Hi there. If using a stand mixer, how much time is needed to get the window pane effect and at what speed. In addition, when adding the butter how many minutes with the mixer and at what speed. Thank you .
Hi Jessica, thank you for watching! Using a stand mixer, you will start mixing the dough on the lowest speed for about 2mins until just combined. Then, increase the speed to medium for 2mins - this is the time you will add flour if it’s too sticky, make sure not too add too much. Then continue beating for 5-6mins. After doing so, you can 1/2 of the butter initially and beat for 2mins. Then, add the rest, beat at same speed. The butter can inhibit the gluten formation which is necessary for the bread to make it soft. Hope this will help. Happy baking!

Hi me again Just an update Last weekend I made your recipe Spanish Bread and I over cooked them but still they were soft and yummy it was all gone an hour after Today I tried it again made a smaller sizes of each bread then the other batch I made into a macapuno cream cheese pandesal with the same recipe as Spanish Bread And my thank you Lord I found your recipe and am telling you they are so soft and yummy and smells so good Baked them in a 300 deg F here in Las Vegas for 30 minutes Grabe saya ko po Such a success Thank you so much If only I can send you pics I will

Of course. You can use plain flour but the bread is much more softer when you use bread flour. Happy baking!
