    Great video! I hit my XR16 around 220y carry. I guess my club head speed is around 90-95, not sure. Seeing you hit it at about the same speed but 20-30y longer is interesting. My driver is in standard settings 9,5 neutral. I'm gonna try to tee up higher and go down to 8,5, and also try to hit higher on the toe. See if I can get more yardage. Keep the vidz coming!

    My swingspeed is about 90 with the driver. I play Callaway Mavrik 10,5 with a projekt x evenflow riptide 50 graphite shaft regular. My average attack angel is 2 and spin rate about 3000. Is spin rate to hight ?
    Iam thinking of changing shaft, can you recommend some shaft to test ? Or other recommendations ?

    Excellent video brilliant detail and super helpful to the majority of us golfers who are around that swing speed.....It would be great to see how the triple diamond works at those speeds ,do you think that would be a club that would help players that present a lot of dynamic loft?

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Sp! Yes it would! Ultimately if you deliver too much loft you need a lower lofted head and the lower spin head design, so the Triple Diamond, Stealth 2 Plus, TSR3/4. Like I showed when I hit the TSR4 at 7.25* in this video. Even at a slower swing speed then numbers were nearly perfect...

    Another great review Ross. I'm curious about that front weight on the standard Stealth 2, how much does it weigh and would you say it's sits directly behind a heel strike location? Tempted to go with a shorter shaft and pop a heavier weight in there.

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Lloyd! And yeah...I'm not 100% sure yet! I'll have a look tomorrow and get back to you 👌 yeah it's quite in the heel tbh. Yeah well how short are you thinking of going? As the TMs standard swingweight too heavy at standard length. At 45" they would be around D1/2 which is great for most people I find so wouldn't have to worry about adding weight back in.

    • @GRIFF22
      @GRIFF22 ปีที่แล้ว

      @epgolfstudios I usually play D4, but I can't deal with 45.75" , so I'd go 45" and add 4/5g in that heel weight...and that'll most likely be an aftermarket ebay job.That's the one thing Titleist does better than Taylormade...if you wanna go shorter they really explain their surefit weight options. I wish Taylormade could offer some heavier or lighter weights.

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Generally speaking you wouldn't go into X with someone swinging at 95mph. But we know shafts don't have a big difference to launch and spin so really it all comes down to what shaft matches you with the player better

    @jack-hq7gr ปีที่แล้ว

    Appreciate the details- seems like the choice comes down to looks and mostly other subjective aspects- the Titleist sure fit hosel allows for staying within the TS and older range Titleist drivers- not sure that is the same for Stealth? Having shaft options is always an under expressed purchase value.

      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks bud. Well if I'm honest speed is a bit irrelevant. Like if I swang at my normal speed the launch and spin would still be similar and the tendancies of the head would be similar, so it basically doesn't really matter 😂 it would just go a bit further. Plus even if I did swing at my normal speed, my delivery could still be way different from yours, so the numbers I get could still be completely different to what you would get. But no doing 3 different speeds would take me forever and the videos would be mega long! 😂

      Hi there! In all honesty you can't go wrong with either, they really are both great drivers and perform super similarly. One is not really longer or more forgiving in my opinion. The most important thing you can do is get fitted or at least try them out somewhere. People often just gel with some heads better than others, and the confidence one head may give you over the other could make a big difference.

    • @jerryjohnson9531
      @jerryjohnson9531 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just don't see how that is possible. When I swing at 95 mph with a launch monitor I am lucky to carry 225 max.

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd say with a decent optimised flight you'd be looking around 235 carry, say 14 - 15* launch and 2000 backspin, and again efficiency will come into that a lot too. 250 probably is plausible but as I mention above work extreme launch conditions, almost like long driver, so like 18 - 19* launch and 1800 backspin

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok so you need very extreme launch conditions to get 250 carry from 95 club speed. I just managed it with 95.8mph club speed on GC Quad...1.47 efficiency so 141mph ball speed. 16.7* launch and 1400 backspin got me 250 carry. Using a 7.5* Stealth 2+ and hitting 11.3* up on the ball.....but some would say quad will over read numbers like that and I would probably agree so the likelihood of getting 250 carry outside from 95 club speed is very very slim ....

  • @coreyr9757
    @coreyr9757 ปีที่แล้ว

    You’re putting far too much stock in Foresight’s ball flight algorithm. It vastly exaggerates carry when spin gets down around 2,000 and lower. I own a GC2 but their flight algorithm is terrible. Nobody can carry it 264 with 148 ball speed, period. Video is well done but this is misinformation and somebody watching this with low to mid 140’s ball speed has no business with 2,000 spin. Because a high toe strike is going to turn in to 1,500 RPM and be unplayable. They’re much better off with the 2,600-2,800 spin than 2,000.

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it isn't the best at low spin we all know that but depending on how low the reading is it's normally only 5 yards maybe 10 yards very max at around those speeds. And yeah I wasn't necessarily saying that you should play 2k spin that would depend on lots of variables including strike and directional miss, my point was just don't think because you have lower speed you need a high lofted driver. And no i personally disagree; 26-2800 is too much at that speed. 22-2400 would be better, however there are a lot of variables to take into account there so that would be different person to person. If someone did miss high toe and left I may bump that up but if the consistent miss was a fade high right with a heel strike we could go lower

    Great video, and I do agree that many higher handicap players that deliver too much loft and spin would benefit from the “better player” low spin and low loft drivers. Curious about the weight configuration you used in the tsr4. I assume you had the heavier weight towards the face. I will say, from experience, when that weight is forward in those type of drivers it does reduce the MOI and they can be less forgiving. Playing those drivers in those settings does come with a risk. Keep up the good work 🏌🏻‍♂️

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks bud. And in complete honesty I can't really remember 😂 I have tinkered with it quite a lot. The stock set up is an 11 at the front and 3 at the back I believe from memory. I generally use the 3 at the front and 13 at the back as I play it at 45" currently.

    • @legend9018
      @legend9018 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@epgolfstudios I have the tsr2 and the weight kit and I was messing about with those to see how it impacted distance, forgiveness etc. I had set the driver aside for a while and then took it out to play and hit one of my longest drives ever with it. It sounded a little strange which I initially didn’t think too much about. I hit another great tee shot with it and then realized that I had left the weight port in the back completely empty (which was accounting for the slightly different sound). I believe the stock weight is 9 grams so I obviously changed the swing weight with the weight port left empty but I am really shocked at the distance I gained by doing that accidentally. I am going to put the lightest weight (3 grams) in there to see if it will improve the sound. It would be an interesting video to see and maybe even bring in a student and not tell them what you’ve done to the weight configuration. Thank you for your reply and your great content 🙏

I agree I never got on with Stealth, but Stealth 2 seems a good improvement! But you can't go wrong with TSR2 tbh. You wouldn't see any improvement going to Stealth 2 from TSR2
