I review the brand new range of Titleist TSR drivers....hitting all 3 models TSR2 TSR3 & TSR4 using TrackMan to measure performance of these brand new golf clubs. I'll also provide details of the technology Titleist have introduced and of course my personal feedback on the looks, feel & performance.

Superb review, I have been playing the TSR3 (10 degrees) with the Tensei 1K Black and really like it but after testing the TSR2 (9 degrees) recently with the same shaft, the numbers were almost identical but with added forgiveness and tighter dispersion so now I am very tempted to change to the TSR2.

Really glad to hear the TSR4 is a bit more forgiving. I don’t have extremely high club speed (around 108-114) but I have a steep attack angle and it will be great to keep the spin down while still having some forgiveness.

Sounds amazing off the face. Can’t wait for my fitting tomorrow

Dammit, man. I just got fit for the ST-G. I thought the TSi3 felt more solid on center-strikes, but Mizzy was more forgiving that day. Plus the Mizzy sounded better, to me, all over the face, which I was SURELY exploring that evening. It also looked great. To me, the Mizuno and the Titliest are best looking drivers out there.

You had the 11 custom option in TSi3 also but it came after the launch so nobody really heard about it.

If you already have a TSI 3 you would be crazy to spend 650 plus for a couple of steps . Just a thought !!!

I'm looking for slightly smaller headed driver and TSR4 seems like the only one in the market do offer just that.
I'm always struggling with 460cc head.
Once my Z585 is done and over with I'm getting TSR4 next.

What’s your handicap ? I have tsi4 (smaller) head and I hit it better than anything else I ever owned, thinking about the TSR4 just not sure if my club head speed is fast enough! Thanks

Good stuff. 👍. I've noticed the low strike in the TSR3 not being quite as good as the others on speed too. You can get a sense of the difference faces. It's cool tech.

Hi Mike, I game TSi4 and was very interested to see how the new TSR4 compared in performance so I had a look at your TSi4 review from last year. On average, you were swinging 2mph faster in that video and 11 yards further in total. Effectively, despite the design changes, there's no real performance advantage with the TSR. I can sleep peacefully now 😉

For some odd reason when I look at the underside of these Clubs they remind me of a Tesla.
Cosmetically the new TSR range is a big improvement on previous models and Titleist seems to have caught up with Callaway with their new face designs and with PING & TM with their rear weighting.

Been playing the tsi3 with a graphite design ad-di in 9* for the past couple years. I seem to hover around 2500 spin, and would like to get it down, but I'm more interested in forgiveness right now. I didn't play the tsi2 because of looks and the higher spin profile. I am now really looking at TSR2 because it looks really good, and I think would provide more forgiveness than my current tsi3. My only concern is I don't want the spin to be higher that the tsi3. What is the consensus on spin from tsi3 vs tsr2? I've hit my tsi3 on trackman a bunch, but I am not able to try the tsr2 on trackman unless I purchase one. Another driver I'm very interested in is the ping g430 lst.

These are nice looking drivers. Hit the TSR 3 & 4 yesterday. Spent more time with the 4 in 9 degrees and the stock shaft in x-stiff. I was getting around 16 degree launch angle with about 2,000 on backspin. Interesting thing was spin didn’t ballon on me on shots out to right and didn’t lose too much spin on most of my left misses. Didn’t get to hit enough with the TSR 3 to get a full comparison yet. Similar distance with Stealth on center strikes but the miss to the right I saw a much bigger increase in spin with the stealth. Spin on the Ping LST was similar to the TSR on shots out to the right but the ball was more than 10 yards shorter. Going to be hard to beat the TSR…just need to play around and decide on the exact specs.

I've always had the best luck with the Titleist xxxx2 vs xxxx3 heads. I always compensated for the higher spin of the 2 by going down a loft. It's great to see the 2 now has very similar spin numbers to the 3. The 2's are so much more forgiving vs the 3.

You could make that argument for the 2 & 3, but the 4 seems a lot more different than models past
