smaller shape then going TSR3 at 9* would probably be your best bet.
      However I would say your launch is a little low for your speed, I'm sure you already know this but putting some graft into hitting up on the ball more would have a big effect on increasing that distance while staying at the same speed. It's probably worth doing that in my opinion and then going and getting fitted properly.
      And yeah I agree TSR3 is amazing when it comes to look/sound/feel. Although I think it will be very close with the Paradym for me. Mainly behind the ball, love how the Paradym sits.

      @@epgolfstudios I really appreciate the feedback. You seem like the guy to ask on TH-cam haha! .
      I am currently trying to hit more up. I used to be the golfer that could hit his 15 degree 3 wood off a tee almost as far as a perfect driver (I hit great going downward struggle on anything above a few degrees upwards w driver)
      But yea you seemed to get along with the callaway driver well. Hit it the longest out of the videos I’ve seen. Taylormade possibly second in distance (of the 2023)
      Have you reviewed the latest ping driver ? (I may have watched it I’ve seen so many driver videos it’s a blur 🤣)
      But seriously thanks for the reply it does help my thought process. I greatly appreciate it. Cheers

    So is movable weight more beneficial than ‘forgiveness’ of the 2? Debating a 10.0 tsr3 vs 9.0 tsr2 …

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Personally I would go first off your miss, if you have more of a right miss I would probably lean towards the 2, with a left miss I would probably lean towards the 3, then id go off looks. Then if you have a very consistent strike miss obviously the 3 would be slightly better with the moveable weight.

      @@epgolfstudios awesome video. I was custom fit for the 2 late last year, and tomorrow i'll be trying/comparing the 3 here at 2ndSwing in the states. Like to hear that the 3 is more fade biased, since my miss is def. left and also that its just as forgiving as the 2. My SS with driver is 96-99 mph, + attack angle about 4 deg. not a high swing speed, but i'll let the data tomorrow make my my decision. Like the looks of the 3 better too and the fact that i can move the weight in the rear track around behind my patterned impact location in order to lessen the gear effect

    TSR2's ball speed went down when you deleted "bad shots"? 🤔

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว

      For me bad shots will be offline, generally not struck that badly, the reason I delete ones that are offline (generally ones that are more than 30 yards offline) is because that will have a big effect on launch conditions, for example I may have hit more long left pull draws with the TSR2 then that would make it appear more low launch and low spin than it actually is, those shots could be very high in ball speed, but need deleting to keep launch and spin numbers closer to where they should be for that head. Same as if I hit them right it would be showing very high Launch and high spin, again I do normally strike the ball well so those shots could be high ball speed.
