absolutely savage sending those rod caps home with the impact
several machnist values ignored.. no mic on the crank, or polish..just slap some standard size bearing in and run it. I noticed the water pump weep hole was busy too.. they simply put the old pump back on. used oil.😅 good old 90 degree v8 anyway.

They probably used old oil to test it then drained that and added new oil. I have done that many times.

i like all of the unfiltered black oil with all of the unknown debris from the last engine to have had it going into the sump, makes it all worth while building it back up, i 'll give it about 1 year before somethink major goes wrong.
There's already something majorly wrong with it with that cylinder misfire going on!

This engine will not live another year...... No torque wrench.... wrong order in unscrewin and screwing the head, surfacing the head. The high pressure pump is controlled, and new cylinderlinings, thats all.....

Hope you don't mind me be critical boys What you should be doing is using a torque wrench? for the cylinder head. crankshaft. And the Conrods on the Pistons. hope you don't mind me saying but I've done thousands of engines in my life.

So many of these genius rebuilds have been submerged for years in salt water of fresh water. These guys are novices. Nothing that works as hard as an 8 cylinder diesel engine can be reassembled without a torque wrench.
im surprised how you restored it with only a few tools. but you didnt use the torque wrench. all those bolts needs to be in the right torque otherwise it wont last.

Don't know how that motor got so dirty. What's that in a marine engine? It fell into the ocean got sand through it. What the heck sure it's spotless on the outside beautiful on the outside.
Shouldn't the bolts securing the main journals of the crankshaft and cylinder head be replaced with new ones, they are disposable?
Quy tắc khi căng chỉnh máy chạy ngọt êm hay ko, đừng nên lắp bô trước, nếu trong 8 máy có 1 hoặc 2 máy pet bị chết hoặc ko phun sương, ra khói trắng, nếu lắp bô vào như thế thì biết máy nào có vấn đề
Покрасили хорошо. Распредвал с кавернами, коленвал с бороздами - не померили и не отполировали хотя бы. При запуске вода бежит струйками из стыков, а из фильтров капает солярка. Зато покрасили хорошо и от песка почистили, новые гильзы поставили...... Трудно судить по их возможностям, но раз так делают, значит у них такой ремонт востребован.

@@pic9375 They probably didn't set the valve clearances after the hokey ass valve job and didn't tend to the compression release valves.

there are 3 valves per cylinder. What is the little valve for? EGR? Compression release?
Not a master Mechanic . We didn’t see a torque wrench being used . Didn’t see the valve adjustment. I wouldn’t trust there workmanship ether.

Primero no usaron una llave dinamometrica para apretar los tornillos y segundo hay un inyector fallando y usar aceite viejo no es bueno mucho carbon tiene

What kind of of engine is this I know the description says c11 but I've never seen a c11 v8 with mechanical injection pump maybe 3208 or something but ç series are electronic

No tedy vážení, co jste to tomu motoru provedli...chod motoru je ve vyšších otáčkách hrozný... nepravidelný, hádá se...z jedné řady válců se kouří, po chvíli běhu se kouří dokonce i z nalévacího hrdla oleje...no a ten vyjetý olej do motoru po repasi...pánové...😳 barva sice pěkná, ale jinak nic...

Genius? Hardly more like barely adequate. No measuring clearances, no proper torqing of any bolt. If it lasts a month I'd be surprised.
